Let us discuss further about the changes.

The first change under General section is targeted at the game mechanic which was initially added to allow losing teams to make comebacks. Previously, even when there wasn’t a huge difference between the networth of the winning and losing teams, the players from the losing team would still gain a substantial amount of gold just by killing an enemy from the other side, this made the game imbalanced and made it hard for the winning team to capitalize on their hard earned lead. Now, with this mechanic being removed for lower networth differences (1k or less), we can expect a bit more balance in the game and lesser rubber banding between the winning and the losing team.

Moving on, under the Heroes section there have been a lot of nerfs coming out. We are just going to discuss the nerfs which we think are major for the dominant heroes from the previous patch (7.23f). The first nerf we are going to discuss is obviously for Doom, this offlane hero was so strong in the earlier patch that he would just sit in the offlane with supposed infinite regeneration coming out from his Devour and Scorched Earth skills and simply make your life hard. Scorched Earth seemed to be the primary reason why Doom was such a dominant hero in the offlane, the ability does damage over seconds for a period of 16 seconds along with added health regeneration and movement speed bonus. The high amount of damage it did even at level 1 for a very low manacost made it the go to ability to start Doom offlane with. The nerf hits his Scorched Earth ability effectively reducing its Damage Per Second (DPS) and increasing its manacost, additionally Doom’s starting strength has also been slightly reduced.

Second in line is Drow Ranger, her Multishot ability allowed her to clear creep waves and jungle camps with ease, thus enabling her to get her items and levels super fast and snowball, 7.23f increases the manacost for this skill and reduces the slow effect duration on enemies when the skill is used. Icefrog did well to land the nerf hammer on our third hero of discussion, it is none other than the ever annoying Puck. Puck has been destroying midlanes in pubs thanks to how insanely buffed the dragon faerie is. In 7.23e, she was being played primarily as an attack damage carry with items like an early Desolator and Maelstrom in most games, thanks to the Phase Shift Attacks talent being given out as early as Level 10. It was already very hard to trade with Puck thanks to her fairly high base damage in midlane but she scaled to even higher damage output with the +90 damage talent at level 15. Already being a very slippery hero to catch owing to all her escape spells and their low cooldowns, the added damage made her a monster to face in the midlane. Puck loses some of her starting damage in this patch, making it easier to trade with her. Her Phase Shift Attack talent has been moved to level 15 while the +90 damage talent has been changed to +30 damage and moved down to level 10. This will definitely reduce the overall physical damage output of the hero throughout the game. The other thing to note is, earlier Puck’s Waning Rift allowed her to move on cast even when rooted, this has been looked to and fixed in this patch.

The fourth hero we are going to discuss is Treant Protector. This support seemed to be the most fearsome hero to trade against on the sidelanes. The high movement speed slow from his Leech Seed along with his insanely high base damage which is one of the highest in the game allowed him to constantly trade with sidelaners and harass them out of the lane or even solo kill them at times. The movement speed reduction from Leech Seed has been reworked and reduced, on top of that, the strength gain of Treant Protector has also been nerfed in this patch. Additionally, the manacost for his ultimate ability has also been increased just to make Treant players a bit more conservative about their mana during fights.

The final hero in our list is green cancer, Viper. This hero can dominate almost any lane and would most likely win his lane even when first picked. In the previous patch, players using Viper in pubs showcased a trend of maxing out his Poison Attack and constantly spamming it in lanes to win them. It is very hard for any given hero to efficiently trade with Viper when he is constantly stacking Poison Attack on them, this makes him one of the hardest heroes to lane and trade against. 7.23f increases the mana cost for Viper’s Poison Attack spell and makes it a bit harder for him to spam the spell constantly due to his fairly low starting mana pool.

ESL blasted for lack of quality around IEM Katowice 2020 Qualifiers

Fans and caster went vocal regarding ESL’s failure to provide adequate coverage for IEM Katowice Closed Qualifier matches.

The North American closed qualifiers are being held for IEM Katowice 2020 but the community is upset about the lack of coverage. Quite a few freshly minted teams are taking part in the qualifiers, thereby making fans are excited to see how they fair. ESL have allocated broadcasting slots to a couple of matches but certain well known teams missed out on it.

Spunj fired shots at ESL where he expressed his dislike for their broadcasting methods. He is upset for the fact that ESL are not giving up IPs for 3rd party caster who are willing to showcase the match on their channels, for their desire to hold control of the matches.

Let alone casters, fans are demanding for GOTV connection for the matches so that they can see it for themselves and not rely on neither ESL or other casters to broadcast. The hunger of the audience surpassed ESL’s offerings and they tried resorting to other well know broadcasters which did not turn out as they hoped it would. gAuLeS for one did not have access to the matches and even an independent caster of his stature had to stream HLTV logs which accumulated 30K concurrent viewers.

Streamers are not being provided with IPs and necessary permissions to broadcast cast the matches as a result of which fans were complaining of ESL’s stream chat which led to moderators blocking them. gAuLeS have agreed to use the overlays and sponsorships ESL desires, which more caster are likely to agree to as well leaving it is upto ESL to decide where they want to steer this coverage debacle to.

mousesports trolls North over rebranding

North deleted all of their social media accounts yesterday which as it seems was for rebranding purposes.

Every official trace of the Danish organization was removed from the Internet which led to many believing that the organization has been dissolved. A few hours later it was revealed that North took such action intentionally since they wanted to restructure their online presence, most of which so far has been cosmetic changes such as introducing a new logo to represent them.

mousesports saw this as an opportunity too firmly aim a troll towards this rebranding. Their tweet read ‘ How to delete all tweets for a rebrand? (asking for a friend) ‘, although they didn’t mention North, it was clear as a crisp spring morning that the Danes were at their crosshairs.

Truth be told, such measures of rebranding are hardly seen in Esports where the entire online presence of an organization including YouTube videos, tweets and all of the content has been removed. North have us expecting news in the coming weeks with their Tweet where they explained the reasons behind this.

CSGO: North extend Kjaerbye contract

Markus ‘Kjaerbye’ Kjรฆrbye has signed a new contract with North after rumours about the organization backing off esports surfaced.

The 21-year-old Major winning MVP committed to North 2 years ago, since then he had his own ups and downs during his tenure with the Danish organization. Kjaerbye shocked the world when he left Astralis for North. North removed their official social media accounts which led to us doubting that the organization has disbanded and Kjaerbye’s Tweet added fuel to the fire.

North suddenly surprised everyone with a new look and promised surprises in the coming weeks. Upon revival of their social media accounts, Kjaerbye’s contract renewal was announced.

North stand with their old line-up ahead of 2020 season:

  •  Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjรฆrbye
  •  Nicklas “gade” Gade
  •  Jakob “JUGi” Hansen
  •  Philip “aizy” Aistrup
  •  Renรฉ “cajunb” Borg
  • Torbjรธrn “mithR” Nyborg (coach)

seized to form new CSGO roster with scoobyxie

According to a report by ESTNN, seized is set to form a new roster with orgless players from the CIS region.

seized is quite a recognized player in the professional scene. He has fallen off his prime after parting ways with Natus Vincere with whom he took home ESL One New York, IEM San Jose besides SLTV StarSeries IX Finals where he was crowned the MVP.

Reports claim that roster around him will feature the likes of jR, shalfey, and kalinka who are without an organization at the moment. scoobyxie is the only exception as he is under a contract with HellRaisers.

This rumoured team will feature:

  • Denis “seized” Kostin
  • Dmytro “jR” Chervak
  • Alexandr “shalfey” Marenov
  • Alexander “scoobyxie” Marynych
  • Nikolaj “kalinka” Rysakov

The intention of seized is quite clear with this roster, he misses his prime and wants to get back to the big leagues. seized, jR, scooby and kalinka are experienced players while shalfey is 19 and most inexperienced.

CSGO org North is off the radar with no clues

Danish Organization North Esports has blacked itself out from the Internet after taking down all of its content from the social media.

Soon after this event, players across the globe had a plethora of concerns about the organization and its actions when they saw the team resetting its Twitter’s pro๏ฌle picture, erasing its content off from their Youtube and Facebook pages successively hence fueling up the curiosity for the reasons behind the Danes’ disappearance.

As we do believe, either of the reasons could be the Organization Rebranding itself or choosing a probable Plan B to completely dissolve themselves only to get merged into a different organization. As of now, we are not sure about any of the possible outcomes stated above. But we may soon ๏ฌnd out about the aftermath of the same and what caused it.

Until yet North has been a prestigious organization with some successful and recognized players under its belt with the likes of Markusย “Kjaerbye”ย Kjรฆrbye, Renรฉ “cajunB” Borg and Philip “aizy” Aistrup who recently steered North to the Dreamhack Open Sevilla Title by taking down Cr4zy led by Lukaย “emi”ย Vukoviฤ‡ and his men.

felps joins TeamOne on loan

Joรฃo “felps” Vasconcellos has been signed by the Brazilian side TeamOne on loan from MIBR, the later confirmed today on their Twitter.

After parting ways with Victor “bld” Rocha and Bruno “bit” Lima, felps is all set to fill in the shoes while we believe dav1ddd from Aggressive joining the forces too but on trial as there is no such comment made by the Brazilian Organization yet regarding the Chilean professional. dav1dddd will feature in when his side will compete at the Brazilian open qualifier for WESG Latin America, scheduled for January 10-11.

With felps looking forward to have his guns blazing, this could be a fresh start for the 23year old professional as he had a wobbly 2019 which saw him being loaned out to Luminosity just after a five-month stint with the Brazilian spearheads MIBR. But things couldnโ€™t get better for him as Luminosity decided to let go their CS:GO roster with the fates of its players who would look towards an unforeseeable future. Playing under the ex-Luminosity banner, they got knocked out in the early stages of the ECS Season 8 North America which saw felps leaving the team thus turning back to MIBR which would decide his fate and end the youngsterโ€™s misery.

TeamOneโ€™s starting five now looks like:

  • Pedro “Maluk3” Campos
  • Alencar “trk” Rossato
  • Bruno “b4rtiN” Cรขmara
  • Joรฃo “felps” Vasconcellos (loan)
  • David “dav1dddd” Tapia Maldonado (trial)
  • Olavo “chucky” Napoleรฃo (coach)

Hatz to replace DickStacy – Report

According to a report by HTT News, Jordan ‘Hatz’ Bajic will play in Renegades colours with DickStacy being moved away from the active roster, to the bench.

The homepage of ESEA MDL listed Hatz with Renegades lineup and also labelled him as ‘paid’ while DickStacy remains unpaid. This report has more than just some truth to it, as ORDER announced his departure a few hours earlier.

Photo Via ESEA MDL

DickStacy leaving the former GrayHound roster is quite surprising as he was a crucial part who took this roster to new heights. Although he might fall short while comparing their success to that of 100 Thieves but he is arguably one of the best players in the Australian circuit.

Renegades Roster according to the reports:

  • Chris โ€œdexterโ€ Nong
  • Liam โ€œmaltaโ€ Schembri
  • Simon โ€œSicoโ€ Williams
  • Joshua โ€œINSโ€ Potter
  • Jordan โ€œHatzโ€ Bajic

The next competitive matches for the roster will be in ESEA MDL and IEM Katowice 2020 Closed Oceania Qualifiers which will take place in the 3rd week of January 2020, where presumably Hatz will be fielded.
