The High Court of Bangladesh has passed an order to remove all “dangerous or harmful” mobile applications in the country, including PUBG Mobile and Free Fire, to the relevant authorities in the country. Apps like TikTok and Likee are also seen on the list and they might be banned on the pretext of being ‘addictive in nature’.
According to a report by Dhaka Tribune, Secretaries of the Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry, chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), secretaries of the Education Ministry, Law Ministry, Health Ministry, the inspector general of police, Bangladesh Bank, bKash, Nagad and 18 other individuals were urged to respond to this court order.
A legal notice was reportedly sent to the government on 19th June and after not receiving any response, a petition was filed in High Court on 24th June.
The petitioners termed these games and applications as addictive, saying that the country’s youth and adolescents are addicted to online games such as PUBG and Free Fire and other online apps like Tiktok, Likee and Bigo Live.
South Asian countries have seen multiple instances of such applications being banned in the last couple of years. India took a similar action and banned PUBG Mobile alongside TikTok in September 2020 and Pakistani government also banned PUBGM but it was lifted in a short while.
The government of Bangladesh has not taken any definitive stance yet but some action is expected to be taken in the next few days.

As we draw closer to the knockout phase of Valorant Conquerors Championship, there is a lot to look at from the numbers’ perspective as far as the VCC Main Event Group Stage is concerned.
Eight teams, two groups, 10 matches and 3 days later, we got our four qualifying teams for the knockout phase – Velocity Gaming, Team Exploit, Global Esports and Enigma Gaming. Let us take a statistical look at the VCC Main Event Group Stage.
The Outperformers
As we see often, the Jett players at VCC reigned supreme during the Group Stage. However, Akram ‘rawfiul’ Virani outperformed every other player, recording an ACS of 319.3. Ganesh ‘SkRossi’ Gangadhar recorded an average ACS of 314.5 while playing lesser number of rounds compared to rawfiul.

SkRossi may not have been able to be the best in the VCC Main Event in terms of ACS but the GE duelist was the highest damage dealer, getting in 198.3 damage per round. No one came close to the former Bl4ZE star, with rawfiul coming in second with 166.3 ADR.
The Accuracy Efficacy
In terms of finding enemy’s heads, Mustafa ‘shooterR’ Kamal topped the list in the Group Stage, with a headshot percentage of 36. Abhirup Paul ‘Lightningfast’ Choudhury, Shreyas ‘Moonlight’ Shrestha and Saharyar ‘BadMan’ Shaikh weren’t far behind, finding heads in 32% of their kills.
The OPeners
Well, the first kill is often overpowered as it hands the team an advantage that can very well shape their entire round. rawfiul was once again the protagonist in this situation, coming up with a first kill every four rounds, the same as as VLT star Mohit ‘mw1’ Wakle.
The Clutchmeisters
Anuj ‘Amaterasu’ Sharma, Vibhor ‘Vibhor’ Vaid, Shakir ‘hikka’ Razak, Sameer ‘godvexy’ Sharma and Abdul Sami ‘k1ng’ Khero shared the spoils, converting four clutches each. However, in terms of the differentiator, k1ng converted with better proficiency, winning 40% of his clutch situations.

The sequel to 2010’s action-horror game, Alan Wake, has reportedly moved into full production. This unannounced project is in collaboration with Epic Games as Remedy had signed a deal last year with Epic to “publish two new multi-platform games” while Remedy would have complete “creative freedom and IP ownership.”
Alan Wake 2 would also serve as a sequel to Control, given how the last time we saw Alan was in Control’s second expansion, AWE, which established both games as a part of “Remedy Connected Universe.” In a recent investor’s report, Remedy claimed that Control “has already reached a formidable audience, having been played by over 10 million players” which could be attributed to the fact that Control was free to keep on Epic Games Store earlier this year and a “bigger-budget” Control game is being planned.
It seems that Remedy’s other projects are going along smoothly as their free-to-play co-op game, Vanguard is “progressing at a good pace” and their main focus is on CrossfireHD’s campaign and Crossfire X, which are expected to launch later this year.

Season 5’s Red Doors are now a bit more complicated than before. Players who enter one will now get teleported to a hallway with several other Red Doors and they’ll have a limited amount of time to choose the correct door, and going through the wrong door will cause them to redeploy.
But there’s a way to identify these doors: The correct door will emit a buzzing sound, similar to that of a red or legendary crate and players can end up in one of the 12 possible locations containing loot.
