Amouranth and BrookeAB shares experience with stalkers

0

Amouranth and BrookeAB are two extremely well known Twitch streamers, the former being just shy of the mark for the most followed female Twitch streamer and the later being a prominent content creator/gamer for one of the biggest esports organizations, namely 100 Thieves.

Both streamers boast massive fan following which may look great on paper but comes with its fair share of troubles as both of them had to face the serious problem that has been plaguing not just Twitch but IRL as well. Stalkers!, Amouranth and BrookeAB came across stalkers that made their lives miserable. The pair shared their terrible experiences and how they dealt with them.

“In live streams, they see into your home, into your bedroom, and it feels very personal with them,” “I think that is what contributes to a lot of the stalking: They feel like they know you.” says Amouranth.

BrookeAB also explained that she once faced a stalker that threated to light her house on fire which rattled her to the point that she had to cancel her Coachella trip just to be safe.

These incidents are a fraction of a fraction of what women on Twitch as well as IRL are facing on a daily basis. Several streamers have reported getting doxed and later stalked to the point that makes their life miserable, despite their best attempts to keep their personal details kept away from the world.

We urge everyone to speak up when any such activity happen in your sight as it may stop something more dangerous right in its track.

Optic Gaming Valorant’s future in troubled waters

0

Optic Gaming Valorant is North America’s top team in Valorant And is one of the favorites going into any tournament in the last year. Optic Gaming is strong to the core, be it Marved’s insane controller plays, Yay’s Chamber dominance, FNS’s calling, Crashies clutches, or Victor’s entry. Optic Gaming has been looking like a top 3 team in the world.

The team started as Team Envy, who signed “Together we are terrific.” with aKis, c4Lypso, FNS, mummAy, and kaboose. The team was a constant contender in North America but played second fiddle to most teams, never attaining the success they deserved.

Soon after, Victor, aka food and crashies, joined the roster, and the team started to gain momentum, winning the first VCT NA Challengers but coming in fourth place at VCT NA Masters. The team seemed to be doing well but never really won much.

With Yay and Marved joining in August of 2021, Team Envy looked strong, and with the new roster, they managed to upset Sentinels at VCT Masters 2 Berlin to place second in the tournament. This was their top finish in 2021.

Now 2021 came around, and soon after, Team Envy rebranded to Optic Gaming, and with the new name, the team looked unstoppable. They felt unbeatable. With El Diablo on Chamber, the new Optic Gaming looked like they could beat them all.

Even though the second place finishes at Stage 1 VCT NA Challengers, With the first Masters starting, Optic Gaming lost the first match but returned to qualify for Playoffs. The Playoff Optic Gaming was different.

They beat the Guard, DRX, Zeta Division, and LOUD to lift the Reykjavik trophy.

The fate repeated at Valorant Masters Copenhagen, but this time, Optic Gaming fell to the eventual Champions FPX in a close-fought series to place 3rd in the tournament.

But a solid first place at Reykjavik and the two second-place finishes at VCT NA Challengers made Optic Gaming the first team to qualify for Valorant Champions 2022. With their strong performance and synergy, they are sure-shot contenders to become the best team in the world.

The hurdle comes to post that with Victor Wong and Austin “Crashies” Robert’s contract expiring mid-September, it seems the team would need to renew the contract of these players before the Americas 2023 league if they wish to continue playing with the same squad.

The team has confirmed their wish to continue with the same players, but in case of Optic Gaming is not the team selected for the Americas League 2021, the player’s future will be endangered. This is a dicey spot to be in, and the news about selection would come before the Valorant Champions; we hope it all works out well.

Valorant: Astral Clash suspends Team Fallacy due to account sharing investigation

0

In response to accusations of account sharing during tournament play made against Team Fallacy and one of their players, the Astral Clash competition’s administrators today rendered a decision regarding Team Fallacy’s competitive status.

A few days after the accusations against Team Fallacy were made, the organizer of the all-female VALORANT tournament, Gen.G, posted a competitive ruling in which they shared that Riot was investigating the account sharing accusations and that Team Fallacy would be suspended from competing in the Astral Clash tournament while that investigation took place.

Astral Clash suspends Team Fallacy

Gen.G also shared that Team Fallacy would be allowed to participate in the tournament after Riot completed its investigation.

MarsArxa, a member of Team Fallacy, was accused of allowing her boyfriend, former TSM Academy player Nate “payen” Lopez, to play on her account throughout “the entirety” of the Astral Clash tournament. The initial accusation originated from a Google document in which MarsArxa was accused of allowing Nate “payen” Lopez to use her account. It is not apparent who was responsible for writing the document.

In particular, there was a film that supported the charges that were included in the document. In this clip, the accused player was in a one-on-five situation in a match versus Dignitas during the Last Chance Qualifier for Astral Clash 2022.

As stated, a “mediocre-at-best” response was given by the team after the player eliminated all five foes. The player who made the clutch did not provide a response to the opponent’s question.

“We don’t know what sort of individual says absolutely nothing after winning a 1v5 against a well-respected signed squad,” the doc said in the statement. “We don’t know what kind of person that is.”

Instead of Team Fallacy, Native Gaming White will be traveling to Los Angeles this weekend. After suffering a defeat at the hands of Team Fallacy in the tournament’s semi-finals, NGW was eliminated from contention. As a result of Team Fallacy’s disqualification, NGW has advanced from third to fourth place to second place, and they will now have the opportunity to compete in the main event.

They have further emphasized that the company’s data and other privacy matters and that the data are not handled irresponsibly.

Krafton will also be meeting with MeitY officials in the provided time period to present such evidence and prove their innocence in this case. The provided time is very crucial for BGMI developers as it decides the fate of BGMI.

BGMI community in India is eagerly waiting for the officials to solve this matter and bring back the India’s biggest mobile game. There is also a strong possibility that BGMI might get unbanned in the future.

India Today Gaming’s ESPL LAN final postponed indefinitely

India Today Gaming ESPL Season Two has been postponed indefinitely following the ban order imposed by Indian government on Krafton’s flagship game Battlegrounds Mobile India. The organizers were planning to hold a LAN final from 1st August but this plan has changed indefintely.

Esports Premier League (ESPL) is one of the premier esports leagues in India. Its second season shifted from Free Fire to BGMI and two qualifier routes were declared for this event.

After a long fight of around one month, the top sixteen teams were franchised and they were set to fight in a grand LAN finale from August 1. This plan is now abruptly changed since Indian government imposed a ban on BGMI.

ESPL LAN Finals has a lot at stake with a prize pool of ₹1 crore and several franchised teams playing at the same spot. While BGMI is banned, it is practically impossible to host a LAN event at such a big scale and hence, the organizers have decided to postpone it.

Where to find Boogie Bombs in Fortnite and how to use them?

Boogie Bomb was first introduced in 2017 with the Fortnite Season 2 update. However, the No Sweat Summer event has brought it back again. Now you can get 15,000 XP just by completing a quest where you have to make the opponent dance with Boogie Bombs. For that, you need to know where to find out Boogie Bombs and how to use them to complete the quest. Keep reading this article till the end to discern.

Where to find Boogie Bombs?

There isn’t any specific spot to find out the Boogie Bombs. Even though you can find them anywhere in the chests, grounds, or supply drops spawned around the whole map, the Rave Cave is a hotspot to find Boogie Bombs.

How to use Boogie Bomb?

You just need to be a bit stealthy to complete the quest. First of all, you need to find out an area where fighting has already started between players. Maintain a safe distance and throw the Boogie Bomb on your enemy. Instantly, your opponents will start dancing and they can’t shoot or do anything else. It lasts for five seconds. However, the opponents won’t take any hit from the bomb.

To complete the quest, you need to make three opponents dance with Boogie Bombs.

Massive changes to Chamber’s Rendezvous ability hit PBE

0

After weeks of fans clamoring with the developers of the first-person shooter game to nerf the game’s runaway favorite agent, Jeff Landa of Riot Games has released PBE nerfs to Chamber.

To a significant extent, Chamber is the most overpowered agent that Valorant has to offer; this is shown by the fact that he dominates the game’s meta in both ranked and professional play settings.

Since then, players from all around the Valorant community have been calling for more severe punishments, and we’ve heard that Riot Games has successfully tested out certain nerfs that are going to be applied across Chamber’s abilities, most notably to his Rendezvous teleport. The first set of changes are to Chamber’s signature ability, which is known as “Rendezvous,” and they have been implemented.

The base and recall cooldowns for this ability have each been increased from twenty seconds to thirty seconds, a change that represents a fifty-percent increase. The cooldown will be increased to a longer length of 45 seconds in order to account for the change that occurs when an anchor is destroyed and its radius is reduced from 21 meters to 15 meters.

As was previously indicated, the duration of the cooldown for the Chamber’s teleportation ability, Rendezvous, will be increased. The cooldown for the Rendezvous used to be 20 seconds, but it has recently been extended to 30 seconds in order to account for balance changes.

Because of this, there will be a longer interval of time between the initial setting of the teleport and the point at which it can be utilized again. Additionally, the range of Chamber’s teleport has been expanded to a larger radius. The distance he is able to teleport is drastically reduced as a consequence of the drop in range from 21 meters to 15 meters.

The most recent patch, which highlighted the nerfs that will be applied to the game, may have caused Chamber’s Rendezvous to suffer a reduction in both the scope of his ability and the number of times it can be used.

The developers at Riot have made adjustments to all of Chamber’s abilities, including the number of points required to charge his ultimate ability, the cost of each Headhunter bullet, and, of course, the amount of time it takes for his teleport ability to cool down after being used.

Since his entrance in November 2021, he has established himself as a comfortable favorite in terms of pick rate and win rate, particularly in the most recent Masters Copenhagen event. In particular, his win rate has been extremely impressive. This is especially due to the fact that he has a high percentage of victories overall.

The destructive force of fire is the primary focus of his abilities, but utility comes in a close second. However, in light of his overall power level, the player base of the game has been demanding a large power reduction for some time now. The reason for this demand is his overall power level.

RENDEZVOUS (E)

  • Base Cooldown increased 20s >>> 30s
  • Recall Cooldown increased 20s >>> 30s
  • Cooldown set to 45s whenever a Rendezvous anchor is destroyed
  • Radius Size decreased 21m >>> 15m

CSGO Banned In Indonesia After Steam Services Were Restricted In The Country

Some hours ago a piece of news made headlines on media sites about several digital services including the likes of Steam, Epic, Battlenet, and PayPal getting banned in the country.

The ban was first reported by Esports Organisation, Team Secret via Twitter and Facebook where they shared a picture of the ban notice while visiting the above-mentioned sites. Since then many other Indonesian players and professionals have come forward and tweeted about the ban on gaming services affecting their businesses and careers.

Coming to CSGO, since the Steam services were banned players are not able to access their steam accounts online.

Although the offline mode still works, the online features of the steam client are disabled in that mode meaning players will not be to access CSGO servers online which includes both official and dedicated community servers.

The game might still function properly in the lan mode but the in-game skins and inventory won’t load.

Many players with in-game skins worth more than hundreds of dollars are afraid to lose access to their skins and game. Since both the Steam Market and Trading are unavailable currently, players will be hard pressed to withdraw or cash in their skins.

Why Is CSGO Banned In Indonesia?

While the main reason for the ban is still unknown as the story is still unfolding, the primary cause of the ban is believed to be the new IT rules that the Ministry of Information implemented back in 2020.

The new regulation required local and international internet services to officially register as an Electronic Systems Provider (PSE), for the purposes of cyber security and user protection, on November 24th, 2020. Failure to comply would result in an operational ban in the country.

However, this information is not officially confirmed yet and the whole situation is still a developing story, so stay tuned.
