PS Plus July 2022 games announced: All free PS5 & PS4 games revealed

0

Game subscription services have gained in popularity over the past few years. This subscription model has really taken off in the past few months. With the release of Xbox game pass, everyone has seen its true potential and how it can be an economical solution for gamers and developers.

With monthly rentals at an extreme low price, owning the pass lets the gamers access to the game for an entire month, where most games aren’t that exciting but a few of them are the real AAA titles that would have really hurt our pockets to own completely. Given that a month would suffice most gamers to complete an average AAA story driven title at a leisurely pace.

Sony is known to charge significant amount for their exclusive titles but having a subscription based model would make a lot more people willing to get a PlayStation. Their business is heavily reliant on surcharging games to make up for the loss they incur with selling the hardware.

For the first month of PS Plus, the following games are lined up:

  • Stray — Already a confirmed addition for July 2022
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade + Episode INTERmission
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Assassin’s Creed Unity
  • Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry
  • Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection
  • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

However this is a leak from a not so reliable source which makes it sketchy at best. If it turns out to be true then AC fans are in for a treat now that some of the most well received AC titles are on the line.

Subscription services are often criticized to not bring acclaimed titles but if Sony continues to deliver 2-3 AAA titles every month, then it will be worth every penny.

0

TikTok star Bella Poarch single ‘Build A B*tch’ has turned some heads when it dropped but we were deprived of a music video of her new song, until today. ‘Dolls’ as she has named it, is the music video for her single featuring some of internet’s biggest celebrities.

Her first song was a sensation, racking up over 400 million views on YouTube, not to mention the millions of features across TikTok and reels on Instagram and Facebook. Her latest song ‘Dolls’ is making it was to follow up on the success of its predecessor.

What has called for more attention is that, her new music video features more than one internet personality, with Dream, Valkyrae, Ludwig and more as opposed her last video which only had Rae in it.

The music video builds on the storyline set by her previous song ‘Build A B****’ where she managed to escape from the factory where she was built. The new video finds Bella on a journey to track down those responsible for the factories along with her friends who happen to be internet personalities themselves.

Overall, the song as well as the video is extremely well received by the community which makes it safe to assume that this video will reach the same heights of success as its predecessor did.

100 Thieves drop several employees

One of the most prominent esports organisation in the world 100 Thieves has dropped over a dozen employees working across their social media, content and general staff for what looks like a organisation wide downsizing.

Speculations arose that more employees are on their way out of the org but nothing can be confirmed as of now. These employees were a mix of both fresh recruits and old guards and its fair to say a lot of people were caught off guard with this sudden downsizing.

Mike Aranksy was one of the big names who were laid off, having spent 4 years with the organisation. Almost all employees thanked the org for their time and experience there but none of them states the reason behind this mass layoff.

“From being a fan for years to working at the company and meeting amazing people, it’s been an absolute pleasure,” former editor Alec Daughtry said.

“I am so grateful for this opportunity and for the chance to meet such amazing people,” “I’ll truly never forget the special moments I shared with this team.” former 100 Thieves thumbnail designer Damian said.

100 Thieves were ranked the 2nd most valuable esports organisation in the world which makes this layoff questionable if it was for economic reasons. However, this news comes following the lay-off by TSM, indicating worrying times for the esports industry.

The Last opening match of the Quarterfinal was VCT NA Challengers Stage 2 rematch.

Summary of Knockout Stage day 2 of Valorant Champions Tour Masters Copenhagen:

  • Leviatan 1-2 DRX
  • XSET 0-2 Optic Gaming

The first match started with the best team from Group Stage DRX taking on the LATAM #1 seed Leviatan. The map veto started with Leviatan banning Fracture, DRX banned Split, and Leviatan chose to play Ascent while DRX picked Breeze. The Decider was Haven after Leviatan banned Icebox and DRX banned Bind.

Leviatan’s map pick started one-sided with Leviatan on defense shutting down DRX again and again, winning the duels and retaking with perfection, winning the half 11-1.

The second half of the map started shifting towards DRX, but the 10-round differential was too much for

DRX to come back, and they lost the game 6-13.

DRX on Breeze displayed why they are a top team winning the first six rounds on the attack, but Leviatan managed to stop the bleeding, winning four of the next 12 rounds to close the half 4-8.

The second half was the same, and DRX managed to decimate Leviatan’s attack completely to close the second map 1-1.

The decider, Haven, started with Leviatan winning the first two rounds, but the game seemed to be in DRX’s favor, with DRX winning nine matches in a row to close the half 9-3.

The second half was different, with Leviatan making a comeback and limiting DRX to only three rounds before reaching the finals round. The final round had DRX on map point and Leviatan looking strong with the momentum on their side. But Buzz and MaKo held off Leviatan to win games 13-11 and the series 2-1.

The game was a remarkable comeback from DRX, with them coming back from a heartbreaking loss to Ascent to win the series. Leviatan showed the world what they are capable of and had an absolute chance of winning the game.

The second game was a NA showdown with XSET. The NA #1 playing Optic Gaming, the NA #2 and the maps chosen were Haven, Bind, and Ascent, with XSET choosing the first map.

XSET’s map pick Haven started heavily on Optic Gaming’s side, with Optic displaying great attack prowess, winning the half 10-2 easily. The second half had XSET starting well, but Optic Gaming found answers to XSET’s attack, winning the first map 13-7.

Optic’s Bind started with both teams exchanging rounds at the start, with XSET winning three out of the five, but Optic started rolling on attack and won six additional rounds to win the half 8-4.

The second half started with Optic Gaming winning the pistol round, but XSET managed to anti-eco them and win the follow-up.

Optic Gaming then managed to win the four rounds in a row to win the map 13-6 and win the game 2-0.

With this victory, Optic Gaming would play DRX the day after in the upper semifinals, and tomorrow XSET would play Leviatan in an elimination game.

TSM CEO Andy Dinh Fined $75,000 By Riot Games For Bullying

0

Renowned esports organization Team SoloMid (TSM) has been fined $75,00 by Riot Games following an investigation by the video game company on allegations against TSM CEO Andy ‘Reginald’ Dinh for disparaging and bullying behavior. Reginald has also been subjected to a two-year probation by Riot Games on account of the same allegations.

Following the investigation, the company claims to have found evidence of verbal abuse which goes in direct violation of the LCS rules on Harassment and Profanity & Hate Speech.

Reginald was fined three times the maximum fine due to the fact that his abuse and misconduct was stretched over multiple years.

“The League believes that there was a pattern and practice of disparaging and bullying behavior exhibited by Andy Dinh towards TSM players and staff members,” Riot said in a statement.

The punishment follows the investigation by Riot Games that initially began in November 2021, with involvement from the Legends Championship Series and alongside an independent law firm.

During the two year probationary period of Reginald, all TSM staff members and employees will have access to an anonymous tip line through which they can report potential instances of abusive conduct by the TSM CEO.

“In addition, through the Players’ Association, the monitor will check in with current TSM League of Legends players and report any potential rule violations to the League for follow-up,” the statement reads. “TSM will be required to provide notice, in a form provided by the League, to all existing TSM players and staff, and any new hires during the probation period, explaining the existence and purpose of the tip line.”

Furthermore, Riot has also ordered Reginald to complete sensitivity training and executive coaching from a provider approved by the LCS and unaffiliated with TSM. He will also have to provide evidence of the same within sixty days.

India’s Entity Gaming qualifies for its first ever DOTA2 Major with its European roster

0

Entity Gaming has made their way into its first ever DOTA 2 Major after winning a tiebreaker series against Team Secret in the Western Europe (WEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 3: Division 1. After a heated series of best-of-three, Entity Gaming will make its first major appearance at PGL Arlington Major 2022.

Entity Gaming is an Indian esports organization that signed the European roster of Creepwave to expand into Europe back in November 2021. This came after the Indian roster was dropped in 2019 after ESL Premiership India. This EU roster has been making a name for themselves and after a dominating run, they have managed to qualify for Arlington Major 2022.

Entity was pitched against Team Secret in Western Europe (WEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 3: Division 1 to fight for the fourth and final spot that may give the winners an entry to the DOTA 2 Major.

The first game was swinged to their side by Team Secret after their roster was able to overwhelm Entity with a much more teamfight centred composition which ultimately led to a victory in the late game.

The second game started with a perfect balance as both the teams were engaging occasionally but Entity Gaming was able to win, owing it to the massive chunk of damage dealt by Kataomi on Zeus.

Entity Gaming was in the favour for third game as they were able to generate a good lead on the early advantages. Team Secret did not falter but at the end, Entity Gaming was able to snatch the victory as well as the sweet spot at PGL Arlington Major 2022.

How to Get The Riot Gun Buddy in Valorant

The mythical Riot Gun buddy is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after items in Valorant. It is one of the rarest items in the entire game and only a few players in the world handpicked by Riot employees have the Riot Gun Buddy in Valorant.

If you’re looking to get a Riot Gun Budd in Valorant for yourself, you’re in for a rough ride. While it’s possible to get a Riot Gun Buddy in Valorant, it’s extremely rare and the chances of you obtaining one are pretty slim.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at how you can get the Riot Gun Buddy in Valorant.

Valorant: How to Get a Riot Gun Buddy

Currently, there’s only one way to get the Riot Gun Buddy in Valorant, and that is through a Riot employee. However, simply asking for one won’t get you the Gun Buddy. On the contrary, asking for a Riot Gun Buddy from an employee can adversely affect your chances of obtaining one.

So how do you obtain the Riot Gun Buddy?

The simplest answer would be to always remain on your best behavior when playing Valorant.

You never know when you get matched with Riot Employees on your team, and if you do, they might take note of your good behavior in-game and give you the Riot Gun Buddy.

As stated in an official blog post by Riot Games, “If you’re looking to obtain the ever-popular Fist Bump Gun Buddy, there’s only one surefire way to get it: demonstrate good sportsmanship while in a match with a Riot employee.”

Something to take note of here is that a Riot Games employee will never sell a Riot Gun Buddy to you. If someone is claiming to be an employee and offering you a Riot Gun Buddy for a price, then it almost certainly is a scam.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get the Riot Gun Buddy in Valorant.

Valorant is a 5v5 competitive first-person shooter that was developed and published by Riot Games in June 2020. The title is available to play exclusively on PC, with a separate mobile version currently in the works.
