Carryminati to make an appearance on Bigg Boss 14?

0

Carryminati is one of the most famous YouTuber and streamer from India and his content varies from comedy to gaming genre. There are rumours about Carryminati taking part in this year’s season of reality show Bigg Boss.

Carryminati created a roasting segment on last year’s Bigg Boss season and this time, reports indicate that Carryminati is set to join the very show he was seen making fun of. The reports suggest that Carry has already landed in Mumbai with three other YouTubers that will participate alongside him.

According to RealityPost, a source stated that “Carryminati aka Ajey Nagar is one of the first celebrities approached for Bigg Boss 14. Makers were adamant to sign him for the show, but even after repeated attempts, He has refused to be a part of the show.”

The same report suggests that Carryminati will be seen starring in the reality show on 3rd October and has flown down to Mumbai for getting hotel-quarantined before entering the set. Carryminati streamed on his second channel named CarryIsLive where his facecam was turned off on 10th September and apparently this was considered as a substantial evidence by another report.

The debatable appearance of Carryminati on this reality show is not confirmed yet and the entry will directly be confirmed on the Opening show of Big Boss 14.

Dream11 in talks to acquire esports tech. startup SoStronk

0

After making its mark on the world of fantasy sports, Dream Sports is looking to expand itself into the esports scene. According to a recent MoneyControl report, the parent firm of Dream11 is planning to acquire Bengaluru-based startup SoStronk.

SoStronk is an esports platform built and focused around Valve’s competitive shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, similar to the likes of FACEIT and ESEA. SoStronk is a subscription-based service with a separate ranking system and anti-cheat than Valve and has become increasingly popular in South and Southeast Asian regions over the years.

Starting in 2013, SoStronk has made a name for itself by hosting a plethora of Counter-Strike tournaments. The platform has been used by other organisations and Leagues to host major tournaments across the Asian region, both online and offline.

Alongside SoStronk, Dream Sports is also reportedly planning to acquire at least 4-5 other startups from gaming and tech with expected budgets of $10-15 million each. The names of the other startups however, couldn’t be known.

Dream11, who has recently made it to the headlines for bagging sponsorship rights to IPL (Indian Premier League), has raised a whopping $225 million in funding from Tiger Global Management, TPG, ChrysCapital and Footpath Ventures, who have gained a 10% stake in Dream Sports.

The Indian company is renowned as a fantasy sports platform and allows users to play fantasy games like Cricket, Football and Basketball.

League of Legends Worlds 2020 Primer Begins Sept. 25th in China

0

The 2020 League of Legends World Championship begins September 25th in Shanghai, China. This year marks the tenth version of the biggest event in esports. Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s Worlds.

What is the World Championship?

The League of Legends World Championship (also known as Worlds) is a yearly international tournament that brings together the top teams from each regional league in a battle to hoist the Summoner’s Cup and earn the title of World Champion. The event moves between host regions each year; this year, teams will compete in the grand city of Shanghai in China.

When is Worlds happening?

Worlds begins with the Play-In Stage on September 25th and concludes with Finals on October 31st. Individual stage dates are listed below.

What’s the format?

Worlds is composed of three stages: the Play-In Stage, the Group Stage, and the Knockout Stage (Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals). A detailed breakdown of each stage is below.

Where will Worlds take place?

Play-Ins through Semifinals will be held in the Shanghai Media Tech Studio, and Finals will be held in the never-before-used Pudong Football Stadium.

Which teams are competing?

A region’s seeds are based on past international performance. Consistently strong regions send some or all of their seeds straight to the Group Stage, whereas other regions receive fewer seeds and/or start in the Play-In Stage.

This year, the teams competing from each of the different regions are:

CHINA – LPL

EUROPE – LEC

KOREA – LCK

NORTH AMERICA – LCS

SOUTHEAST ASIA – PCS

BRAZIL – CBLOL

COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES – LCL

JAPAN – LJL

LATIN AMERICA – LLA

OCEANIA – OPL

TURKEY – TCL

What’s changed for 2020?

Invitations

This year marks the debut of a new region, PCS, which encompasses players and teams from Southeast Asia. For the 2020 World Championship, the PCS will have two seeds.

We are also, for the first time, inviting the fourth seeds from China (LPL) and Europe (LEC) as a reward for these regions finishing at the top of the global power rankings. These rankings look back at the last two years at international tournaments such as the 2019 World Championship. Both of these teams will begin their tournaments in the Play-In Stage.

Prize Pool

We will be making some changes to how we allocate the prize pool for Worlds this year. One of the most exciting prizes in esports is having your accomplishment enshrined in game with the World Champion Skins, themed in consultation with the members of the winning team. The players and team also receive 25% of the sales of these skins.

Over the past few years, these skins have performed better and better, leading to a much larger gap in prizing between first and second place. To create a more equitable structure, the first-place prize will be reduced and allocated to the other finishers to better distribute the Worlds prize pool to the remaining competitors, who do not benefit from the sale of the Worlds skins. We’ve slightly modified the intended new structure to account for the VCS teams who are unable to attend; we will be paying out more than 100% of the prize pool this year.

The breakdown of the new guaranteed prize is below:

Worlds Stages: Breakdown

Play-In Stage: Sept 25-30

The 10 Play-In teams will be split into 2 groups of 5 teams each.

Each of these groups will play a single round-robin cycle, with the first-place teams both advancing to the Group Stage, and the last-place teams being eliminated.

The third- and fourth-place teams in each group will play a best-of-five series, with the loser being eliminated and the winner advancing to a best-of-five series against the second-place team from the other group. The winners of those matches also will qualify for the Group Stage.

These matches will determine the four Play-In teams that move on to the Group Stage.

Check out the Worlds Format Explainer for a detailed look at this years’ Worlds format!

Group Stage: Oct 3-6; Oct 8-11

16 teams – 12 that qualified for the Group Stage directly, and 4 from the Play-In Stage – are drawn into 4 groups. Each group plays a double round-robin, best-of-one series. The two highest-ranked teams from each group will move on to the final leg of the tournament, the Knockout Stage.

Interested in how groups are selected for the Play-In and Group Stages? Tune in for the Draw Show on September 15 at 5:00 AM PDT, 8:00 PM CST

Knockout Stage: Oct 15-18 (Quarterfinals); Oct 24-25 (Semifinals); Oct 31 (Finals)

Eight teams move on to the Knockout Stage, which encompasses Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals. For this stage, the tournament transitions to a single-elimination bracket with all matches played in a best-of-five format. Matchups are decided by an on-stage draw before each day of play begins.

The team that comes out on top will become the 2020 World Champions.

How do I watch?

Tencent moving base out of China after India, U.S. sanctions

0

Tencent Holdings Ltd. has picked up Singapore as their “beachhead for Asia” after facing setbacks in U.S. and India. The Chinese conglomerate will set up their regional hub in Singapore following the geo-political tensions.

The report states that the tech giant had been considering setting up its regional hub in the city-state, as well as shifting some of its business operations out of China.

A source told Bloomberg that “Management at China’s largest social media and gaming company had been discussing Singapore as a potential regional hub and geopolitical tensions accelerated its plans, according to people familiar with the matter. Tencent has been considering the shift of some business operations — including international game publishing.”

Tencent was expanding globally to a large extent after making a mark in gaming industry. By strategically partnering with various companies, they made an impact in mobile gaming by introducing famous titles like Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Mobile. The geo-political tensions between China and other nations halted the rising impression of Tencent footprint across the world.

Tencent’s growth was hindered by two main restrictions imposed by India and U.S. India banned various chinese apps with three banwaves and the list included many Tencent developed apps including games like PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valour while President Trump’s executive orders prohibits unspecified transactions with WeChat and its operator Tencent in USA.

The company’s expansion to Singapore creates many job opportunities for bussiness including cross-border commerce, cloud computing and esports. Tencent has said that the new office will “support our growing bussiness in SouthEast Asia and beyond.”

0

Aston Martin and Curv have revealed the first looks on their new creation – the AMR-C01, a racing sim which is set to revolutionise the world of virtual racing.

Expect to see the best of both design and performance, as the AMR-C01 has been designed by Aston Martin and engineered by Curv, a company led by Aston Martin works driver and simulator specialist, Darren Turner. The racing sim offers a full carbon fibre body and the seating position mirrors are similar to that of the Valkyrie.

A press release states that the AMR-C01 utilises the latest technology to provide a fully immersive and luxurious driving experience for users.

“This was a challenge for the design team as, although the simulator isn’t a car, it is inspired by our racing cars,” Marek ReichmanIt, Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer, said in a statement. “It needed to exude the same elegance, boasting the same dynamic lines and balance of proportions as any Aston Martin with a racing lineage. I can picture the AMR-C01 in the most beautiful of residences as a sculptural work of art in its own right.”

In terms of the virtual racing experience, the makers promise that the AMR-C01 will be as close to real life racing as it gets.

“We’ve created a home simulator with incredible immersion that offers users the opportunity to have a great time racing in the virtual world, from the comfort of their own home,” Darren Turner, a simulator specialist with over 20 years’ experience in Formula 1 simulation and the leader of Curv, said. “Our goal was to create a simulator that provided as much enjoyment in virtual reality as real racing does.”

The AMR-C01 will be priced at $74,000 and only 150 examples will be available for purchase. Bookings are currently open, and deliveries are scheduled to start in Q4 2020.

Bollywood Star Tiger Shroff has no official Free Fire ID

0

Free Fire is a very massive thing around the world and has a huge player base in India. While it’s not a surprise that many famous Indian celebrities like Dj Alok and Hritik Roshan has made a debut in this game, there are rumours spreading about Tiger Shroff and his Free Fire account. Videos are trending with hundreds and thousands of views claiming to give proof about the actor’s game profile but all of them are apparently misleading.

Free Fire has more than 500 million downloads on Google Play Store and has a large chunk of that number present in India. Free Fire has already collaborated with many famous personalities in India and has two exclusive Indian characters named Dj Alok and Jai in the game. Jai is a debut of Hritik Roshan in Free Fire as a SWAT Agent with fast reload ability.

Star Appearance during Free Fire India Today 2019

Tiger Shroff and Hritik Roshan made an appearance during finals of Free Fire India Today 2019. Since then, bollywood stars and their fabled accounts in this game are trending with people trying to find out more about their favourite actors’ game profiles. This gave rise to a huge pool of videos claiming to give information about such stars along with their ID, gameplay and much more.

Bollywood stars have a huge fan following across India and this game is not much lacking behind. Combining these both industries together is a very smart move by Free Fire as it brings in new viewership, players and traction, in general, to this game.

Platforms like YouTube are filled with videos big stars like Tiger Shroff playing this game which are apparently misleading and more inclined towards being a clickbait. The star himself has never mentioned about this game and the videos are mostly fake.

How to find your best sensitivity in Call of Duty: Mobile

Call of Duty:Mobile is a very fast-paced game and to excel in such a game, the sensitivity settings matter a lot. While some players prefer to use the basic set of sensitivities, it is not always recommended to do so. Everybody has their own set of preferences according to which these settings should be modified. Here is a simple guide on how you can find your own sensitivity and a set of standard sensitivities is also provided for you to play around.

Basic settings:

Before you start to tweak your sensitivities, Here a very important basic setting which is recommended to have a more enhanced experience in-game and to increase your precision.

COD: Mobile Sensitivity

First one is Rotation Mode and it is highly recommended to keep this setting on “Fixed Speed” and not go for other two options. Distance acceleration and Speed acceleration vary your sensitivity as per the speed of your fingers and move the crosshair very quickly if you just swipe fast enough. This makes it hard for the muscle memory to keep the track of your normal sensitivities and ultimately, it affects your gameplay. By keeping fixed rotation, no matter how much faster you swipe, the crosshair will move only by a distance proportional to your sensitivity.

How to find your own sensitivity:

Jump into practice mode or AI Mode where there will be no disturbance and take a big open spot in the map. Swipe your thumb from middle part of your screen to the right edge of your phone. Cover the maximum possible distance and check if your crosshair has moved by 180 degrees or not.

A 180 degrees turn is the standard move that everyone should be able to do to counter the enemies sneaking onto you from behind. If you are covering a smaller angle than 180 degrees, try to increase your standard sensitivity and repeat the process and if you are covering a more wider angle, decrease the sensitivity.

Gyroscope sensitivity:

Gyroscope enables players to have a greater control on their recoil control as well as aim tracking but is a tricky part for COD: Mobile. If you are a PUBG Mobile player, do not try to set your gyroscope sensitivity to the maximum as the game becomes very shaky at higher sensitivity. Start with a sensitivity slightly larger than your camera settings as a basic sensitivity and move on to try different variations to find your perfect fit.

Tips on ADS sensitivity:

If you are comfortable with your current ADS sensitivity, then its not recommended to tweak around but if you want to experiment to be better, you can try changing the sensitivities by trying out different scenarios that can mostly occur in real matches. Things like controlling recoil, controlling the spray pattern while shooting and firing accurately on set targets comes with practice but finding specific sensitivity for every scope makes the process easier and may consume less time.

Trying out different scenarios points towards practice drills like vertical recoil control, practicing slide-jump mechanics and aim placement and transfer on multiple targets. If you want to practice this, jump into AI mode and practice each and everything mentioned above individually and into combinations as well. This may be very easy for veteran players but it has long term benefits to get accustomed to your layout and smoothly play in COD: Mobile.

Ideal COD: Mobile Sensitivity Sets:

Multiplayer Mode:

Camera sensitivities:

  • Standard sensitivity: 60
  • ADS sensitivity: 88
  • Tactic scope sensitivity: 125
  • Sniper scope sensitivity: 80

Firing/ADS Sensitivities:

  • Standard sensitivity: 70
  • ADS sensitivity: 88
  • Tactic scope sensitivity: 120
  • Sniper scope sensitivity: 80

Battle Royale Mode:

Camera Sensitivities:

  • Third-person sensitivity: 80
  • FPP view turning sensitivity: 65
  • Optics: 90
  • Tactic scope sensitivity: 80
  • 3x tactical scope: 60
  • 4x tactical scope: 50
  • Sniper scope sensitivity: 45

Firing/ADS Sensitivities:

  • Third-person sensitivity: 80
  • FPP view turning sensitivity: 65
  • Optics: 90
  • Tactic scope sensitivity: 80
  • 3x tactical scope: 60
  • 4x tactical scope: 50
  • Sniper scope sensitivity: 45

Note: These sensitivities may or may not match your preferences and are provided as a baseline to start from. Try out the sets and tweak it to find your own custom set.
