Valorant to get new game mode HURM

Valorant was becoming stagnant in terms of game mode for a long time, players often find themselves in death-matches to train their aim, but nothing has been done to practice the abilities against live players.

Ability-enabled team death-matches allows players to practise the abilities, before trying them out in a live match. There are several offensive abilities that require aiming and dynamism that can be improved with practise.

Valorant Game Mode: HURM

This new game mode will see players change the way they warmup. Players often craved to practise abilities in real time against real players where they can improve its application without having to create a server alone to practise them.

Besides practise, there is a fun factor that can attract players to it. A new game mode is always fun and allows it to compete with CSGO who’s open source nature leaves room for crazy new game modes.

The audience reaction from the leaks suggest that it will be a great addition to the game but given if it is dropped where certain abilities make it unplayable will make waste of a great idea.

PMWI Afterparty Showdown Day 3: Schedule, Teams, and more

PMWI Afterparty event is about to end today and on the final day, there is a long schedule planned by the officials where players will play more than usual matches to compete for a grand prize pool of $1 million. Here is everything you need to know about Day 3 of PMWI Afterparty.

PMWI Afterparty is the second phase of the famous mid seasonal PUBG Mobile tournament. The top five teams from the main event are mixed up with some invited teams to compete for entertainment and more prize money.

Alpha7 Esports is currently leading the scoreboard and the winners, Vampire Esports, are slightly behind them. Here is what is planned for Day 3.

The list of matches will be as follows. The games will start from 4:30 PM IST and end after a long day with last match scheduled on 8:10 PM IST.

Valorant 5.04 PBE patch notes: What’s New?

Players on the PBE, already know what to expect from the upcoming 5.04 update. With confirmed changes to kits of several agents, the patch will address both major and minor bugs that were plaguing the game for a long time.

The 5.04 update heavily focuses on quality control and will ensure the bugs that were discovered on a large scale has been addressed along with optimising the game to ensure a smoother experience.

Most importantly, the update will see improvements in the game engine, i.e the Unreal Engine which will mostly iron out the wrinks in performance.

Valorant 5.04 PBE Patch Notes:

AUG 19 weekend PBE will focus on Patch stability and crosshair changes.

GENERAL

  • We did it, our upgrade to Unreal Engine 4.26 is complete and it’s what you’ll play on during this PBE. Still lots of data and metrics collecting going on to see the state of things.

AGENTS

  • Fixed a bug where Yoru’s Gatecrash would sometimes leave floor markers in incorrect locations
  • Fixed a bug where Chamber’s trademarks were not knifeable

GAME SYSTEM

Crosshair quality of life changes!

  • Added the ability to select a custom crosshair color.
    • Go to Settings >> Crosshair >> Primary, Aim Down Sights, or Sniper Scope
    • On the drop down menu for color, select Custom and input the Hex Code (6-digit RGB) value of desired color
    • If a non-Hex code is entered, crosshair will revert to the previous color.
  • Added the ability to independently tune horizontal and vertical crosshair lines.
    • Go to Settings >> Crosshair >> Primary or Aim Down Sights >> Inner/Outer Length
      • Disabling the middle “chain” icon enables independent tuning.
      • Left slider is for horizontal line and the right slider is for the vertical line.
  • Added the ability to copy spectating player’s crosshair settings
    • When spectating another player, type “/crosshair copy” or “/cc” to import the crosshair of the player you are spectating and save it as a new crosshair profile
  • Increased the number of crosshair profiles available from 10 to 15

Valorant PBE

Much like any other pre-built version, Riot offers users to get a sneak peak into the what the future holds for the game. Players can sign up for the PBE which doesn’t necessarily means that their account will be restricted to the beta version of the game but testing the updates out early will make sure when it hits the live server its ready to go without causing any issues.

Xur, the cloaked monster, is returning to Destiny 2 to sell some mysterious items to players on this weekend. This will be the last appearance of Xur before the season ends and so, the marketplace will be available with him just for this weekend. Check out the location of Xur for this weekend in Destiny 2 and the items they are selling.

The timeline of Xur’s appearance is now released by the developers. He will appear in the game on 19th August and will take his leave on Tuesday, August 23. He is currently located in the Nessus by the Watcher’s grave.

Epic and Bungie are onto a secret collaboration where we will see famous characters from Destiny Universe coming soon to Fortnite as playable characters.

Just recently, Epic dropped one of the biggest anime crossover updates in the game’s history after the Fortnite x Dragon Ball crossover went live earlier this week.

Epic brought the highly popular series to the game with four fan-favorite characters — Goku, Vegeta,  Bulma, and Beerus. In addition to the Dragon Ball characters loads of new dragon ball themed items, game mode, and power-ups.

While the Dragon Ball update is still afresh, many fans are looking for the next big collaboration that many leakers have been talking about recently. Right after the Dragon ball update went live on August 16th, news of the Fortnite x Destiny crossover started circulating on Twitter.

Fortnite leaker, MidaRado, recently tweeted out that a new collab would be coming to Fortnite next week which may feature characters from Doom, Family Guy, or The Lord of the Rings. Later in a follow-up tweet, he added that Destiny could also be among the possible feature drop coming next week. 

While Mida floated the idea of four different series, a further vote of confidence about Fortnite x Destiny came when famous leaker, HYPEX, shared the information that a Destiny 2 collab will “most likely” happen next.

PMWI Afterparty Showdown Day 2: Standings, Results, and more

The second day of the PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown ended with Alpha7 Esports finishing at the top of the overall leaderboard. The team scored a total of 137 points in 12 matches. PMWI 2022 champions, Vampire Esports finished at the second spot with 110 points followed by Team FalconS with 102 points and Damwon Gaming with 83 points.

Vampire Esports took three chicken dinners on day 2 while Team Falcons took two chicken dinners and Alpha7 Esports managed to get one chicken dinner. A total of 18 matches will be played in 3 days that will decide the winner of the PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown.

Vampire Esports had a great day on the battlefield. The squad jumped from 7th to 2nd spot after the completion of day 2 matches. Whereas, 7Sea Esports are still in the last spot in the overall standings.

The second week of PMWI 2022 has commenced with the 12 invited teams as a part of the Afterparty Showdown. The event features a massive prize pool of $1M USD distributed amongst all the teams as overall standing awards, chicken dinner awards, fan-favorite awards, and many more.

As it approaches its ten-year anniversary in just a few short days, CS:GO keeps climbing to new heights and shattering its own records. On August 17, Steam Charts reported 1,039,889 concurrent gamers.

It was on this day that Valve released the unique birthday week update for CS:GO. As part of the celebrations for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s birthday week, which began on August 17, five new maps were added to the official matching pool. One of these new maps was the much-anticipated release of Tuscan, which is a popular map in Counter-Strike: 1.6.

The introduction of a community-created sticker collection known as the “10 Year Birthday Sticker Capsule” was, however, the highlight of the update. It included sixty-five designs that were submitted by members of the community and were shortlisted by Valve as part of the “CSGO10 Sticker Contest,” which was announced earlier this year in March.

The player base has gathered together in enormous numbers just in time for the commencement of its birthday week, bringing the average user count for the last 30 days to a solid 613,243.5 gamers.

However, the most impressive element is that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was also able to hit a peak of 1,039,889 concurrent players. This milestone was reached after only four months, having previously been accomplished in April 2022.

It is also the game’s biggest peak player count since May 2021, when 1,087,197 concurrent players were clocked playing CS:GO, making it the highest peak player count ever for the game.

A loss of 63,457.6 players had been seen back then, which amounted to a loss of 8.77%, but this time there is a gain of 18,790.4 players. This is an intriguing takeaway from what has been noticed, and it is important to note that.
