Despite losing the first two rounds on their debut under the banner of the North American Organization, Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov and company bounced back early into the game with some daunting aggression on their offense, thanks to Abai “HObbit” Hasenov who set it up for Cloud9 in the very 3rd round converting it into a round win. It was yet again Cloud9’s Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov who scrapped the investment put up by the Outsiders for Dzhami “Jame” Ali’s AWP as the 20 year-old Russian picked up the 3 kills to force his opponents into hiding. No team really took off as they traded rounds back and forth with Cloud9 shy of just 1 round at the switch, 7:8.
Coming from the break, Cloud9 were able to go past the deficit along with a bonus round but the heroics from the duo of Jame and Timur “buster” Tulepov defied the odds when they pulled off a 2v4 clutch to stay afloat.
Outsiders started to look destitute and listless as HObbit, Timofey “interz” Yakushin and Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov secured 3 kills each in succession as their reinforcements never allowed their regional counterparts to secure avenue on their attack. Cloud9 were able to pack up Mirage 16:12 and now await for their round 2 opponents to be determined.
Jonathan, one of the star players from GodLike Esports BGMI roster, recently discussed about the team’s poor performance on one of his streams. He discussed some points and mentioned that the main reason for this slump is due to the lack of motivation within the team.
GodLike Esports is a massive esports roster in India and acquired the old roster of TSM India that has been representing them since the last year. The roster comprising of Jonathan, Clutchgod, Zgod and Neyoo was known as the most dominant team in India before PUBGM was banned.
This roster was also performing incredibly after the the launch of BGMI in India but recently, the team has been choking on pivotal moments and leading to early knockouts and ultimately, performing poor in tournaments.
GodLike Esports will be playing in the last round of BMOC and Jonathan was unsure about their performance in this crucial moment as well. Although the team needs to get to the top six slot, it seems to be a hefty task with the ongoing slump period.
The major reason for this lack in performance is apparently due to lesser morale and motivation within the team, which also makes Jonathan a little demotivated, as per one of the clips from his stream.
Jonathan was also asked if he will be changing teams due to this drop in performance but he stated that he will not be leaving the GodLike roster under any circumstances and will stick with the team through its good and bad phases.
The Valorant Champions Tour 2022 Stage 2 Challengers is all set to begin in North America from May 13 with a total of twelve teams in contention for the only two spots at the Stage 1 Masters event, to be held later this year in Copenhagen. The Masters event will be held on LAN at an undisclosed location (will be amended once declared) and will headline the second Major tournament of the VCT 2022 pro circuit.
— VALORANT Esports NA (@valesports_na) May 9, 2022
With that being said, VCT Stage 1 Challengers 1 in North America features a list of 12 teams who will battle out for the spots at the Stage 1 Masters. These 12 teams would be divided into two groups with six teams each. From every group, the top four teams would advance to the playoffs while the bottom two would get eliminated from the contest.
Group A
The Guard
XSET
NRG
TSM
100 Thieves
Ghost Gaming
Group B
OpTic Gaming
Cloud9
FaZe Clan
Luminosity Gaming
Evil Geniuses
Sentinels
The playoffs will feature a double-elimination bracket except for the losers and grand final, where the winners will be determined over a best of 5 results.
Cloud9, The Guard, OpTic Gaming, and XSET scored direct invitations while the other 8 made it to the main event from the Open Qualifiers. TSM FTX and NRG were one among the notable teams who were able to contain their consistency from the earlier season and eventually battled out the Open Qualifier 1 to move ahead while a new face joined the competition, The Guard, who were phenomenal at the Stage 1 Masters.
Led by Anthony “vanity” Malaspina, Cloud9 earned a direct invite to the event, thanks to their valiant effort showcased around the Stage 1 Challengers where the Los Angeles-based organization was denied a spot further by The Guard in their Lower Bracket run. Sentinels somehow managed to get through the brutal open qualifiers where they were able to dodge the fear of getting eliminated in the second.

American Social Media Star, Instagram Model, and popular streamer Corinna Kopf has been banned from Twitch once again only months after her return to the streaming platform.
After rising to popularity through YouTube, Corinna Kopf switched to Twitch and gained rapid traction on the platform. However, her Twitch career was rather short-lived as she was banned for a clip that was a year old at the time the suspension was delivered.
After her ban from Twitch, Corinna proceeded to sign an exclusive deal with Facebook Gaming and started streaming there instead.
She returned to Twitch in March 2022 after spending two years streaming on Facebook Gaming. Her IRL streams started gaining some serious traction from her loyal fan base before she found herself getting banned from the platform yet again.
While the reason behind the ban of Kopf was initially a mystery, the star later Tweeted a screenshot of an email that she had received from Twitch. According to the email, Kopf was banned from the platform for ‘inappropriate attire’. The email further states that the violation occurred in her profile, which is why many fans think that her profile picture could have been the reason behind the ban.
However, fans of the 26-year-old won’t be missing her for long, as the suspension is only for a day. Corinna Kopf will be free to stream on Twitch once again starting May 13, 2022.

The Legends Stage of PGL Antwerp will start on Saturday, May 14th. Much like the Challengers stage, the Legends stage will follow the Swiss format and teams will play Bo1s first, and only qualification/elimination matches will be Bo3s. The top 8 teams from the Legends Stage will advance to the playoffs, which will take place at the Antwerps Sportpaleis from 19th May – 22nd May.
All the teams that made it to the playoffs at PGL Stockholm are in contention for another shot at a CSGO major, albeit some with different rosters. Natus Vincere will be looking to defend their crown after their win at PGL Stockholm, but 2022 has been less than ideal for them as they have been unable to win any tournaments this year, losing to G2 at IEM Katowice 2022 and then to FaZe Clan at ESL Pro League S15.
The road will not be easy as Natus Vincere faces G2, their opponents from the final of PGL Stockholm, in the first game of the Legends Stage. FaZe too face ENCE, in a repeat of ESL Pro League S15 final while Cloud9 face Outsiders in a CIS powerhouse clash.
In a shocking turn of events for BGMI esports ecosystem in India, the beloved team of GodLike Esports and their star player Jonathan will not be playing in the first Pro Series after they fail to qualify from the first mixed qualifier event of BMOC 2022. Here is how this turn of events took place.
The roster of GodLike Esports was feared as one of the biggest and most dominating PUBGM/BGMI teams in India since the last three years. Players like Jonathan, Zgod and Neyoo have been dominating in India under the leadership of Clutchgod and guidance of Ghatak but in the past few months, things seem to be going sideways for the team.
GodLike Esports went into a huge slump right after the comeback of BGMI. They were performing well in some matches and scrimmages but their net performance was slowly going downhill due to consistent early knockouts.
Jonathan also opened up on this poor performance of GodLike esports stating that the team is demotivated right now and it has been leading to this change in their performance. He also jokingly mentioned that the GodLike Era (of dominance) has come to an end.
Today, GodLike Esports was put to the real test as they qualified for the fourth round of BMOC 2022 via the invitational route. They were mixed up with open qualified teams and were present in Group B along with the likes of Team Soul, Team XO and Entity Gaming.
Initally when the day begun, GodLike was in a good form and secured good points in the first two matches but the remaining for matches were a disaster with them struggling to make it to the top five spots.
This led to GodLike being eliminated at the end of the day on eighth spot. Team Soul and XO made it out of this stage and Entity also ended their run on the seventh spot today.
This is the first time since PUBG Mobile esports started that the dominating roster of GodLike Esports has failed to qualify for an official event in the first round itself.
