Yesterday Twitch announced that they are in the process to send out personalized 2020 Twitch Recap emails with details on what channels you watched the most, how long you watched them, total hours of content watched on Twitch, what channels you are subscribed to, and what emote you used the most.

The 2020 Twitch Recap emails even detail the number of chats you sent, although it also includes spam so the number is definitely higher than usual. The email also details the most-watched category of the year by you and how it compares to Twitch’s own platform-wide most-watched category.

In the year 2020 Twitch saw a massive surge in the number of users. With everyone confined in their home, Twitch became the top form of entertainment for many. As more streamers joined the platform, the average viewership also skyrocketed. In December 2020 alone more than 1,875,753,102 hours worth of content was streamed worldwide.

Similar to Facebook’s year review, the personalized recap is Twitch’s way to connect more with the new users in hopes to retain most of them even after the pandemic is over, and restrictions are lifted worldwide.

The recap emails are rolling out throughout the day, so if you haven’t received yours yet fret not the email is in the pipeline and will reach your inbox soon.
