‘Among Us’ Hits 295 Million Monthly Active Players

Among Us is the most downloaded game of this month.

According to data provided by App Annie, Innersloth’s murder-mystery title ‘Among Us’ has crossed a whopping 295 million monthly active players in October 2020.

This number includes players across the world on Android and iOS devices, as well as the Chinese player base of Among Us.

Originally released way back in 2018, Among Us failed to gain much traction before it was picked up by some popular streamers and YouTubers around July 2020. From then on, it was pretty much a steady uphill climb for the title as its popularity continued skyrocketing with each passing day.

This sudden growth wasn’t free from difficulties, though. With the rising player count, the server problems worsened significantly due to the increased load. However, Innersloth has reassured fans that they plan on fixing these server issues in an upcoming update.

Alongside server fixes, some other additions expected to arrive in the next Among Us update include a new map, an Accounts’ feature, and more colorblind support. If you wish to know more about the next update you can check the details here.

Among Us has also cemented its place towards the top of the Twitch charts, proving that it’s a great game not only for the players, but for viewers as well. Some notable streamers who are often seen streaming Among Us are PewDiePie, Pokimane, Valkyrae, moistcr1tikal, Sykkuno, Corpse, and many others.
