Jump Force is getting delisted from digital stores next year

0

Bandai Namco’s crossover fighting game, Jump Force is getting removed from stores three years after its release and its online components will be shut down in the following months. Interestingly, Jump Force was ported to the Nintendo Switch just last year in a Deluxe Edition bundle which includes 9 additional characters and alternate costumes.

Jump Force, along with its DLC and in-game currency will be delisted from PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and Nintendo eShop.  Bandai Namco also states that “some of the Jump Force online service servers will be sunsetting on 8/24/2022; however, all single-player functions will continue to be playable locally on your home console or PC, as well as PVP battle, except the Ranked Match mode.”

In Jump Force players have to choose three fighters

from a wide variety of Weekly Shōnen Jump mangas such as Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and they can change their characters on the go depending on the situation. Due to these characters from multiple series, it is fairly obvious that Bandai Namco had various licensing agreements which are set to expire soon, and as a result, the game won’t be available for purchase next year.

If you wish to purchase the game, you can do so before February 7, 2022, on PC (Steam), Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

A Pokimane fan calls her “chubby” and she returned the favor

0

The most popular female streamer Pokimane runs into many awkward road bumps, part of which includes casual taunts and insults from her viewers, but in all her years of streaming, she has learned ways to ease past anything they throw at her and that is exactly what she did when a fan donated $2 to call her “chubby”.

During one of her regular streaming sessions, a fan came by to donate $2 that accompanied a message that essentially called her chubby. “Not to be mean, you look kinda chubby” read the message. The message was noted by Pokimane with thousands of viewers watching, which she followed up with an appropriate reply, that would send the fan packing.

“Damn, this is my life. Sitting here, having people pay to call me ‘chubby’,” the streamer clapped back. she said.

“I can’t tell if that’s a good thing. Does that say more about me or about you?” the streamer added. “I’ve never paid to tell anybody anything. Are you into that sort of thing? You can tell me! We keep secrets here. I won’t tell no one…” she added.

Spending money only to get humiliated in front of thousands would definitely teach the person a lesson. If what he/she sought was attention, that was there in plently.

PewDiePie lashes out of Travis Scott over concert stampede

0

Popular rapper Travis Scott is under fire for not stopping his Astroworld live performance when a stampede was underway among the audience where 8 people lost their lives with several more injured.

Scott has released an apology video claiming that he was unaware of the situation among the crowd which is why he went ahead with his performance. With over 100,000 people amassed for the concert in Houston, Texas, the unfortunate event unfolded, and nothing was done about it until it was too late.

PewDiePie aka Felix Kjellberg, while going through several online articles reporting about the incident, felt that enough responsibility wasn’t taken and eventually slammed the rapper for the incident.

“The more I look into it, the more insane it actually is,” he said. “…It’s normal that things get out of control at concerts, but what isn’t normal is that no one did anything about it. It blows my mind!” he said.

“I don’t understand how you can defend him not seeing anything, there is no excuse.

“I think Travis Scott thought it was cool how it was so crazy and out of control at his concert that he just didn’t care. He probably didn’t realize the severity of the situation but at the same time, it shouldn’t matter. You are still responsible when you look after all these people.” he continued.

Pewds claimed that he understands that Travis might not have been fully aware of the incident at the time but at the same time he believes the rapper to be faking his emotions in the apology video.

“He’s doing this weird thing that kids do when they apologize because they don’t really know how to fake cry so they just start rubbing their face. I’ve definitely seen kids do this,” said PewDiePie.

The incident has taken a serious legal route, with several lawsuits hanging over Scott’s head, now it is up to the authorities to find out what truly happened at the concert and what instigated the stampeded.

Velocity Gaming announces partnership with AMD

0

Velocity Gaming, one of the leading names in Indian Valorant circuit, has announced a partnership with processors manufacturer AMD. This partnership will mutually aid both the parties with AMD earning a strategic spot on VLT’s jerseys and the organization receiving state-of-the-art equipment from AMD.

Velocity Gaming has established itself as a dominant esports organization in India with its Valorant roster leading the charts in multiple tournaments. They were inches closer to represent India at the VCT APAC Last Chance Qualifiers and have secured second spot in Valorant Conquerors Championship, the first official tournament hosted by Riot Games.

This partnership will equip the entire Velocity Gaming’s facilities with AMD equipment and help the players to bring out their best and perform at the highest level possible. The brand name will also be proudly boasted by the players alongside their organization name.

Manoj Kashyap, owner and founder of Velocity Gaming, also talked about this partnership. He stated, “We want our players to have the finest equipment at all times to put on their best performance. As the leading processor manufacturer globally, it was a no-brainer for us to partner with AMD.”

Gnana Shekar, the chief marketing officer of Skyesports and Sky Route shared his views on this partnership. He said, “While esports is growing at a staggering rate in India, such brand partnerships continue to be rare with most sponsors currently favoring advertising campaigns. We want to challenge the status quo and are thrilled to arrange this unique tie-up which will benefit both parties.”

Sky Route is a talent management agency falling under Skyesports and they manage Velocity Gaming.

Velocity Gaming entered Valorant esports when the game was in very early stages and their roster and made a name for itself since then. They recently signed an all-female team called VLT Asteria. This made VLT the first organization to have an all-female team in India.

VLT Asteria is also making a name for themselves as they won FSL Open Wildcard last month to qualify for the VCT 2021: Game Changers SEA FSL Elite.

Wild Rift Patch 2.5B delayed due to Horizon Cup

Riot Games has decided not to implement the balance changes included in the new Wild Rift Patch 2.5B until Horizon Cup ends. The new additions like events, skins and champions are retained but gameplay changes and additional features have not been upgraded till the end of this tournament.

Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 is the first ever international tournament in the Wild Rift esports circuit. This LAN tournament will bring in the best teams from around the world to compete for a massive prize pool of half million dollars.

The developers usually push new patches according to the schedule and the balance changes are employed in each mini update. This includes multiple buffs and nerfs alongside some gameplay changes as well. Riot Games has decided to not push balances changes of the latest Patch 2.5B until the tournament concludes.

This decision is apparently taken on the basis of the fact that minor changes can also affect champions and their playstyle and pushing a new patch right before the tournament will not give the teams enough time to adjust with the changes.

Riot Games has still decided to continue pushing in the rest of entertainment content in the game. They are currently promoting the launch of their new animated series Arcane and related content can already be seen in Wild Rift. Other major additions like Jayce and Caitlyn are retained as well.

The Horizon Cup starts from 13th November at Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore and will run for a week. Balance changes of this new patch could be employed as soon as this tournament ends.

Valve Releases Player Autographs for Top 8 Teams at PGL Major

Valve fulfilled their promise of releasing Player Autographs for the teams that made it to the playoffs of the PGL Major, and shipped a new update to add them to the game. This time around, 2 types of capsules are available to choose from.

The champions capsule which includes the signatures of the Major winning team – NaVi and the players – s1mple, electronic, Boombl4, Perfecto and B1T.

The other capsule contains signatures from the other 7 playoff teams – G2, Gambit, FURIA, Team Vitality Heroic, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Virtus.pro.

Player signatures before PGL Stockholm Major were available only in Paper or Gold rarities but this time around Holo player autographs are also available, giving the stickers a whole new look as one can see their favourite player’s name with a Holo effect after applying the sticker.

Valve received a lot of flak for only giving the top 8 teams player autographs, especially for not informing anyone and only announcing it via twitter days before the Major. Stickers were a way for players to immortalize their name in the Game, but these sudden changes meant that not all of the players could get their player autographs just yet. But with this new approach, Valve may scrap stickers for all players and only give them to teams who make it to the playoffs in the Majors to follow.

50% of proceedings from capsule sales would go to the players and organisations, Valve announced. They also released a new music kit for The Flashbang Dance by The Verkkars and ex-Cloud9 player Jordan ‘n0thing’ Gilbert. Top Legendary emotes available in Free Fire as of now

Garena’s emotes Free Fires are a type of celebration used by players throughout a game. A person’s joy can be shown by tapping their preferred emoticon on the screen. However, the animation used in Free Fire emotes is not the same for all of them, since regular ones have simpler VFX whereas Legendary items have far greater effects.

As a result, Legendary emotes have a higher value and rarity in Free Fire. The majority of these valuable things are obtained during a special event in the game. Legendary emotes, as a result, aren’t accessible in the Free Fire Store and can only be found in the game’s Collection menu or during a live match.

Here are some of the rare and special ones available currently:

Selfie

Selfie emotes come in a variety of forms in several games, including Garena Free Fire. In December 2019, developers released the Selfie emote for Free Fire, which was met with instant adoration.

Despite being a Legendary item, the Selfie emote in Free Fire does not have outstanding motion. If players are seeking for a Victory emote, though, this is a good option.

Tea Time

Tea Time is one of the most popular Free Fire emotes in the game, with one of the best animations. It begins with the appearance of a blue chair and table for the in-game character to sit in, followed by the sipping of tea.

Power of Money

The Power of Money emote is one of the more fashionable Legendary Free Fire emotes. The in-game character pulls out two money guns and sprays notes all over the place in the emote’s animation.

Ground Punch

Ground Punch was just added to Free Fire as part of the Emote Party 2021 event as one of the uncommon awards. Despite the fact that it was quite difficult to obtain, some players were able to obtain the emote with the help of hundreds of diamonds.

Ground Punch is a Cobra expression in which the player’s fists are charged. When the charge is finished, the character throws a punch to the ground. The powerful punch produces a hypnotic purple-colored effect with snake-like special effects.

Make It Rain

Through a cooperation, Garena capitalised on the popularity of the pop culture phenomena Money Heist by introducing several products in Free Fire. The Make It Rain emote was another item added to the game as part of the Money Heist collaboration.

The emote has a decent animation, which shows the in-game character grabbing a cash bundle and turning it into a Chinese fan (shan). After that, the character throws it in the air to make it look like rain.
