Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore: Teams, Prize Pool and all you need to know

We are getting close to the first international event announced by Garena in February 2021. Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore is the first season of the 2021 global event. Top teams from all around the globe will be competing to win share from the $2M prize pool and champions title. It will be an offline event at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Initially, a total of 22 teams from 14 regions were invited to the event. But, due to travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, four qualifying teams from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh could not travel to Singapore.

FFWS 2021 FORMAT

The 18 invited teams will be seeded into Play-Ins and Finals where the top 3 teams from Play-Ins will qualify for Finals.

Play-Ins of Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore will take place on 28th May 2021. A total of 9 teams will battle in the Play-Ins stage whereas the top 3 teams will be joining the rest of the teams in the finals. Here is the list of teams who will be participating in the Play-Ins stage.

FINALS

The finals are scheduled to take place on 30th May 2021. The world’s best 12 teams will be competing for a massive prize pool of $2M. The winning team will get $500,000 from the prize pool and champions title. Here is the list of already qualified teams.

Indian, Pakistan and Bangladesh teams ruled out from the event

As Free Fire World Series 2021 was an offline event. All teams had to travel from their respective regions and report at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. But due to the national travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, two qualifying teams from India and one team each from Pakistan and Bangladesh could not travel to Singapore. As a result, teams were ruled out from the event. To compensate the teams for not playing in the event, all four teams were given a portion of the prize pool.

  • Team CHAOS (India) – $40,000
  • Team TG (Pakistan) – $40,000
  • Riot (Bangladesh) – $40,000
