Fnatic and Paper Rex Win Their Valorant Masters Copenhagen Opening Games

The Valorant Champions Tour Masters Copenhagen Playoffs kicked off today with APAC’s number one seed Paper Rex taking on the Group A top seed Guild Esports. With the EMEA top seed Fnatic taking on the Group B #2 FunPlus Phoenix as the day’s second game.

The Group stage of VCT Masters Copenhagen was one of the most hype International tournaments ever, with games being incredibly close and the first set of playoffs matches delivered too.

Summary of Valorant Masters Copenhagen Knockout stage day 1:

  • Match 1: Paper Rex 2-0 Guild Esports
  • Match 2: Fnatic FPX

The first match started with Guild Esports choosing to play Ascent as their map choice playing as defenders. Paper Rex won eight rounds based on their solid flanks and the attack spearheaded by Jingg’s Raze.

Guild won the last three rounds to have a fighting chance in the second half to close out the half 8-4. The second half started with a close pistol round, but Benkai’s 4k helped Paper Rex win the pistol.

Post that, Paper Rex continued to hold off Guild’s attempt to attack and closed down the map 13-4 in a dominant fashion.

Paper Rex’s map choice Fracture looked like it would be the same, but Guild Esports managed to make a comeback, immediately shutting down Paper Rex’s attack attempts and limiting them to only six rounds in the first half.

Guild seemed in control in the second half, but Paper Rex quickly answered to draw the map in regulation again, forcing Overtime.

The Overtime started with Paper Rex on the attack, and they quickly took over the site flawlessly, winning the round. On defense, Paper Rex won the opening duels and promptly closed out the round, winning the round 14-12 and the series 2-0.

Guild Esports are now in the lower bracket and must win, while Paper Rex is in the upper bracket semifinals.

The Fnatic/FPX series started on Icebox, chosen by Fnatic. While attacking, Fnatic won the first two rounds, but the momentum FPX were on yesterday seemed to have carried on, and they quickly managed to shut down all the attack attempts by Fnatic closing to win seven rounds in a row.

Fnatic managed to scrape two out of the last three rounds to end the half 4-8. Being Fnatic’s map, it seemed Fnatic might lose it, and FPX might upset Fnatic in their first playoff match.

The second half started with Fnatic winning the pistol and the follow-up, while FPX won the follow-up round. Still, after that, the map was a Fnatic show with Boaster, Derke, and Mistic completely shutting down any attack attempts by FPX to make a successful comeback winning their map choice 13-10.

FPX’s Haven started with Fnatic on the attack, and the teams exchanged quick two rounds to make the scoreline 2-2. But a clutch from Derke in the third round helped Fnatic shift the momentum towards Fnatic, and they completely rolled over FPX and won the next eight rounds to finish the half 10-2.

The second half had FPX winning the force buy second round and an anti-eco third, but it was to no avail, and Fnatic quickly closed the map 13-4 and the series 2-0.

With this, Fnatic will play Paper Rex in the upper semifinals on Sunday, while Guild will play FPX in an elimination game.

Tomorrow, the second set of opening matches will be played with DRX taking on Leviatan and Optic Gaming taking on XSET.

Popular Brazilian Football Club Corinthians Looking To Enter CS:GO

0

Counter Strike Esports in Brazil is undoubtedly on the rise ever since the game’s launch. The region has quite notable players under its belt with the likes of Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga and Lincoln “fnx” Lau having rocked the scene with their daunting achievements.

The latter has indeed sparked a flame among the Brazilian youth with youngsters seizing every possible opportunity to bolster the region’s stakes over other continents.

A few days ago, Sao Paulo based popular football club Corinthians Paulista tweeted about their potential entry to the Esports of Valve’s First Person Tactical shooter. No concrete information was shared at the time of publication although they are actively looking to assemble a team with a goal to further develop in their region.

Corinthians Paulista are currently invested in Free Fire, a Battle Royale game application as they now look to invest in the Esports of Counter Strike:Global Offensive after witnessing an impeccable support from the Brazilian CS:GO community.

This indeed allowed them to weigh up their options and chart a course to supporting a set of like-minded individuals who share the same dedication towards the game.

The announcement was made from their Free Fire Twitter account and we may soon come across a dedicated Corinthians Paulista CS:GO force.

Valve made a duped CSGO skin for the first time since 2016

For the first time in eight years, CS:GO has reportedly duped one of their famous and rare skins.

Nearly a month ago, the most expensive inventory in Counter Strike : Global Offensive worth around $2 million was hacked which ranged from a plethora of Blue Gem items to several units of AWP | Souvenir Dragon Lore.

Every item which HFB lost in the scam was relocated back to his inventory with several trades being undone by Steam Support. His items which were listed on BUFF and sold to the public were successfully retrieved although it forced the website to issue refunds. People who bought HFB’s items from the Steam community market were given no compensation despite legitimately getting the items in exchange for steam wallet funds.

Among HFB’s collection was a Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore which still awaits tracking as its new owner successfully dodged Valve’s detection technique who reportedly has either packed the skin up in a storage container or has been traded off through several burner Steam accounts.

For the first time since 2016, Valve has duped the missing Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore to be delivered to HFB. As far as today, the idea of duping was scrapped by CS:GO and Valve but the current circumstance had the developers commit to returning the lost item.

The duped item is an AWP | Souvenir Dragon Lore with a float value of 0.0677 which has been ruled out as the most expensive item from HFB’s inventory. It was sold for a total of $134,000 on the chinese marketplace Buff163 and hasn’t been tracked down since.

With the above skin duped by Valve, there are now 2 of them on the planet, one with HFB and the other which still exists somewhere and under the hold of its new owner.

Is new Bloodborne game coming in 2023

0

Bloodborne was one of those titles that left us wanting for more. FromSoftware in collaboration with Sony exclusively launched the title for their flagship console at the time i.e the PlayStation 4.

However as time as passed by, the game has taken a different route, what looked like a title that will be there for years to come in the form of sequels and DLCs, it completely went dark, and gamers have dreaded for a new Bloodborne game ever since.

Bloodborne was a freshly minted entry in the dark gruesome gothic horror genre, which was the main reason for its mass appeal , there has rarely been any game that was able to live upto that kind of hype in PS4 or PS5 for the matter.

Will there be a Bloodborne 2?

Neither FromSoftware nor Sony have straightforwardly shown that a Bloodborne 2 is being developed, nor have they denied it.

However games will frequently end up profound into improvement prior to being uncovered, this may not be the situation with an imminent Bloodborne 2. In a new edition, Hidetaka Miyazaki examined FromSoftware’s tentative arrangements and its continuous improvement endeavors.

In any case, FromSoftware’s next project likely in a beginning of a new title. However it’s speculatively conceivable that a spin-off might be obtained out to another studio like with the redo of Demon’s Souls, this could make for something else entirely should From Software not be the studio creating Bloodborne 2.

Since the dawn of the release of Genshin Impact, players of the open-world action RPG by miHoYo have continually struggled to battle with the most efficient due to the limited number of team slots available in the game.

While the four slots currently available in the game to assign teams might seem fine to newer players, it can be quite the limitation for experienced players who like to shuffle around with their team comps.

Luckily, it seems that the limited team comps will no longer be a problem in Genshin Impact. According to recent leaks, HoYoverse is planning to fix that problem with the release of Genshin Impact 3.0.

Alongside the release of Sumeru in Genshin Impact 3.0, the update will also increase the number of team slots from four to ten, as per leaks.

This update is certain to come as a blessing for most Genshin Impact fans out there who struggle with the limited number of team slots in the game. Players will now have the freedom to set aside separate teams for boss fights, questing, increasing friendship levels, and much more.

The increase in the number of team slots in Genshin Impact has also been referred to as one of the biggest improvements in the quality of life by many avid Genshin Impact players out there.

However, do note that all of these are currently leaks and haven’t been confirmed by HoYoverse as of yet, which means that the news should be taken with a grain of salt.

Genshin Impact is an open-world action RPG developed and published by miHoYo in September 2020. The title is currently available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Android, and iOS devices.

The 5.01 update has just arrived at Valorant, and it has brought with it a bunch of new changes to the competitive shooter by Riot Games. Alongside Agent improvements that include buffs to Yoru, Phoenix, and KAY/O, the new Valorant update also introduces Pearl to the competitive queues.

However, a change that has managed to grab the attention of the curious eyes of many Valorant fans out there is the new ‘Smurf’ detection system that Valorant 5.01 has brought to the game.

The newly implemented Smurf detection functionality will aim to tackle the existing smurfing problem in Valorant by matching new players and accounts with other players of similar skill levels at a much more rapid pace than before.

However, these changes haven’t been introduced to the global servers as of yet. Currently, these Smurfing countermeasures have only been implemented in North American servers, and if it works out well, it will likely be added to the global servers in a future update.

“We’re testing this change in North America first, to make sure everything is working correctly before a global rollout.,” the devs said in a statement.

In fact, the testing of these new features have already started in the North American servers on July 11th.

Valorant fans across the world will be eagerly looking forward to seeing this change being implemented globally, as it can potentially solve a major problem in the community that has haunted new and inexperienced players alike.

Interested fans can read all about this new Smurf detection functionality, the Agent changes, bug fixes, and much more that patch 5.01 has brought to the game by going to the official patch notes page.
