The popular free-2-play Battle Royale, Fortnite may have started finalizing the content for the upcoming Season 8 update. The game is halfway through the current Season 7 and fans are getting excited to learn more about the next season.
With news about Season 7 ending on September 12th/13th right around Halloween week, we can expect the next season to begin as early as September 13th/14th.
Leakers and data miners were recently able to pull data from servers during regular maintenance time. They suggest that Season 8 might introduce a new element called The Sideways. They believe that the Sideways will act as a portal and allow players to travel between the various locations of the map instantly. The portal might also spawn fiends randomly and will be part of the game later in Season 9 also.
The leaks also suggest that Season 8 is themed around “The return of Darkness.” Kevin the cube is expected to return back to the game in Season 8. Along with Cube, there will be a new Halloween Zombie named “ZigZag”.
Epic is also trying to get Naruto for Season 8 battle pass. Devs also plan to add a new weapon type called Explosive Kunai, a signature weapon from the Naruto series. There are also plans to add members from the Suicide Squad as part of a promotion for the upcoming sequel of the movie.

Just like in the real world, a railway system in Minecraft is a great way to travel great distances in a short time. While creating your very own Railway system in Minecraft might take some time, the result is worth the time spent.
Getting Started- Materials and Equipment needed
Being a sandbox arcade game, Minecraft gives its users extreme freedom to imagine and create items of their choice in the game world simply by placing blocks. All you need is suitable material and creativity. Let’s look at what items we need to create a Railway system.
Rails- First and foremost, we need rails to design our railway track. We need 2 types of rails ─ Basic Rail and Powered Rail. Basic rail will be used to plan out the railway track and powered rail will be used to power the minecarts. We will be placing one powered rail after 5 basic rail to speed up our carts.
Recipe
Basic Rail- We need 6 iron ingots and one stick. Place the iron ingots in such a manner that only the middle column remains empty (2nd, 5th, and 8th place). Now place the stick in the exact middle i.e. 5th place.
Powered Rail- We need 6 gold ingots, one stick, and Redstone to make one powered rail. Place the items in the same manner as basic rail. Additionally, place the Redstone in the middle of the last row i.e. 8th place.
Minecarts- the basic vessel we need to use to travel on tracks. These carts will run only on rails and carry players as well as items across the tracks in the direction they are pushed. Note that the carts don’t have a braking system, so to stop you either exit the cart or use non-activated powered rails to stop the cart.
Recipe
Place 5 iron ingots in the craft table in a position such that only the middle spot (2) in the top row is empty and the second row (4,5,6) is filled. The third row will remain empty.
Redstone torches- These torches are used to power the powered rails to push minecarts forward. We will be placing one Redstone torch beside every powered rail. Note that powered rails without a Redstone torch beside it will act as a braking system and slow down the speed of minecarts.
Recipe
Place one stick in the middle of the top row (2nd place) and one Redstone in the middle of the second row (5th place).
The quantity of the items depends on the length of the tracks we are going to build. Just make sure to have everything in 5:1:1 ratio i.e. for 5 basic rails we need one powered rail and one Redstone torch.
Building the Railway System
Here comes the main part of the guide, building your very first railway system.
Before placing any rail, start by placing one block at the very beginning of the track. This is to ensure that the minecart doesn’t leave the rail in case it rolls backward.
Start by placing basic rails in a straight line.
(Do this only once) Place one powered rail after 3 basic rails. Remember to place Redstone torch beside the powered rail.
Now start by placing 5 basic rails and one powered rail with Redstone torch beside it.
Repeat step 4 until you have a basic design of your choice.
Now after the railway track of your choice is built, place one solid block at the end of the track to stop carts from rolling off the rail.

Earlier this week ESL announced the groups for their next event, Pro League Season 14, and also revamped the format for the playoffs that will take place once the group stage is concluded. EPL Season 14 will be held online and will contain 24 teams, which includes 18 teams from the EU, 5 from North America, and 1 from the Oceanic region.
The teams have been divided into groups of 6, where they will play each team once, and at the end, the top 3 will move on to the playoffs.
THE GROUPS
GROUP A: 16-20 August
Teams: Heroic, Astralis, Team Vitality, Team Spirit, ENCE, Bad News Bears
Two Danish powerhouses will go toe to toe to find the best placing in group A, as Vitality will look to reignite the spark they had from 2020. Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut’s performances haven’t dwindled but a couple of roster changes and going back to a 5 man squad have affected them heavily in 2021.
Team Spirit and Ence can both give the top teams a run for their money, with Spirit having performed well at IEM Cologne, and ENCE looking to bounce back after completely revitalizing their roster from the dream IEM Katowice 2019 run, with Aleksi ‘allu’ Jalli being the last to part ways in early May. Bad News Bears have been performing well regionally and can play spoiler to a lot of teams in group A.
The only strong contender from Group B seems to be G2, showing promise at IEM Cologne too. VP will again look to break into the top 10 after an average performance at Cologne. OG and Renegades will meet up again, and OG will look for revenge as they lost to the Aussies in a shock upset at the IEM Cologne play-ins and couldn’t even make it to the main event.
Eyes will be on Complexity as well after the parted ways with Will “RUSH” Wierzba and added Patrick ‘es3tag’ Hansen to the roster. Famed from his Astralis days, they will have high hopes for him. Finally, after being away from competitive CSGO for almost 3 years, Tomas ‘oskar’ Stastny returns to the spotlight with Sinners esports after they won ESEA premier season 37
GROUP C: 27-31 August
Teams: Natus Vincere, Faze Clan, BIG, Mouseports, Evil Geniuses, Fnatic
Headed by NAVI, group C contains some pretty big names, with pedigree. Invincibles at IEM Cologne, NAVI have their work cut out for them as they face, BIG, Faze, and Mouseports all of whom have been looking hot to trot. EG will look to prove their NA supremacy, after adding Damian ‘Daps’ Steele as a coach.
Fnatic will be the biggest underdog coming in, having removed two of their long-standing pillars in the form of ‘JW’ and ‘Golden’. The two new additions are yet to be announced, but reports suggest it may be ex-Cloud 9 UK duo ‘ALEX’ and ‘mezii’, but whether they are true, remains to be seen.
GROUP D: 1-5 September
Teams: Gambit esports, Ninjas In Pyajamas, Furia esports, Team Liquid, Entropiq, Team One
Group D is stacked from top to bottom, with top teams from every region. World #1 for the last 2 months, Gambit will be looking to once again get back to the top as they go up against Ninjas in Pyjamas who have had their own woes since Nicolai ‘dev1ce’ Reedtz was added, having failed to find a suitable fifth member. Team Liquid and Furia represent NA and continue their rivalry in season 14, after dismal performances in Cologne.
Liquid should be looking for a semi-final berth at least if they want to prove to the world that they still have what it takes. Entropiq has looked good in the CIS scene and can surely play spoiler along with ESEA Premier S37 NA winners, Team One.
THE NEW PLAYOFF FORMAT
ESL also announced that they will do away with the playoff format followed until Season 13, and will use an updated system. The Play-in stage that was played between the group winners for a semi-final sport straightaway has been removed, as it was deemed too advantageous for the winners.
In the new format, all the group winners will be guaranteed a quarter-final berth and the round of 12 will be played by the 2nd and 3rd placed team from the groups, with the winner moving on to the quarters.
ESL Pro League Season 14 kicks off on August 16 when the player break ends and will conclude in the second week of September with a prize pool of $750,000.
A new update has been shipped to CSGO on July 28th and while it’s not the huge update that fans were expecting to see, it does bring some interesting improvements to Calavera and the game’s overall stability.
If you haven’t played the map Calavera yet, we strongly suggest you do. The recently released wingman map is definitely one of the better 2v2 maps we’ve seen in the game in a while. It features a single bomb site, but with multiple entry points that the CTs have to hold down. Not to mention that it’s insanely fun when played with a friend.
The changes implemented to Calavera in this update include adding more contrast to the door texture to make it stand out from its surroundings and moving the ladder at T-stairs slightly to make going up more smooth. There are also some new fixes made to the pixel gaps and clipping in the map.
Other than the Calavera changes, today’s update also brings some stability improvements to the title that may potentially make the game smoother.
