Jaclyn Hill responds to “lying” allegations

Popular beauty YouTuber and makeup artist Jaclyn Hill has responded to several community members accusing her of lying about the alleged kidnapping that she revealed earlier.

Hill is one of the most popular YouTuber’s in the beauty community, boasting over 5 million subscribers. She is known for her makeup videos, reviews, and tutorials, much less about lying blatantly. The accusations against her surfaced following a Tweet where she described a terrific incident of two men trying to kidnap her with unclear intentions.

The story didn’t come with ample evidence which made many question its legitimacy. “I seriously had one of the scariest experiences of my life last night,” she Tweeted. “Two guys were literally trying to physically pull me into their car while I was alone outside. Thank you Jesus that I’m okay, but that was so traumatizing!”

Before hitting back at those who accused her of lying, Hill announced that she will drop an IG story where she will be going through the event with her viewers in detail. She is too traumatized to make a story as of now but there will be one in due time.

“The fact people are accusing me of lying about what happened to me this weekend is absolutely disgusting!!!” she wrote. “You are the reason why so many people don’t speak up about things that happen to them.”

She turned down all accusations claiming it to be “absolutely disgusting” and explained how behavior prevents women from speaking “up about things that happen to them”.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s title update 1.27 a.k.a Blood Money brings new missions, clothing items, and challenges to Red Dead Online but PC players are in for a treat as 1.27 has enabled DLSS support for the platform. Deep Learning Super-Sampling or DLSS for short, offers better performance and sharper visual images in supported titles for RTX 2000 and 3000 series graphics cards. The technology uses NVIDIA’s A.I. algorithm to upscale games rendered at a lower resolution to the display’s native resolution. 

How to enable DLSS in Red Dead Redemption 2 PC?

  • DLSS Requires an RTX card in order to be enabled, make sure you own at least an RTX 2060.
  • Open your settings from the main menu by pressing the Z key on your keyboard or LS on your controller.
  • Head to the graphics section in the settings, and scroll down to the NVIDIA DLSS option.
  • You have 4 options to choose from Quality, Balanced, Performance & Ultra Performance.
  • For visual clarity, set it to Quality. If you prefer higher frame rates, set it to Performance or Ultra Performance. You can also change it to Balanced if you’re willing to settle for a modest performance boost with passable image quality.

Gameplay Improvements

  • Nominated Series now allows players to ‘Nominate’ specific modes and maps, and join a Series made up of ones nominated by other players in that Series.
  • Red Dead Online will no longer be supported on Windows 7. Red Dead Online will still run on Windows 7 in the same manner that it does now, and new updates will be downloadable, but any new Windows 7 specific bugs that are discovered will not be addressed.
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online will now offer Nvidia DLSS to all Windows users with NVIDIA graphics cards. Please note that this only applies to graphics cards capable of performing DLSS.

Team Besties Banned From Riot-Sanctioned Events Following ‘Ringing’ Accusations

Members of the VCT Game Changers competitor Team Besties have received an 18-month long ban from any Riot-sanctioned events for violating Riot’s ToS during an official game. 

The suspension follows an investigation that revealed Team Besties using unregistered players during VALORANT Game Changers to gain an unfair competitive advantage. The ban was confirmed in a recent competitive ruling released by Riot on 12th July.

According to the ruling, Team Besties has been suspended for 12 months for the ‘ringing’ accusations, and another 6 months for not cooperating with the investigation. 

The (now banned) players that were initially registered under Team Besties for the NA VCT Game Changers Qualifiers include:

  • Jenna “koi” Tang,
  • Katie “kateuuu” Tran,
  • Mia “kei” Leong,
  • Jasmine “memrice” Huynh
  • Jennifer “wetboosy” Li
  • Bella “soju” Rierad (coach)

During the tournament, the officials were made aware of a suspicion involving a Team Besties player. 

Kei had played Sova in all of Team Besties’ first five games of Game Changers and accumulated a -39 kill/death differential with a stable ping of 52ms. However, in the next three games against Team Invicta and 100emoji, kei played Jett and Reyna with a stable ping of 68 ms, accumulating a kill/death differential of +44.

Furthermore, the Tournament Officials also caught an account named “arentikawaii” in the pre-game lobby against 100emoji, to whom the team tried to pass off as an alternate account for one of the players. Voice communication recordings of Team Besties also picked up the phrase, “what is the password?” from a player. 

“We worked with Tournament Officials to confirm that kei’s account had multiple log-ins from across North America during Game Changers,” Riot said in a statement. “Accordingly, Tournament Officials disqualified Team Besties from Game Changers.”

Fortnite Glitch is making players lose their gold bars

Epic Games have always been known for giving out surprises in their updates including various famous crossovers of celebrities as well as sports stars. Although, this time their popular battle royale game Fortnite is facing a glitch that is causing players to lose their gold bars.

Players are usually seen collecting these gold bars by completing different which includes opening safes and defeating opponents. The gold bars help them to hire NPCs as allies, purchase exotic weapons or upgrade weaponry. Everyone tries to keep it as safe as they can from their opponents.

However, a recent glitch in the game has caused a sudden disappearance of the gold bars of the players and everyone is clueless on why this is happening. 

People have started writing posts on Reddit saying all of their gold bars are suddenly gone and they can’t buy anything in the game.

After seeing massive reports on the missing gold bars, Fortnite tweeted that the development team is investigating an issue where players may start a game with 0 bars. 

Later on, Fortnite updated saying that the issues have now been resolved and the players can now see their bar counts. The gold bars collected in a match will carry over to the next game. 

Season 7 of Fortnite brings out new quests for all the players including shooting down a UFO, eliminating alien trespassers, and destroying computer equipment which was covered in the previous article.

Velocity Gaming wins VCC India Qualifier 1

The finals of the most awaited Valorant Conqueror Championship India Qualifiers #1 ended with Velocity Gaming defeating Global Esports. Team VLT won the first India qualifiers with 3-1. Now VLT has become the first team to enter the playoffs of the Valorant Conquerors Championships from India. Although, Global Esports also got seeded to VCC Wildcard qualifiers for finishing 2nd in the India Qualifiers #1.

VALORANT Conquerors Championship a qualifying tournament for South Asian players. The teams would qualify for the APAC Last Chance Qualifiers as part of the 2021 VALORANT Champions Tour. According to the official press release, teams will compete in multiple sub-regional qualifiers from which the winning team will make their way to the APAC Last Chance Qualifier.

Global Esports started as the attackers in the first map of the finals. Team VLT took the lead in the first four rounds, but the first half ended with 7-4 against Global Esports. VLT again got the lead with 4 wins in the second half whereas Team GE managed 5 rounds win but were not enough to get the win over Velocity Gaming. 

Final Score: 13-10 (VLT wins)

MAP 2 – BIND

Getting the win in their first game, boosted the confidence of the team. Global Esports could get their first win in the fourth round. GE used this win as their comeback and ended the first half with 8-4 in their favor. But the second half completely got turned by Team Velocity. The team didn’t gave any chance to Team GE and took the win at the end of the game.

Final Score: 13-10 (VLT wins)

MAP 3 – ASCENT

This was a must-win game for Global Esports to keep their hopes high to get the champions title. Team GE completely dominated the game and finished the first half with 9-3. Getting over to the second half with a six-round lead helped the team to win the third game.

Final Score: 13-6 (GE wins)

MAP 4 – BREEZE

Velocity Gaming needed just one game to become the VCC India Qualifiers #1 champions. On the other hand, Global Esports had do or die situation. The first half ended with 6-6, not favoring any team. The second half went into overtime (OT) with Velocity Gaming taking the game.

Final Score: 14- 12 (VLT wins)

Nepal and Bhutan Qualifiers are next in line. With the registrations already going on, teams could join the event till 15th July 2021.

FaZe eliminate Heroic 2-1 from IEM Cologne 2021

FaZe beat Heroic 2-1 at IEM Cologne 2021, sending the Danish team back home. FaZe beat them 16-10 on Mirage, conceived defeat 11-16 on Nuke. The Group B Lower Bracket finals had a conclusive story with FaZe winning the game 16-10 in Ancient map.

Heroic now joins NiP, Vitality, Liquid to return home from IEM Cologne 2021 without getting on to the playoffs.

The newest iteration of Faze Clan, after a series of poor results, knocks the EPL S13 champions out of Cologne through to the playoffs.

After dropping out of the top 30 at the start of June, things looked as bad as they had ever been for the International roster, with Karrigan’s second stint not working out as expected. But they managed to get through the play-ins and continue their fairytale run with a huge upset versus Heroic to finally have a chance at a top 6 finish in an A-tier tournament in some time.

FaZe immediately left out their permaban map, that is Vertigo, a map that is almost like a second home map for the Danes, and picked into their reliable map of Mirage, which lets them play a slightly looser style of CS. Heroic chose their home map, Nuke, a long-time favorite of many a Danish team.

The last map of the series was Ancient. This would be the first series at IEM Cologne 2021 where a series would be decided on the newest map in the map pool.

MAP 1: Mirage

The international roster had a troubling start to things and it took them a while to find their footing, finding their first after a streak of 6 by Heroic, with in-game leader Finn ‘karrigan‘ Andersen especially having a rough go of things.

The Faze boys did manage a respectable T side with 5 rounds, ending the half at 10:5, but it was in no way sustainable. Or so we though, as what was to come was nothing short of perfection. Faze Clan answered back with 11 CT rounds on the trot! Not giving the danish side even a second to breathe. 28 frags combined and only 2 deaths from young guns Helvijs ‘broky‘ Saukants and  Russel ‘Twistzz‘ Van Dulken saw them close out the map 16:10 with ease.

MAP 2: NUKE

(Picked by : Heroic, Won by: Heroic, Final Score 16:11)

Faze looked decent on their opponent’s map pick and looked to give them a run for their money on the CT side, racking up 8 rounds to finish the half at 8:7. A competitive scoreline soon turned to a blowout as the Danes showed why they are so feared on this map, as they took a lead early on and maintained it until the end thanks to René ‘TeSeS‘ Madsen and his heroics.

The map finished 16:11, with Faze only managing 3 T rounds.

MAP 3: ANCIENT

(Decider, Won by: Faze Clan, Final Score 16:10)

A thriller was at hand, with both teams winning their picks to find themselves on the grounds of Ancient to battle it out. Another tough start saw Faze down 6-1 on the CT side, but a brilliant showing from IGL Finn ‘karrigan‘ Andersen again, saw them win out the CT half 9:6, winning 8/8 rounds towards the end. Karrigan’s prowess showed again, as aggressive calling and his fragging power on the T side helped them secure a miraculous upset versus the Danish side, ending the map and series 16:10.

AFTERMATH

Faze move on to the playoffs to play Gambit in the quarter-finals, after the CIS team lost to G2 earlier today. Heroic go home for the player break-in 7-8th position alongside BIG as only 6 teams remain.
