Remedy Entertainment has confirmed a release date for Control Resonant, the sequel to its 2019 paranormal action game Control. To mark the occasion, Epic Games has announced a Fortnite crossover that lets players earn the Dylan Faden skin for free.
What Is Control Resonant?
Control Resonant is Remedy Entertainment’s sequel to the critically acclaimed Control. It launches worldwide on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The game places players in control of Dylan Faden, a supernaturally able character who first appeared as a supporting character in the original game. Dylan is released from captivity by the Federal Bureau of Control and must deal with a paranormal disaster in Manhattan.
A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available. It includes two days of early access and bonus content: an untapped artifact wallet, a digital art book, the original soundtrack, and the AWE mission outfit.
How to Get the Fortnite Control Resonant Dylan Faden Skin for Free
You can earn the Dylan Faden skin in Fortnite without spending any V-Bucks. The method is the Epic Games Store Loyalty Promotion. If you purchase or pre-purchase Control Resonant on the Epic Games Store, the Dylan Faden skin gets added to your Fortnite locker.
Control Resonant costs $59.99 for its Standard Edition on the Epic Games Store.
Follow these steps to claim the skin:
- Open the Epic Games Store via the desktop app or a web browser.
- Search for “Control Resonant” in the search bar, or find it on the store’s main page where pre-orders are now live.
- Click on the Control Resonant listing and complete your purchase.
- Once the purchase is done, open Fortnite and head to your locker.
Make sure the Epic account you use to buy the game is the same account linked to your Fortnite profile. The skin will not appear in your locker right away. Epic will add it once the game releases and a first look at the skin is officially revealed.
