Heroic to take Legal Actions against Hunden for Breaching Contract

Renowned esports organization Heroic has parted ways with former head coach Nicolai ‘Hunden’ Petersen after alleging that the 30-year-old had leaked “confidential and sensitive information” from the team’s strategy folder to a “major competitor” ahead of IEM Cologne 2021 in July.

The organization has confirmed that they have started legal proceedings against Hunden following an investigation that allegedly revealed that he shared the information with a key individual at the competitor prior to the tournament.

Heroic said in a statement: “In order to preserve the integrity of the sport in the eyes of fans and everyone involved, it has to be made clear that such behavior is unacceptable and will have severe consequences.

This isn’t the first time Hunden has found himself amid controversies, though. He had previously been involved with the infamous CSGO coaching bug abuse that led to several coaches receiving temporary suspensions.

The announcement by Heroic comes after Hunden denied the allegations raised against him in a statement released on July 28th. According to him, he had only discussed “anti-strat material of opponents” with colleagues of other teams.

Heroic has claimed in their statement that a legal process is already going on in Denmark regarding this issue and that two courts have independently found sufficient grounds for evidence collection, which has been carried out.

Valorant Player Blocks Vandal Headshot With Cypher’s Cage

0

A Valorant player seems to have experienced one of the weirdest interactions in the tactical shooter, as they successfully blocked a Vandal headshot using Cypher’s Cage. The accidental save led to the Cypher player clutching the round 1v2 in a hilarious manner that has left the Valorant community laughing at the incident.

Reddit user u/Marin18 has shared his experience in a Reddit post that showcases what went down. In the clip, we can see Cypher attempting a 1v2 situation where he tries to take the B site in Bind against a Jett and a Sage. He catches Jett around the corner and disposes of her with a swift headshot.

The last remaining player in the enemy team, Sage, didn’t delay in taking the peek when she heard her teammate die. However, it seems like lady luck was on Cypher’s side.

The Cypher in the clip is seen simultaneously throwing his cage when Sage lands a headshot on him. The Vandal shot, which would otherwise be lethal, was blocked off by the cage. The shot dealt only 135 damage instead of instantly killing him, an unexpected advantage that the Cypher utilized to its fullest and gunned down the sage.

Fans have also pointed out a possibility that the Sage had shot the wall, hence reducing the damage dealt with the Cypher. However, judging by the angle of gunfire, that seems quite unlikely.

Needless to say, this sort of interaction is only observed once in a blue moon, and the chances of recreating this successfully are extremely thin.

Stockholm is still on the cards for PGL CSGO Major

Earlier in January 2021, the North American event organizer PGL had announced that it would host CSGO’s 16th Major on LAN in Stockholm in Sweden from October 23 till November 7 with a whopping $2M USD up for grabs.

The venue decided is the famous Ericsson Globe which had earlier hosted the DreamHack Invitational in 2014 and DreamHack Masters Stockholm in 2018.

Today the event organizer through a blog post has posted an update regarding the same, where they weigh up the possibility of the CSGO Major happening in Stockholm, Sweden itself. A week earlier, PGL were seen pondering over the Venue selection and considered moving the Major to another European country due to the travel restrictions and the audience limit set by the Swedish Authorities.

Until today, PGL have further stated upon the status of the same as they now bank on two key deadlines, to be declared by the Swedish Government on the dates, August 23 and September 15 respectively. The deadline on August 23 would see players and fans travel to Sweden in the wake of the temporary travel ban getting lifted while the second deadline i.e. September 15 may ease up the indoor restrictions, eventually allowing PGL to organize a full house during the playoffs event.

In a press release, Mr. Vlad Ispas, Social Media Coordinator at PGL added,

The Swedish authorities are busy lifting restrictions for the PGL CSGO Major to take place in Stockholm, as we initially planned at the beginning of the year. We keep a very close eye on two deadlines. The first one will be on August 23rd: the Swedish Government proposed a change in the temporary entry ban that will allow all the players and people supporting the event to enter Sweden. The amendment is supposed to enter into force on August 23rd.

The ticket sales for the event will go live on September 16, irrespective of the determined location ahead towards the major.

He further stated,

We’re looking forward to holding the PGL CSGO Major playoffs in Stockholm, but we’re also prepared to change direction in September if that event isn’t accessible to the audience. Regardless of where the Major ends up, we’re excited to bring you the best possible event with all the players, staff, and roaring crowds!

The Tokyo Olympics is the biggest sporting event going on right now that is broadcasted throughout the world which is heavily protected with strict DMCA regulations.

I THINK I GOT MY CHANNEL LIVE-DMCA’d. I TOOK NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FINE. REALLY DIDN’T EXPECT IT BUT I COUL’VE EASILY AVOIDED THIS. SORRY FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED INCLUDING THE VIEWERS. I’LL BE BETTER/SMARTER NEXT TIME AND FOLLOW GUIDELINES MORE STRICTLY

xQc

xQc is no stranger to Twitch bans and this might as well be his first ban that got lifted within 5 hours. Despite picking up multiple bans Twitch has been forgiving which is extremely uncharacteristic of them.

VCC: Best Plays From Sri Lanka and Maldives Qualifier Finals

Nodwin events are known for their laid-back atmosphere and a different take to casting and analysis, but the matches played at the recently concluded Valorant Conquerors Championship were as good and exciting as anywhere else.At the regional qualifiers, which took place online, we saw Crash Landin On You (CLOY) live up to the favorites tag and fight through the single-elimination bracket to secure their spot at the main event of the VCC.

Last month, exciting headshots, multi kills, and clutches were pulled off by the likes of DEADSHOT, 1NSANE & ThunderFlash (from CLOY), Asitte (from LG), fired up viewers across South Asia. To commemorate their plays, Nodwin has created a fragmovie with some of the best plays from the LK/MV finals.

In the Grand Finale of Sri Lanka/Maldives Qualifier, teams Crash Landin On You and Lexious Gaming (LG) make it to the former following a flawless run from over their respective brackets. On July 25, both these teams contested in a Best of five affairs to determine their fate towards the lone spot at the main event of the Valorant Conquerors Championship.

Map Veto :

1. CLOY ban Bind
2. LG pick Haven
3. CLOY pick Icebox
4. LG pick Split

TalkEsport have picked top five plays from the frag video Nodwin uploaded and it all starts with DEADSHOT from team Crash Landin On You where he shuts down the attackers from entering the B-site on Haven. He is spotted using Jett’s ultimate ability Bladestorm, picking off qpto in just one hit while hitting rest of his knives on Zxerv. This indeed fueled up the momentum for the Sri Lankan side as they bagged Haven, 13-9.

1NSANE to the rescue.

The next honourable mention is a tribute to CLOY’s 1NSANE. After closely dodging the defender KillJoy’s lockdown, Mr 1NSANE pulled off a phenomenal 1v3 clutch with Reyna, in an attempt to recover from the first half collapse and secured his team their second round on the board. The score read 2-9 in the favour of Crash Landin On You.

Assite wins the pistol for Lexious Gaming.

It’s often annoying when none of your teammates care about your flank. That’s exactly what happened on Split as Mr Assite decimated all three players of CLOY in the connectors, converting his rotation into a round win. Although Lexious were unable to draft a comeback, it was Assite who popped off when the team really needed him.

A Duality stand-off.

It was indeed DEADSHOT on his Jett who defied Lexious’s Assite from defusing the spike as the former went on to win the 1v2 duel. Defeating maestr0 further slowed down the retake for Lexious as both the players with their Jett entered a crazy duel, only to add up to the misery for the Maldives based squad.

It took just one shock-dart.

Ascent, the decider saw both the teams trade rounds back and forth. 4-3 read the score when CLOY’s ThunderFlash lined up one of his shock darts, to eliminate qpto on his Astra from the 3v2 contention as they successfully neutralized the spike threat.

It was that moment onwards when Team Crash Landin On You went on a winning spree, without dropping any round further, claiming Ascent and won themselves a spot at the Main event in the form of VCC.

Genshin Impact will get 4 more regions over the next four years

Genshin Impact initially launched with two out of seven nations of Teyvat; Mondstadt & Liyue, and since then the game has been continuously expanding thanks to its timely updates. Last week’s 2.0 update added a third region, Inazuma along with three new playable characters Yomiya, Ayaka, and Sayu, a new gardening system, quests, artifacts, and more.

According to the lore, there are a total of seven major nations in Teyvat and each region represents an element. Mondstadt represents Anemo, while Liyue represents Geo and the newly added nation, Inazuma, represents Electro which leaves the remaining 4 regions based on Dendro (Sumeru), Hydro (Fontaine), Pyro (Natlan), and Cryo (Snezhnaya).

During Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2021, miHoYo’s producer Haoyu Cai shared an in-depth look into Genshin’s art design and worldbuilding. He also discussed the importance of character design as well as Genshin Impact’s future updates and stated that Teyvat’s nations have been planned out ever since the game went into development and that the world will evolve over time thanks to its annual updates. (Source: Famitsu)

Players still have plenty of time to explore everything Inazuma has to offer and given Genshin’s track record, we can expect Sumeru Fontaine Natlan and Snezhnaya as part of major updates over the course of the next four years. While you wait for the next major update, here’s something you can expect in update 2.1.

Apex Legends Disruptor Rounds: All you need to know

Season 10 of Apex Legends will be coming out with the introduction of new legends and weapons. It will also include some major changes in the map and the introduction of Disruptor Rounds.

The new legend, Seer has been in demand ever since it was announced by the developers. He also has some unique abilities making him different from all the other heroes in the game.

His abilities help in tracking down the enemies and making it easier for him to kill them. This hero will be preferred by many players who like to play passively and have a tactical approach towards the game.

The map will also be seeing some huge changes as well, including the post-apocalyptic theme with lava flowing all across the map.

However, one of the most important parts of the update will be the introduction of Disruptor Rounds.

Introduction of Disruptor Rounds

Respawn Entertainment has recently announced that Prowler is leaving Care Packages and it will be replaced by Spitfire and Alternator.

Later on, fans eventually figured out that Alternators will be equipped with Disruptor Rounds as well.

Disruptor Rounds gave a damage multiplier of 1.55x to the Alternator, and 1.7x RE-45 Auto, when attacking shielded targets.

During Season 2, the combination of Disruptor Rounds and Alternator was a very popular choice by the players, however, it was eventually removed from the game.

Season 10 update comes on August 3rd and it will be very interesting to see the changes made in the Disruptor Rounds as well as the other major changes in the game.

How To Make Your Very Own Railway System in Minecraft?

0

Just like in the real world, a railway system in Minecraft is a great way to travel great distances in a short time. While creating your very own Railway system in Minecraft might take some time, the result is worth the time spent.

Getting Started- Materials and Equipment needed

Being a sandbox arcade game, Minecraft gives its users extreme freedom to imagine and create items of their choice in the game world simply by placing blocks. All you need is suitable material and creativity. Let’s look at what items we need to create a Railway system.

  • Rails- First and foremost, we need rails to design our railway track. We need 2 types of rails ─ Basic Rail and Powered Rail. Basic rail will be used to plan out the railway track and powered rail will be used to power the minecarts. We will be placing one powered rail after 5 basic rail to speed up our carts.
    • Recipe
    • Basic Rail- We need 6 iron ingots and one stick. Place the iron ingots in such a manner that only the middle column remains empty (2nd, 5th, and 8th place). Now place the stick in the exact middle i.e. 5th place.
    • Powered Rail- We need 6 gold ingots, one stick, and Redstone to make one powered rail. Place the items in the same manner as basic rail. Additionally, place the Redstone in the middle of the last row i.e. 8th place.
  • Minecarts- the basic vessel we need to use to travel on tracks. These carts will run only on rails and carry players as well as items across the tracks in the direction they are pushed. Note that the carts don’t have a braking system, so to stop you either exit the cart or use non-activated powered rails to stop the cart.
    • Recipe
    • Place 5 iron ingots in the craft table in a position such that only the middle spot (2) in the top row is empty and the second row (4,5,6) is filled. The third row will remain empty.
  • Redstone torches- These torches are used to power the powered rails to push minecarts forward. We will be placing one Redstone torch beside every powered rail. Note that powered rails without a Redstone torch beside it will act as a braking system and slow down the speed of minecarts.
    • Recipe
    • Place one stick in the middle of the top row (2nd place) and one Redstone in the middle of the second row (5th place).

The quantity of the items depends on the length of the tracks we are going to build. Just make sure to have everything in 5:1:1 ratio i.e. for 5 basic rails we need one powered rail and one Redstone torch.

Building the Railway System

Here comes the main part of the guide, building your very first railway system.

  • Before placing any rail, start by placing one block at the very beginning of the track. This is to ensure that the minecart doesn’t leave the rail in case it rolls backward.
  • Start by placing basic rails in a straight line.
  • (Do this only once) Place one powered rail after 3 basic rails. Remember to place Redstone torch beside the powered rail.
  • Now start by placing 5 basic rails and one powered rail with Redstone torch beside it.
  • Repeat step 4 until you have a basic design of your choice.
  • Now after the railway track of your choice is built, place one solid block at the end of the track to stop carts from rolling off the rail.

And Done! Now you have your very own basic railway system that can be used anytime. For a more advanced tutorial click here.
