Embark Studios has just revealed the contents of the upcoming Arc Raiders Frozen Trail update, the biggest patch that the game has received since launch, and there’s plenty to dig into.
In addition to a new map and several new Arc enemies, players will also be able to settle in their new Outposts, craft new weapons, amplify their existing weapons, and more.
In this article, we’ll go through everything you need to know about the Arc Raiders Frozen Trail update.
New Map: Pendola Pass
Pendola Pass is the next map to be added to Arc Raiders with the Frozen Trails update. It is a snowy Italian village and Exodus transport hub beyond the Rust Belt, and Raiders will be able to visit a supermarket, a town square, an observatory and a buried train depot.
The main attraction, however, is a fallen Emperor with rare tech inside, and sudden flash freezes make the valley more dangerous. A huge ARC Frigate also patrols the area. Raiders board it and fight through tight corridors against both ARC and rival squads.
New Arcs: Bully, Skulker, Hydra
The Arc Raiders Frozen Trails update will introduce several new Arc enemies for players to encounter.
- Bully: A fast machine that attacks Raiders relentlessly.
- Skulker: A hit-and-run enemy that lurks at the edge of a fight, strikes, then vanishes.
- Hydra: A stationary turret aboard the Frigate. Its three independent sections can pressure a whole squad.
Raider Outposts
Raider Outposts are a personal base between the Rust Belt and the mountains. You can decorate them with modules and furniture. They also house the new Research Workstation, which drives late-game upgrades and amplified weapons.
Amplified Weapons
A fully upgraded Research Workstation lets selected weapons reach a fifth quality level with branching upgrades. A Burletta can go fully automatic, a Renegade can get a scope, and a Rattler can fire incendiary rounds from a 64-round magazine. 15 weapons are supported at launch.
New Weapons & Gadgets
Alongside the amplified weapons, we’re getting two new weapons with the new Arc Raiders update. The Stiletto is a light-ammo battle rifle and a cheaper alternative to the Renegade, while the Bantam is a heavy-ammo revolver with inaccurate but strong hip-fire.
There are also some exciting new gadgets coming to the game: a Grappling Hook for climbing and swinging, a Tether Launcher that can tether targets together, a Yank Grenade that can be used to pull other Raiders out of cover or slam Arcs into the ground, and a Camera with tons of unique features that can save photos to the Codex. There’s also a Harmonica and a Banjo for players who are looking for more instruments to play in the Rust Belt.
Reward Pass
Raider Decks are now converted to Reward Passes, with three separate tracks. The Free Pass includes 200 Raider Tokens, five outfits, and 20 cosmetics. The Premium Pass adds exclusive colorways, weapon stencils, and 1,150 tokens. The Legacy Pass is free and merges your existing Raider Decks so past progress carries over. A Collector Set DLC bundles both passes with extra cosmetics and 2,400 tokens.
That’s everything you need to know about the Arc Raiders Frozen Trails update. Be sure to read more about the upcoming patch in the official content preview posted by Embark.
