How to find Amethyst Geodes in Minecraft?
Amethyst Geodes can spawn inside caverns, mineshafts, and even underwater where they are exposed on the ocean floor. These hollow structures are quite easy to spot and you can identify them thanks to a violet aura inside the geode as Amethysts give off light, you can also hear its unique chimes which is a great way to know if you’ve come across an Amethyst geode.
Sometimes it can get tricky, but there is another way to identify an amethyst geode: if you come across Smooth Basalt, keep digging in where you should find Calcite. Digging further should lead you to a layer full of Amethyst blocks. Although not all geodes are closed off as most of them are already exposed upon being generated.
How to mine Amethyst in Minecraft?
To mine a Budding Amethyst Block, you’ll need a pickaxe that is enhanced with Silk Touch. Using any other tool or using a pickaxe without the aforementioned enhancement will result in the block being destroyed whereas you can use a normal pickaxe to mine an Amethyst Block.
Large crystal formations of Amethyst a.k.a Amethyst Clusters can be mined using any pickaxe which gets you 4 Amethyst Shards, using any other tool will get you 2 shards only.
Amethyst Buds are smaller forms of Amethyst Clusters, these buds go through multiple stages before evolving into clusters. Mining them will get you nothing as they’re still growing.

Amethyst is used for making Spyglass and Tinted Glass, the Spyglass lets you look pretty far into the distance, though your movement speed is restricted while the Tinted Glass is used for decorative purposes to make your buildings fancier than ever.

To craft Spyglass, you’ll need a crafting table, 2 Copper Ingots and 1 Amethyst Shard.
Place the amethyst in the top middle row and the copper ingots in the middle rows directly underneath it.

Encountering an underground geode is a genuinely breathtaking experience, but there’s more to these purple stones than just their good looks. They can also be used to craft a few select but unique items.
Amethysts are actually a series of mineable resources in Minecraft, but all variants spawn in the same location: geodes.
In other words, they contrast quite sharply with the rocks around them. They can spawn in locations where they’re visible from the surface, and can potentially be found in any Overworld biome.
Once you find out geodes, they will start releasing purple light along with twinkling sounds.

Free Fire City Open 2021 City Finals is starting from today where we have our top 12 teams from each city. Free Fire City Open 2021 is a first-ever multi-city tournament featuring 8 cities in India. The cities are as follows – Delhi, Mumbai (Maharashtra), Hyderabad (Telangana), Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Kolkata (West Bengal), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). Top teams from all around the country will be competing to win share from the Rs 60,00,000 prize pool and champions title.
This is the first time Garena has brought a multi-city event. The tournament will be ending with the National finals which are scheduled to held on 15th August 2021. FFCO 2021 is divided into 6 phases starting with the in-game qualifiers, FFC Mode, City Finals, Wildcard Finals, City Play-in, City Play-in Finals, and National Finals. Teams Disqualified from the city finals
Free Fire Esports India took their social media page to announce the disqualification of multiple teams from the event. The teams are disqualified for not following the competitive ruling. The officials wrote,
” Player FF-DUKER from FLICKR FORCE has been found to have participated in FFC on multiple teams.
The teams that FF-DUKER participated in FFC with are: 1. STONE’CRUSHERS (ID: 3004014420) as SC-DUKER 2. FLICKRFORCE (ID: 3004836186) as FF-DUKER
The player has breached Rule 4.1.2, “Each player must only be a registered member of one team. Players found to have played on multiple accounts and multiple teams will be disqualified.”
FF-DUKER and both FLICKRFORCE and STONE’CRUSHERS are disqualified from Free Fire City Open. Their Visakhapatnam Finals slot will be awarded to the next eligible team.”
Two players allowed to use the new accounts
LB-Dev from team Last Breath and GHS-SOHRAB from team Greedy Hunters reported that they lost access to their account and appealed to switch to another account. After in-depth investigation and verifications, Garena has accepted the player’s appeal and will allow LB-Dev and GHS-SOHRAB to play in FFCO as well as FFPL using a new account with the condition that the old accounts are permanently suspended. As both the players will be playing from a new account, they are given an exception from Rule 2.1.2 Rank and Level Requirement.
InnerSloth’s Among Us is now supporting 15 players in a lobby, in a new update that also brings new colors, kill screen menus, and a horn on the Airship map. The new update comes as promised by the developers of the game, which also announced the arrival of the game to Xbox later this year.

OG on Tuesday announced that Anathan “ana” Pham, their star player who drove them to consecutive The International (TI) titles, has resigned from playing cutthroat Dota 2. Reflective of the departure of a player, OG welcomed Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan in a grand fashion, labeling him the ‘king.’
Prior to this announcement retirement, Ana got back to OG’s dynamic list back in April for Season 2 of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). OG, however, failed to fit the bill for the as of late closed WePlay AniMajor and consequently couldn’t secure an invite to Valve’s DotA 2 Major – The International 10 (TI10) in Stockholm, Sweden, later this year.
To change the approach, OG has roped in SumaiL, The International winning crew for the TI10 Western Europe qualifiers. SumaiL originally played for OG last January, coming full circle in a seven-month spell where the organization’s best outcome was another participant’s situation at ESL One Los Angeles 2020.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is very close to its official launch in India and Krafton is slowly revealing new information on some of the new functions added to the game. A brand-new feature will be added to Battlegrounds Mobile India where players can link their mobile number to the account after undergoing an authentication process.
Krafton announced a new battle royale title for the Indian region which will fulfill the gap left by the ban of PUBG Mobile in the country. This game has been hyped a lot since this announcement and as per their recent posts, it is clear that Battlegrounds Mobile India is going to be launched very soon.
The developers have implemented a new set of rules to comply with the local rules and regulations and as their focus is on privacy and data protection, some minors tweaks are made to the game policy. Some new policies are being implemented which will restrict underage users on some grounds. The playtime has been limited and a certain spend limit is added to underage users.
A new feature is spotted on the Support page of Battlegrounds Mobile India. According to it, some rules are set for the authentication process of mobile numbers via the One Time Password (OTP) feature. The rules are as follows:
How many times a user can enter a Verify code: 3 times
Valid time to input a Verify code: 5 minutes
How many times a user can request a Verify code: If the user makes 10+ requests, the player is restricted to 24 hour
Up to 10 accounts can be registered for a phone number
The official website does not include other information but one thing is certain that players can link their phone number with their in-game account. This feature can be implemented only for underage players as well but more clarity is expected from officials when the game is released.
The Battlefield franchise has been one of Electronic Art’s flagship games that were defined by its top-of-the-line graphics and intense storylines along with intriguing gunfights. Dr. Disrespect has been a fan of such games for a long time but he was left disappointed with the graphics despite claims of it being the best to date.
Battlefield is one of the most anticipated games of 2021 and the E3 trailer did nothing but build on the already amazing hype around the game. Unlike its rival Call of Duty, BF doesn’t boast a new edition every year and takes 2-3 years before coming up with a new game. The entire franchise has always struggled to keep up with COD but the gap has reduced over the years with some believing that DICE may have overcome it with its latest iterations.
One of Battlefield’s biggest advocates in Dr. Disrespect was present to witness the first-hand reveal of the trailer for BF 2042 during the E3 broadcast but was left rather disappointed right out of the gate. Despite most of the community getting blown away with the blockbuster reveal of the game, Doc couldn’t help but sound unimpressed with the graphics of the game.
“So this [clip] is on Xbox, I assume? I think what I have to do is when it comes to Battlefield 2042, is lower my expectations and, hopefully, that means they exceed them,” he said. “I’ve gotta be honest though, sorry, I do; I’ve seen better graphics on my old Xbox 360 man!” he added. “This is in 4K, right? Yeah… this is in 4K!”
Doc had to double-check it before he could tell that the video was playing in 4K resolution. The fact that a veteran like himself was left disappointed could point towards a major problem for DICE and EA for the game that treats its visuals as a selling point. The claims of “next-gen graphics” are getting questions as the graphics gameplay trailer and the reveal trailer is far from each other. In DICE’s defense, the footage was recorded in the pre-alpha stages of the game but noticeable improvements are hard to imagine once the game makes its way in October.
According to a recent report by DotEsports, FaZe Clan might be planning to add legendary CSGO player Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson to their active roster once again ahead of the BLAST Premier 2021 Spring Finals.
When asked in an interview, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken told DotEsports that FaZe Clan will be using olofmeister “on a more permanent basis.” Olofmeister has been benched from FaZe since February this year when Twistzz joined the org from Team Liquid.
Following Marcelo “coldzera” David’s decision to step down from the active CSGO roster of FaZe Clan, it seems like Olofmeister might be rejoining the squad soon.
“I think it’s the best situation we could come up with because we have one of the best lurkers in the game still willing to come off the bench,” Twistzz said. “He’s a very smart player and he does his role to perfection. We’re creating new things with him, and if it wasn’t permanent we wouldn’t be creating new things; we really believe in him.”
The 21-year-old also termed Olofmeister as the “smartest player” that he has ever played with.

Verizon $1mn scholarship for historically black colleges & universities
Building on Verizon’s long-standing commitment to DEI and the need to address diversity as the gaming community grows, the Verizon Game Forward Scholarship aims to increase female representation in gaming and STEM. Support for the program is being provided by Cxmmunity, a non-profit dedicated to increasing the participation of minorities within the esports and video game industry.
This fall, the scholarship will be awarded to a team of five female students pursuing degrees in technology at five HBCUs: Delaware State University, Dillard University, Howard University, Morgan State University and Texas Southern University. The 25 scholarship recipients will also be guaranteed internships at top tech and gaming companies, including Verizon and its partners, ensuring an increase in the pipeline of female talent into STEM careers.
The program will also fund the creation of tech centers on the campuses of the partnering HBCUs, which will be accessible to the entire school. The scholarship recipients will also receive access to the Verizon 5G Gaming Center at the 5G Lab in Los Angeles, where the frontiers of network-driven innovation in areas like esports are being pushed and innovative, forward-thinking companies can access the resources to build and scale the future of gaming.
Cxmmunity will help to develop scholarship criteria, select qualified student recipients, and procure and manage all logistics to install the tech centers at the five HBCUs. Verizon Game Forward Scholarship is an expansion of the Future Fund, a $5 million fund launched in 2020 to champion new and emerging female talent across entertainment and technology.
VCT Game Changers Initiative
Taking further action to support female representation in the gaming industry, Verizon expanded its commitment to the Verizon VCT Game Changers initiative, which elevates women and marginalized groups within the esports community, inspiring the next generation of players.
In partnership with Riot Games, a new expansion to the program, launching this fall, will provide training and mentoring to the next generation of female esports casters, providing them with the tools and insight to grow in their careers. Verizon VCT Game Changers will also continue to provide competitive opportunities for women through top-tier tournaments, which will offer prizes to top-performing teams and be supported by the professionally produced broadcasts of Riot Games.
Season 4 – Spurned & Burned of Call of Duty: Mobile introduces new maps, game modes, weapons, and 50 tiers of Season 4 Battle Pass levels, each with their own unique rewards for both Free and Premium Pass tiers.
One such weapon is the Ice Axe – Overpower which is a Rare free tier weapon rewarded through the game’s Battle Royale section. How to Rank up in COD Mobile?
While ranking up isn’t necessarily difficult, it can be time-consuming due to higher ranks having extremely skilled players and squads. Here are some tips that will help you rank up faster:
Team up with friends
This is easier said than done but is extremely beneficial when it comes to ranked modes as the right teammates can be the key to winning matches, queuing up with random teammates can get quite frustrating, especially if the person on the other end can’t communicate with you. Having a full squad of people you’re familiar with can easily net you a couple of wins, which is enough to rank up in no time.
Try the FPP Mode
Generally, people prefer to play in third-person modes, which can give them an advantage when peeking during combat. Playing in FPP can take this advantage away from other players – and from you, which boils it all down to your luck. Just keep practicing until you’re comfortable enough to play in FPP.
Experiment with various weapons and loadouts
In Battle Royale, you don’t really have a choice when it comes to equipping your preferred weapon, which is why it’s best to practice with different guns to make sure you come out on top during firefights. Being exceptionally skilled with multiple weapons can turn a match into your favor, especially if you’re running low on ammo and you equip another weapon either by looting it from an unexplored area or an enemy. Practicing with bots can help a little, by generally practicing against other players will be beneficial in the long run.
Play it safe
Sometimes, rushing into a fight isn’t always the best way to deal with the situation, use your smoke grenades to escape enemies and live to fight another day (or minute). The longer you live, the more XP you gain and since our goal here is to farm as fast as possible, it’s better to avoid fights until you’re forced to defend yourself. This way you’ll not only survive longer, but you’ll also conserve your equipment for the final run.
