Why did Tayhuhu get banned from Twitch?

Professional Valorant player Taynah “Tayhuhu” Yukimi was banned on Twitch for an indefinite period for reasons that sparked outrage in the community, asking Twitch to revoke the ban.

Tayhuhu rose to fame last year, as her channel grew with Valorant, making it the face of her content. Besides streaming, she is a professional Valorant player for the Brazilian esports organization INTZ in the women-only league.

The rising popularity of Valorant helped skyrocket her channel that averages 300 concurrent viewers. Her responsibilities extended further as other than being a pro player, she is a mom to a 3-year-old daughter.

She left her 22nd December stream unattended to answer the delivery person at the door during which her daughter made her way to the setup and interacted with the chat, violating the streaming regulations of Twitch that disallow anyone below 13 to stream on their platform.

The community realizes that being a mother is hard and the incident was an honest mistake on Tayhuhu’s part. Everyone hopes Twitch to be forgiving and revoke the ban on her channel, letting her stream once again as a ban was too harsh of a punishment for a mistake that nominal.

This begs the question that if Twitch would consider Tayhuhu’s case and rescind her punishment. Twitch is surrounded by multiple controversies most of which are regarding how they handle bans. Revoking Tayhuhu’s ban would set an example that the Amazon owned streaming platform are looking to mend their ways.
