PMGC 2022 League Group Red Day 2: Overall Standings, Results and more

The second day of PMGC 2022 league stage featuring the group red ended with the same team at the top of the overall leaderboard. Influence Chemin Esports had a great day on the battleground and managed to increased their lead from other teams. The team holds a total of 170 points.

Buriram United Esports finished at the second spot with 137 points followed by S2G Esports at third spot with 125 points. S2G Esports took two chicken dinners on the second day whereas Influence Chemin, Bigetron Red Aliens, Buriram United and DRS Gaming took single chicken dinners.

PMGC 2022 League Stage Format

PMGC 2022 will witness two major phases, league stage and grand finals. A total of 48 teams will be competing in the league stage out of which the best 13 teams will compete with 3 other invited teams in the grand finals. The league stage will feature a prize pool of $2,500,000 USD whereas the grand finals will have a prize pool of $1,500,000 USD.

Each group in the PMGC 2022 league stage will compete for one week and will have 4 match days. Each matchday will consists of 6 matches for a total of 24 matches per week. The top three teams will from each group will directly qualify for the grand finals. Whereas, 4th to 11th placed teams of each group will advance through the survival stage. The teams finishing in the bottom five spot will be eliminated from the event.

Skyesports reveals Indian Invites For SEA Championship

The majority of the VCT regions haven’t heard much since Valorant franchising began. The Asia-Pacific area is one that has ensured that competition has not become extinct.

One of the most important areas for the game has been South East Asia, which has seen an incredible number of people sign up to play. Skyesports has just revealed the details of their upcoming competition, which will take place very soon.

Riot and Skyesports, which were responsible for hosting the APAC VCT matches in the past, will officially host the event and make it the first phase of the VCT Offseason for the Southeast Asia region.

Chennai-based Skyesports will host its first SEA-exclusive tournament. As a result of the collaboration that it has formed with Ampverse, Skyesports has announced that it would contribute a total of one million dollars to the prize pools of the next online and LAN competitions that will take place in Southeast Asia between the years 2022 and 2023.

Through Instagram and Twitter, Skyesports today announced a 4-team event that will serve as a qualifier for the SEA Playoffs. Two among the four would march onto the said playoffs event and they are :

  1. Global Esports (God Squad)
  2. Revenant Esports
  3. Enigma Gaming
  4. Velocity Gaming

The schedule for the same is yet to be announced by the event organizers. Global Esports or God Squad are yet to announce their roster for the Skyesports SEA Championship as they currently field 11 players on their active Valorant squad.

How to register for the Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022?

Registrations for the Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022, one of India’s biggest esports tournaments for the mobile MOBA title, are underway until Nov. 18. You can register with your squad right now for a shot at the glamourous trophy and a share of the huge Rs. 22,50,000 prize pool.

Skyesports has partnered with The Pokémon Company to bring the Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022. The tournament features open-for-all qualifiers for six different zones across India. Additionally, the National Finals of the Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022 will happen as a LAN event at the Skyesports Championship 4.0 in Mumbai.

Who is eligible to register for the Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022?

All players above the age of 16 years old and residing in India can register for the tournament.

Players have to select one of six zones while registering for the tournament. These zones are as follows:

⦁ North Zone: Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Ladakh, and Jammu and Kashmir
⦁ East Zone: Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal

⦁ West Zone: Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Dadra and Nagar / Haveli / Daman and Diu
⦁ South Zone: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry
⦁ Central Zone: Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand
⦁ North East Zone: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim

Each team must have at least five players. You can add two more optional substitute players as well.

How to register?

You can register for the Pokémon UNITE India Open 2022 on the official Skyesports website. Make sure to fill out the form correctly. Players are also required to upload a valid Address Proof to ascertain their identities and location of residence.

Once you have filled out the form, check the tick box for the terms and conditions after reading them. Then, click on Submit.

After registering, make sure to join the Skyesports India Discord server for communication regarding the qualifiers and schedule. The Zonal Qualifiers will begin on Nov. 21.

Andrew Tate, the controversial fighter turned internet personality turned into a Muslin just a month ago and the community had several takes on his decision, however, when True Geordie was asked about a potential fight, he responded with “I would gladly blow myself up if I could take that sh*tbag with us. If he really wants to prove it, do the right thing.”.

The statement ever since has gone viral which has resulted in him getting banned. The community agreed on the fact that such comments are aggressively Islamophobic and advances established stereotypes.

Following the comment, it did not take long for Twitch to take action and now True Geordie is banned for an indefinite period of time.

Soon afterwards he posted an apology video explaining his actions and promising to not repeat such behaviour before claiming that what he said was absolutely due to the head of the moment. The VCT Game Changers Championship starts on November 15 and will feature some of the greatest female-led teams from across the world lock horns.

Riot Games developed Valorant Champions Tour Game Changers to provide additional chances and exposure for women and other underrepresented genders in Valorant esports. The competitive Valorant community is vast and multinational, and Game Changers emphasizes this.

The inaugural international women’s VALORANT LAN event will include eight teams competing over six days for a $500,000 prize pool. Every match will be played using the best-of-three format, with the exception of the championship match, which will use the best-of-five format and take place on Sunday, November 20.

Shopify Rebellion GC, also from North America, will be joining Cloud9 White as a participant in the Berlin event. Shopify Rebellion GC qualified for the tournament by amassing enough Circuit Points in second place behind Cloud9 White.

E-nuggets Gaming App Fraud: ED freezes Bitcoins worth Rs 22.81 Crore

A month ago Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided several locations around Kolkata and recovered crores of cash. Later, the Detective Department of Kolkata Police arrested Aamir Khan, the developer of the E-nuggets gaming app from the UP. However, the whole fraud money wasn’t recovered as numerous accounts were used to launder the money.

The Enforcement Directorate reported on 11th November, as a part of the investigation they searched wallet and user IDs that were connected to the Binance crypto exchange.

According to the federal investigation agency, they have frozen 150.22 Bitcoins which are equivalent to Rs 22.82 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED mentioned that there were more than 300 accounts/user IDs which were used to launder the money.

Apart from that, ED has also registered a money laundering case against E-nuggets and its promoters.

After collecting sizeable amount from the public, all of the sudden, the withdrawal from the said App, was stopped, on one pretext or the other. Thereafter, all data including profile information was wiped off from the said App servers.

It was revealed during investigation that multiple accounts (more than 300) were used to launder the money. Proceeds were also used to purchase Crypto currencies.

Enforcement Directorate

Here are the key points of the investigation conducted against Aamir Khan & associates:

  • Rs 17.32 Crore cash was found and seized from the residential premises of Aamir Khan.
  • 85.91870554 Bitcoins equivalent to USD 16,74,255.7 (Then valued at Rs 13.56 Cr approx as per market exchange rate) found in balance in Binance Exchange was frozen.
  • Cryptocurrencies [WRX (utility token of WazirX) and USDT] equivalent to Rs 47.64 Lakhs were frozen in WazirX Accounts.
  • The amount of Rs 5.47 Crore as found in the bank account of Aamir Khan and his accomplice have been frozen.
  • Cash amounting to Rs 1.65 Crore and 44.5 Bitcoins (then valued at Rs 7.12 Crore) were seized and frozen from the residential premises of Romen Agarwal.
  • Romen Agarwal was arrested who is actively involved in inter/intra country transactions related to the transfer of ill-gotten money within & outside the countries received from criminals. He is currently under Judicial Custody.

So far, ED has seized a total of Rs 68.42 crore during investigations under the PMLA.
