The BGMS Season 5 Playoffs are set to begin on August 31 as the BGMI Masters Series Season 5 enters its final and most important week. After three weeks of competition, six teams have already booked their places in the Grand Finals, while 16 teams will now compete for the remaining 10 spots.
The Playoffs will run from August 31 to September 2, followed by the BGMS Season 5 Grand Finals from September 4 to 6. More than ₹1 crore in prize money is on the line as some of India’s biggest BGMI teams continue their fight for the BGMI Masters Series 2026 trophy.
Six Teams Qualify Directly for BGMS Season 5 Grand Finals
iQOO Team Tamilas finished at the top of the Super Weekend leaderboard with 460 points and secured direct qualification for the Grand Finals.
The six directly qualified teams are:
- iQOO Team Tamilas
- Elite Nova Esports
- iQOO SOUL
- Nebula Esports
- Gladiators Esports
- IRIS MYTH
Vasista Esports and Gladiators Esports have also been among the most successful teams in terms of match wins, with both recording 11 Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCDs) so far.
On the individual leaderboard, Team Apex Gaming’s Hydro leads the MVP race with 198 eliminations.

BGMS Season 5 Playoffs Feature GodLike and Orangutan
The remaining 16 teams will compete in the Playoffs from August 31 to September 2. Only the top 10 teams will qualify for the Grand Finals, while the bottom six will see their BGMS Season 5 journey come to an end.
Two of the biggest names entering the Playoffs are GodLike Esports and iQOO Orangutan. Both teams joined BGMS Season 5 during Super Weekend 1 after returning from their international campaign.
GodLike and Orangutan competed at the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2026 and reached its Grand Finals before returning to India for BGMS.
Their presence adds another interesting battle to the Playoffs as they now need to finish inside the top 10 to keep their BGMI Masters Series 2026 title hopes alive.
BGMI Masters Series 2026 Playoffs Schedule and Timings
The Playoffs will feature six matches every day, with matches scheduled to begin from 3:30 PM IST.
The tournament schedule for the final week is:
- August 31 – Playoffs
- September 1 – Playoffs
- September 2 – Playoffs
- September 4 – Grand Finals
- September 5 – Grand Finals
- September 6 – Grand Finals
According to NODWIN Gaming, fans can tune into the broadcasts from 4:00 PM IST onwards.
The Grand Finals will feature the six directly qualified teams alongside the top 10 teams from the Playoffs, creating a 16-team final lobby.
NODWIN Gaming also revealed some major viewership numbers for the ongoing season.
BGMS Season 5 has crossed 20 million total views and seven million watch hours. The tournament has also recorded peak concurrent viewership of more than 220,000 viewers, including watch parties.
After the three-day Playoffs, the final 16 teams will compete from September 4 to 6 to decide the BGMS Season 5 champion and the distribution of the ₹1 crore+ prize pool.
Fans will also be able to attend the Grand Finals in person, with tickets currently available through OneApp and the official BGMS ticketing portal.
