Ellis ‘Gig’ Hindle, the Rainbow Six Siege coach for Singapore Invictus Gaming has been arrested in Manchester, UK following an assault on an ex-girlfriend.

Aimee Southern, who was romantically involved with Hindle brought charges against him that eventually led to his arrest. The R6 coach has since been out on bail following accusations of verbal and physical abuse. In a tweet, Southern shared her version of the story that involved instances of verbal abuse, cheating, and physical assault to say the least.

“He’d call me so many horrible things and describe me as “worthless” or “delusional” or a “coward” for not doing what he wanted.” ” He shook me and screamed at me the entire drive to his and left a massive bruise on my arm with small cuts from his nails. I’d banged my head whilst at the pub and had a very large bump across my skull and was violently throwing up; I asked to go to the hospital to check these bumps” read her statement.

The arrest took place on 11th June but Gig has been held on bail. Following the arrest, he begged viewers to wait for his side of the story. He accepted the allegations of cheating and verbal abuse but denies anything beyond that. “I fully admit I cheated and spoke to her like shit at times but that’s as far as it goes.”. he said.

He confirmed that the police are dealing with the situation and a concrete outcome will be available by July 9th. He also added that his side of the story will be publicized “in due course”.
