PEL 2021 Season 2 finals: Match recap, Overall Standings, and more

The second day of the PEL 2021 Season 2 finals concluded today. DKG is leading the table with 47 kills and 121 total points at the end of the second day, followed by Showtime with 48 kills and 104 total points. Six Two Eight finished at the third spot with 96 points.

Peacekeeper Elite League is the official Chinese league of the “Peacekeeper Elite” a Chinese rebranded version of the famous mobile game “PUBG Mobile“. The top 15 teams qualified for the finals through the five weeks long PEL 2021 Season 2 regular season. Nova Esports emerged as the winners of the PEL Season 2 Regular Season. PEL s2 finals will be a four-day event where the teams will competing for a ¥15,000,000 CNY prize pool.

PEL 2021 Season 2 finals Match Summary

The first match of the day was won by Team Weibo with 34 points, which helped them to climb up on the leaderboard. DKG, Six Two Eight, and The Chosen managed a decent performance and got 12 points each in the first match.

The fan favourite team, 4 AM got the chicken dinner in the second match of the day with 19 points. The chicken dinner helped them to boost their performance but didn’t create much difference in the overall leaderboards.

Team Weibo once again took the second chicken dinner of the day with 17 points. Although SMG took 20 points due to its high kills game. Six Two Eight was the 5th match winners with 22 points. The last match of the day was won by SMG with 24 points.

Indian Gaming Community highly anticipated the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India on 10th June 2021. But that was a false alarm for every Battlegrounds Mobile India game enthusiast. But no one has lost hope and is back again with the new expected release date. The community gets hints from various sources, the major ones are Krafton itself and ex PUBG Mobile Influencers.

Krafton is leaving no stone unturned to keep the excitement in the minds of Battlegrounds Mobile India lovers. Each day, the officials upload different posts on their social media accounts. Yesterday, Krafton did the same thing by uploading another post with a major hint. Yes, everyone is talking about that one particular hint that could unwrap the release date of the game.

The officials have posted an image of a pan wrapped in a gift wrapper among some tools. The tool is the key to the most awaited release date. This is the information being circulated around the community. We can see a Buggy, paper cutter, tape, and a graph in the image. The description of the image read as ‘We know you’ve been waiting for us for a long time. We’re super excited for the biggest drop of the year!’

Some fans have decoded the image and managed to calculate the expected release date. So what is the hint? The graph on the image has some numbers printing on it. Adding these numbers comes up with a total sum of 18. Yes, heard it right, your most favorite battle royale game could be releasing on 18th June.

Influencers hinting the dates

Some famous influencers are also hinted the expected release of the game. Though they are not allowed to revel the excate date, but can always hint the date for their lovely fans.

Abhijeet ‘Ghatak’ Andhare, the well known esports athlete for TSM announced the expected release date of the game. He asked his fans to do some tasks to earn that hint. He wrote “Everyone is asking me the launch date of the BGMI, I am not going to reveal the date but yea if this tweet get 20k likes, I will give you a solid hint of BGMI launch date”. It just took few minutes by the fans to reach that goal and Ghatak gave the hint. He wrote ” BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA Third week of June”.

So 18th June and the third week of June compliments each other strongly. If we go with this date, only 7 days are left for the game release. I am ready to jump into the battlefield, Are you?

Penta Esports Valorant India Invitational: All You Need to Know

Indian Valorant fans, Rejoice! Popular esports organization Penta Esports has announced its first esports event alongside game streaming and esports platform Loco.

The Penta Esports Valorant Invitational’ will feature 8 of the best Valorant teams in India competing for a prize pool of a whopping 3,00,000 INR.

The team in the first place will be rewarded Rs. 1,50,000 while the Second team will get Rs. 1,00,000. The third and fourth place teams will be rewarded Rs. 25,000 each.

CSGO: ESIC finds “substantial evidence of betting fraud” in Akuma match-fixing scandal

During the EPIC League CIS 2021 semi-final between Virtus.pro and Akuma, several allegations related to match-fixing and betting fraud were raised against the latter. Fifteen teams from the region signed an open letter to Valve to thoroughly probe the incident.

EPIC League CIS 2021 is a Regional Major Rankings (RMR) event for the PGL Stockholm 2021 major which will be held later this year provided the pandemic is under control. If the situation permits, this will be the third CSGO major hosted by PGL. The allegations of match-fixing and betting fraud, if proved during a Valve major affiliated event are awful, to say the least.

Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) is an esports watchdog overlooking the affairs related to cheating, fixing, integrity, etc. During the preliminary investigation into the semi-final match-up between Virtus.pro and Akuma dated May 30, 2021, ESIC has found “substantial evidence indicating the existence of potential betting fraud”.

The statement read,

ESIC has received evidence via its global Suspicious Betting Alert Network (SBAN) that the CEO of Project X, the team from which the Akuma roster emerged, Oleksandr Shyshko, has an active CSGO betting account and has placed numerous bets on highly suspicious Project X matches (when most of the current Akuma roster were playing as Project X) and, crucially, made accurate pre-match bets on the outcome of the Virtus Pro v Akuma match in the CIS RMR, the conduct of which match is subject to the current public cheating allegations against Akuma.

The statement further suggests that based on evidence, “potential match-fixing and/or betting fraud behavior was perpetrated” in the match.

“While ESIC has not undertaken a full investigation into the detail, extent, and validity of any particular instances of match-fixing behavior and the perpetrators of such behavior – information on hand would indicate that this is a matter worth investigating further; certainly, if ESIC did have jurisdiction, we would have opened a full investigation based on what we already know”, said Ian Smith, ESIC commissioner. He further added, “ESIC has therefore referred the evidence available to us to Valve for further consideration.”

ESIC has accredited tournament organizer members to not allow the team to participate in any of the events till a definite outcome is reached. It has also requested people with any information regarding the scandal to contact the commission to move forward with the investigation.

Hiding faces that eventually leads to a big reveal is a long-standing trend in the entertainment business, and given its side benefits, there aren’t many reasons not to do it. Dream for one has matured into a superstar and fans are waiting for the much-anticipated face reveal. Having teased it on multiple occasions, Dream claimed to be waiting for the ideal time to maximize the benefits of face reveal.

A Twitter user who goes by the handle @oomfed1 shared a photo of a person who allegedly is Dream which is far from the truth. The photo came with allegations that Dream isn’t who he pretends to be, rather he uses his brother as a body double when making public appearances. These claims were enough to convince his stans that he is a catfisher.

Dream hit back at those claims with a AI generated photos of a millennial Caucasian pretending to be him. “Decided to face reveal… please be nice,”  read the Tweet.

Dream has teased a face reveal and is looking for the perfect opportunity to do so. Even though his questionable relationship with fans may take some time to fix but sooner or later the day will come when the he reveals his identity and fans need to hold their horses until then.

PMPL Arabia 2021 Finals: Match Recap, Overall Standings, Results

The first day of the long-awaited PMPL Arabia 2021 finals finished with Rico Infinity Team securing the number 1 spot in the leaderboard.

The team got a total of 91 points including the 44 kill points along with one chicken dinner in the second match. Rico Infinity Team, NASR Esports, Fate Esports, Yalla Esports, RAAD Esports, and Real Tiger9 got a single chicken dinner throughout the day. NASR Esports finished at the second position with 75 points, followed by Hotline Esports with 59 points.  

PMPL Arabia 2021 Season 1 Finals Match Summary

MATCH 1

The first match was played between the top 16 teams on the Erangel map. SUDOR Esports were the first team to get eliminated while fighting against The Snipers. Yalla Esports took the first chicken dinner of the data with 23 points followed by Galaxy Racer with 23 points. GXR took the highest kills in the match were the last team with Yalla Esports in the final circle but lost in a 4v2 fight against them. Hotline Esports finished at the third spot in the standings with 20 points.

MATCH 2

The second match was played on the biggest PUBG Mobile map, Miramar. The first circle was formed around the Southern side of the map. Real Tiger9 and Yalla were the first two teams to get wiped out of the game. Rico Infinity Team won the second match with a massive 17 kill points. GUNZ Esport finished at the second spot with 12 kills followed by Sudor Esports with 10 kills.

MATCH 3

RAAD Esports got their first chicken dinner of the day and won the match with a total of 6 kill points. Galaxy Racers finished at number 8th spot with a total of 5 points including the 4 kill points. The Snipers were the first team to be eliminated from match 3, which was played in Sanhok. Rico Infinity team took the second spot in the standings with 21 points followed by GUNZ Esports with 15 points.

MATCH 4

Real Tiger9 came back strong in the fourth match of the day and took the chicken dinner with 24 points. The Snipers were the first team to be eliminated from the game with 2 kills. While Real Tiger9 won the fourth match of the day. Falcons Esports was the highest kill scorers (10) in this game and secured a total of 20 points with the third position. Yalla Esports replicated their match 1 performance and took 20 points.

MATCH 5

Galaxy Racer couldn’t do much in the match and got eliminated at 14th position with 1 kill. Alpha Legends was the first team to get back into the lobby. The match was won by NASR Esports with 27 points followed by iKURD Esports with 17 points. Rico Infinity Team once again conquered the battlefield and came at the third spot thus leading the overall standings after 5 matches.

MATCH 6

The last match of the day was played in Sanhok, which was won by Fate Esports with 8 kills. Hotline Esports finished at the second spot with 8 kills followed by NASR Esports with 2 kills. Galaxy Racer had a decent last match, as they finished at the 5th spot with 12 points. iKURD Esports and Raad Esports were the first two teams to get eliminated with 2 kills each.

Elden Ring releases on January 21, 2022

FromSoftware’s much-anticipated RPG, Elden Ring got its second trailer at the end of Summer Game Fest, two years after its initial announcement in E3 2019. Elden Ring is a collaboration between Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R Martin – who has created the lore and world set to feature in FromSoftware’s most ambitious game to date. 

The three-minute trailer shows off the game’s dark and gritty environment, both magical and melee combat as well as several enemies and bosses, and it doesn’t shy away from showing off the large scale world created by George R.R Martin as the protagonist travels on horseback; which seems to be a possible gameplay element that players can utilize for traversal. 

Elden Ring is set to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One S|X & Series S|X and PC on January 21 2022.

Hackers Reportedly Steal Data From EA

According to a recent report from VICE, hackers have infiltrated the EA servers and have gained access to a wealth of data from the video game giants.

This stolen data includes the source code for FIFA 21 alongside the code for its matchmaking servers. It also includes the source code and tools for the Frostbite engine, which powers popular EA titles like Battlefield.

“You have full capability of exploiting on all EA services,” the hackers said in underground hacking forums.

The hackers claimed that they stole a total of 780 GBs of data, and are already attempting to sell the stolen data on the underground hacking forums.

An EA spokesperson has told motherboard that no player data was accessed and there’s no risk to player privacy whatsoever.

EA spokesperson said,

We are investigating a recent incident of intrusion into our network where a limited amount of game source code and related tools were stolen. No player data was accessed, and we have no reason to believe there is any risk to player privacy. Following the incident, we’ve already made security improvements and do not expect an impact on our games or our business. We are actively working with law enforcement officials and other experts as part of this ongoing criminal investigation.

The top 16 teams from around the world will compete against each other in the Valorant Champions and the winner will be crowned the first VALORANT global Champion.
