Konami rebrands PES as eFootball, goes free-to-play with crossplay support

Konami has taken a significant step to pump up its popular football title Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). For a couple of years, Konami used “eFootball PES” as the name of their popular title. Now they have rebranded the PES franchise to eFootball. eFootball will be available this Autumn on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PC, Android, and iOS.

Apart from rebranding the franchise, Konami has also announced that eFootball will be totally free-to-play. This free-to-play game will directly compete with its biggest rival EA Sports’ FIFA franchise.

We started planning this move roughly two years ago to coincide with the console generation transition and changes in the market environment. I believe that we have already proven that this structure can be successful on mobile. By applying the same model across all platforms, we hope that more football fans will be able to play this game on consoles as well.

eFootball is powered by a custom-built football engine based on Unreal Engine 4. In addition, Konami appointed Andrés Iniesta and Gerard Piqué as development advisors for attacking and defensive gameplay respectively. Moreover, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. are the global ambassadors of eFootball.

The new engine will allow “Motion Matching”. According to Konami, it will convert player movements into series of animations. It kind of sounds like the Hypermotion Technology which EA introduced in FIFA 22. Along with it, the developers have also improved ball control.

Starting with the strong foundations of Unreal Engine, which has allowed us to massively overhaul player expression, we’ve made a number of modifications to virtually create a new football game engine that will power eFootball for years to come. With the added power of new-generation consoles and by working closely with elite footballers, eFootball delivers our most tense and realistic gameplay to date. We’ll share specific gameplay details next month, so stay tuned.

In order to make a pit stop in F1 2021, you need to inform your crew beforehand. First, you should call the team and inform them about a stop by pressing R1 for PlayStation or RB for Xbox. Then press the option that directs towards the pit after the current lap.

After this, you need to watch out for the box stop on the track and keep your Dynamic Racing Line assist on. 

The players will then see an indicator line on the track showing the way to the pit stop.

Once you have reached the pit stop, you need to make sure your Pit Release assist is on which will help you to leave quickly upon finishing the fixes to your car. 

The assist will make it easier for you to help with the stops as well as the maintenance of the vehicle. 

Although, few players choose not to turn on these assists and try to figure out on their own when they need a pit stop for their vehicle.

A good start in a formula1 race is desired by everyone playing F1 2021 and it is not that easy. The start does not just depend on buttons but also on how quickly can you press them. We found a way to help you get a good start in F1 2021.

Before the start of the race, when the players are at the starting line, they often press and hold R2 for PlayStation and RT for Xbox until the five red lights turn green. This is not exactly what will make you lead from the start in an F1 2021 race.

CS:GO’s most successful roster from Denmark, Astralis, have secured a contract with their in-game leader Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander for three years. Lukas will be at Astralis at least until 2024. The announcement was made by the organization just a while ago on social media.

The news comes in as the circuit is moving towards a new season, expecting dozens of transfers and renewals of contracts. The organizations in the esports industry generally follow calendar year contractual agreements with the athletes and content creators.

Moreover, the timing of the news strengthens the stability of players among the rosters. It is highly expected that the roster transfers and changes in the coming few months will presumably change the meta and mechanism of the playstyles.

“I have achieved a great deal with Astralis,” says Lukas as he continues “obviously I had a lot to consider before I started the contract negotiations. Was it about time I tried something new or do I see myself in Astralis for years to come? I am Astralis by heart and no matter how I look at it I feel at home here. It’s an organization that always strives to develop the game and the players – and it’s ingrained in everyone that we compete to win the biggest titles.”

Speaking on the renewal, Astralis’ Director of Sports, Kasper Hvidt said, “When we look at our Counter-Strike team in a historic perspective, Lukas has always been instrumental for the way we develop the game and his thorough approach to preparing has been one of the key elements to the team’s success.”

The reciprocation from Astralis’ remaining players might not be plausible as his long-standing colleague Dupreeh is rumored to join their ex-teammate Device at Ninjas in Pyjamas. These, however, are all just rumors yet, we’ll wait to see how it pans out.

Complexity Adds ‘es3tag’ to CSGO Roster, RUSH Benched

North American esports organization Complexity has announced the signing of Danish CSGO pro Patrick “⁠es3tag⁠” Hansen. Fans will be able to see the 25-year-old in action once again following a period of 4 months of him being inactive in Cloud9.

Hansen will be joining the active CSGO roster of Complexity in the place of William “⁠RUSH⁠” Wierzba, who had been benched from the squad prior to the change.

“I had hoped we would achieve more with this roster, but we simply didn’t meet our expectations time and time again,” Rush acknowledged in a Twitter post.

He also claimed that “a change was needed in the roster.”

“We’ve had an eye on es3tag for quite some time as he’s obviously an amazing player,” Jason Lake, CEO of Complexity, told HLTV. “Additionally, beyond that, I believe his work ethic, attitude, and knowledge of the game will help get this roster to the next level where it belongs. I’m extremely excited to welcome him to the Complexity family.”

With this new set of changes to the team, the current Complexity lineup includes the following players:

  •  Kristian “⁠k0nfig⁠” Wienecke
  •  Valentin “⁠poizon⁠” Vasilev

Complexity gaming on Twitter have revealed the addition of Patrick “es3tag” Hansen to their CSGO division. 

After spending four months on Cloud9’s bench, Es3tag has signed up for Complexity’s CSGO roster and will replace Wiliaml “RUSH” Wierzba on the team. This will be the team’s second change post the departure of head coach Jamie “⁠keita⁠” Hall. 

Earlier today, Complexity moved RUSH to their bench in the wake of poor showings across the past year. This was indeed followed by the North American organization unveiling the signing of es3tag to their CSGO squad. 

Complexity struggled to find their position at the top of the rankings despite winning the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals where they beat Vitality in the Grand Finals. It was the only time when the team was deemed to be in its prime form as their rhythm went spiraling down going forward. A plethora of mid-table finishes across the year 2020 and their recent exit from the IEM Cologne Group Stage at the hands of Virtus.pro had the team reconsider their options for the future.

Patrick joined Cloud9 from Astralis as a part of Henry “HenryG” Greer’s project dubbed as the “Colossus” in the second half of 2020 led by Alex “ALEX” McMeekin. Across his tenure with the former, the team had its own ups and downs, eventually putting their CSGO division on hold earlier in March. At Complexity, Es3tag reunites with blameF, with whom he played under Heroic for a brief period. The Texas-based team will debut with es3tag at the ESL Pro League Season 14.

Earlier this week, Fnatic announced that they have benched veteran AWPer and long-standing member Jesper “⁠JW⁠” Wecksell following a series of dismal performances from the player JW won 3 majors with Fnatic and has been part of the org since the early days of CS:GO, and was a top 10 player for 3 years straight.

Fnatic has been on a constant path downhill ever since the online era started and dropped out of the top 15 back in February and haven’t recovered since. Currently at 47th in the world, a matter of great shame for a team that was so dominant in the early years of CS:GO, winning 3 majors in the process.

Swedes struggling to find a way

With IGL Maikil “⁠Golden⁠” Selim being benched earlier this month, JW now joins him on the bench, leaving only 3 members in the starting line-up. Fnatic plans to go international with the new roster, moving away from their policy of 5 swedes, which had been very successful.

Currently, the three remaining members of the roster are Freddy”⁠KRIMZ⁠” Johansson, Ludvig “⁠Brollan⁠” Brolin, and Jack “⁠Jackinho⁠” Ström Mattsson with KRIMZ being the only one remaining from the roster that won the Major in 2015. Regarding the move, JW said that he would reflect upon things, and didn’t rule out anything about a potential move to VALORANT. His contract expires in early 2022.

Potential European Shuffle

Across the border, in Denmark, things look equally shaky. According to Twitter user @DanishCSGOleaks, huge roster moves are on the cards, primarily involving the Astralis core. As per the user, the members have decided not to renew their contracts this year, after 5 years with the organisation.

The core members will be free agents come 2022, and have the right to look for offers already. Only Bubzkji, the newest member, has a year and a half left on his contract.

As per the rumours, clutch minister ‘Xyp9x’ will be moving to Faze Clan as ‘olofmeister’ will finally step down for them to make way. ‘Dupreeh’ is rumoured to join old mate ‘dev1ce’ in NIP who have decided to bench the academy graduate ‘LNZ’. ‘Magisk’ is reportedly set to join Complexity with ex-teammate ‘k0nfig’ as major winner ‘RUSH’ is allegedly being benched.

These are all of course, rumours, and must be taken with a pinch of salt

Rumours aside, coach ‘Zonic’ will NOT renew his contract and is looking for offers elsewhere, news portal Jaxon confirmed. The position of the coach is rumoured to be filled by current Heroic coach ‘HUNDEN’ which would also explain his absence from the last event IEM COLOGNE.

The roster that won 4 majors, 3 of them in a row, would each go their own ways after being together for 5 years, leaving behind an unmatchable dynasty. Lastly, 2-time major winner and #1 player in the world in 2016 and 2017, ‘coldzera’ said he WOULD play the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 14 in August, but for whom, remains to be seen.

Complexity Gaming on Twitter have revealed the departure of Willian “RUSH” Wierzba” from their CSGO division. The 27-year-old has been benched from the active roster in the wake of poor showings across last year. 

Having joined Complexity from Cloud9’s bench alongside blameF, RUSH had been a part of the “Juggernaut” program led by Benjamin “blameF” Bremer with whom he joined the former team in 2019.

RUSH’s departure follows the exit of head coach Jamie “⁠keita⁠” Hall with whom Complexity mutually parted ways with. 

Ahead of the player break, Complexity are the first time to shuffle up their roster going forward. It was later revealed that Patrick ‘es3tag” Hansen was signed into the former’s CSGO roster and would debut with the team at the ESL Pro League Season 14, scheduled to start from August 16.
