Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Wastelander Magneto Release Date Revealed

Ever since the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, players have been keen on the secret skin on the Battle Pass. The skin in question here is the Wastelander Magneto. Fortnite gives you the ability to hustle your way to the skins like T-60 Power Armor or Megalo Don. If hustle is not your thing then you can just buy out the levels on the Battle Pass. On the other hand, secret skins require a bit of patience.

Earlier instances of Fortnite’s collaboration with Marvel have been pretty successful, amounting to upwards of 60 skins in the game. The newest Marvel addition to Fortnite is Wastelander Magneto. The hype for Magneto’s skin has been real and most players can’t wait for the release. However, the only way to gain access to Wastelander Magneto is to wait. The in-game timer suggests that the Wastelander Magneto skins and cosmetics will be available on July 2nd, 2024.

After the Wastelander Magneto skin is released, it is most likely to be caged behind some task. We have already seen something similar happen in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 with the Solid Snake Skin. Wastelander Magneto skin is poised to bring 10 cosmetic items with its release. Which will most likely have 10 challenges to unlock all the items.

Considering the release date, we still have almost 6 weeks before the Wastelander Magneto skin release. Fortunately, once the skin gets released, the challenges won’t go away quickly allowing you enough time to unlock all you can get.

The latest update in the Destiny 2 series will be launched on the 4th of June. Here is an extensive guide on preloading the expansion so that you can play it on the launch day without hindrances. 

Going back to where it all began

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is the perfect ending to the Light vs Darkness saga that began way back in 2015 according to Bungie. The past decade has put the players through numerous adventures, and boss battles and has had an amazing run at success. 

Despite the misfortune faced by bungie just recently, the team has confidence in its final chapter’s release coming up in the next week where the players have to stop the Witness (anti-hero in the game) from destroying the Universe from inside the Traveler.

We have all heard about incidents where players have complained of not being able to play Valorant due to some kind of ban, on a second-hand PC or a laptop they purchased. That happens due to the hardware being banned by Vanguard, Valorant’s anti-cheat software.

Ever wondered how the hardware ban works in Valorant and why it is implemented? Let’s take a deep dive to get a better understanding of how Hardware bans work in Valorant.

How does the Valorant Hardware Ban work

When you install Valorant for the first time on your PC, an add-on software is also installed called Vanguard. This software collects some information from the hardware like the processor, graphics card, motherboard, ram, HDD, SSD, etc.

This information collected can consist of hardware’s make and model, unique serial number, etc. or any information that can help Vanguard identify the device. This is where a HWID (Hardware ID) is generated and assigned to every piece of hardware in your system.

When you start playing Valorant, Vanguard watches all the game files like a hawk for any 3rd party software intrusion and monitors hardware activity as most cheats like aim bots, esp hack or wall hack tap into the graphical data.

In case, Vanguard finds any hacks being run on the system, Valorant shuts down your active match and bans your account as well as the HWID assigned to your PC. This causes all of your hardware to be banned from Valorant.

Pros and Cons of Hardware Ban

Valorant goes for the hardware ban hammer when they catch cheaters. It’s their way of making sure banned players can’t just hop back in with a new account on the same PC.

With that being said, Hardware Ban causes issues when cheaters sell their system as a whole or sell it piece by piece. Any which way, the buyer will get an account ban if they use a hardware previously used to cheat with.

BGIS 2024 Wildcard Stage Format

The Wildcard stage of BGIS 2024 features 64 teams, comprised of 16 teams from Round 3 and 48 teams from Round 4. These teams are divided into 4 groups of 16. Each group competes in 3 matches over the first 2 days. Following this, teams are reshuffled based on their overall standings and engage in another set of 3 matches over the next 2 days. The performance across these matches determines the overall standings. Ultimately, the top 16 teams based on the cumulative standings will advance to Semi Finals Week 1.

Some important points to understand before we move ahead:

  • You can only add players on the same server to your friends list.
  • Once you have sent the friend request, there is no way to take it back or cancel it.
  • You can add a maximum of 45 players to your friends list
  • If needed you can mute, block, or unfriend a player for the My Friends list.

To add any friends to your in-game friends list, you first need to reach Adventure Rank 2. Once you reach Adventure Rank 2, ask your friend for their UID which is visible under their profile picture in the Menu. Once you have the UID follow the steps below:

  • Go to Menu
  • Click on ‘Friends’
  • Click on the ‘Add Friends’ tab (2nd tab on the top)
  • Enter your friend’s UID in the Search bar, your friend’s profile should be visible below.
  • Click ‘Add Friend’

That’s it! Now all you have to do is wait for your friend to accept the request. Once your friend has accepted your request, you are free to team up, explore, and conquer the lands of Teyvat.

NAVI Donates $125,000 CS2 Major Winnings to Ukrainian Defense

In an act of solidarity, Ukrainian esports titan Natus Vincere, commonly known as NAVI, has made a significant contribution to their homeland’s defense efforts. The esports organization, in partnership with the MK Foundation, has allocated its entire $125,000 prize from the CS2 Major victory to fund unmanned robotic complexes in Ukraine.

This move is a part of NAVI’s continued commitment to supporting Ukraine, especially in light of the ongoing conflict that has been ravaging the country since February 2022.

NAVI’s recent donation is not an isolated event. The esports organization has been actively involved in various initiatives to aid Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Their efforts include organizing fundraisers and charity events, such as the “Born to be Brave” tournament in 2022, which brought together 20 professional players from top esports teams to raise funds for medical needs in Ukraine.

These activities have not only provided financial support but have also rallied the global gaming community to stand with Ukraine during these trying times.

The PlayStation State of Play 2024 has introduced us to a bunch of brand-new games including a 5v5 first-person shooter, Concord developed by Firewalk Studios. With the announcement at the State of Play, we also saw a cinematic trailer and some action-packed gameplay footage. Let’s take a look at the details we noticed from the trailer and gameplay footage.

Let’s talk about the Cinematic Trailer. Sometimes games can disappoint you after showing stunning visuals in the cinematic trailer but failing to display the same graphical prowess in the game. This is not the case with Concord as the visuals in the gameplay footage equally match the pedigree of the visuals in the cinematic trailer.

Concord being a 5v5 first-person shooter, you might think that the game does not have any storyline, however, the name of the game comes the name of the Galaxy in this game. The playable characters are also known as Freegunners who are part of the group called Northstar. Each Freegunner will come with their own set of weapons and abilities. It has been confirmed that the game will have 16 Freegunners divided into 5 classes:

  • Warden
  • Anchor
  • Ranger
  • Breacher
  • Tactician

It is unclear what game modes will be available on the release date but we hope for more details soon as PlayStation has confirmed that they will be “unwrapping more in the coming weeks and months” in their blog post for the game. PlayStation has also confirmed the launch date – August 23, 2024.

Nowhere did we come to know if the game was going to be free-to-play or not. However, the launch trailer does notify that pre-orders will be commencing on June 6, 2024.

What is Bribery in Esports?

In every sport, including esports, maintaining integrity and fair play is essential to preserving the essence of competition. As tournaments like the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 (BGIS 2024) draw significant attention from the gaming community, many issues come to light that might hinder the competitive spirit of the tournament. One such issue is bribery, which we recently witnessed during the BGIS 2024.

Understanding Bribery in Esports through BGIS 2024 Guidelines

Almost every esports tournament operates under a defined set of rules and regulations aimed at upholding fairness among participants. So does BGIS 2024. Section 6.3.8 of the BGIS 2024 Rulebook explicitly addresses the issue of bribery within the tournament setting.

Section 6.3.8 states: “Bribery: No Team Member may offer any gift or cash or other reward to a player, coach, manager, other Team Member, Tournament Official, the Tournament Organizer, KRAFTON, or any other person connected with or employed by another Team in order to influence the outcome of a Tournament Game.”

This clause unequivocally prohibits any form of inducement or incentive aimed at influencing the outcome of a tournament game. It encompasses a wide range of actions, including offering gifts, cash, or other rewards to players, coaches, managers, officials, or any individual associated with another team.

Thankfully, Krafton India Esports was swift to notice the bribery during BGIS 2024. The tournament organizers decided to ban and disqualify 47 Esports, the team violating Section 6.3.8 of the BGIS 2024 rulebook, with all their results from the tournament nullified.

Bribery in esports represents a serious breach of sportsmanship and fair play, as it undermines the integrity of competitions and casts doubt on the legitimacy of results. Attempts to manipulate outcomes through illicit means not only compromise the competitive integrity of the tournament but also undermine the credibility of the entire esports ecosystem.

After the successful ventures through popular games Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, miHoYo is all set to debut their highly anticipated game Zenless Zone Zero. After witnessing multiple test sessions, the makers of the game are confident and have marked a date in July for release.

Zenless Zone Zero is set to release on July 4th, 2024 for Android, iOS, and PC via Epic Games and PlayStation. Here is a list of release times across different server regions:

Widescreen Ratio

The screen ratio on the PlayStation platform is limited to a maximum of 16:9. However, PlayStation Studios have decided to reconsider this limitation for the PC release. God of War Ragnarök PC will have native support for 21:9 ultra-widescreen and 32:9 super ultra-widescreen.

Higher Frame Rates with 4K

God of War Ragnarök could not exceed 60fps at any resolution on the PlayStation platform due to PlayStation’s restriction of 60fps. With the PC release, this restriction has been removed making it possible for the game to go well over 60fps even with 4K resolution on capable PCs.

God of War Ragnarök was released on November 9th, 2022 for the PlayStation platform and received its one and only DLC on December 12th, 2023. With the God of War Ragnarök PC release PlayStation Studios have decided to include this DLC with the game on Day 1.
