June 2025 marks the fifth anniversary of Valorant’s launch, and Riot Games is commemorating the milestone with a series of in-game events offering players a chance to earn some free rewards.
The 5-Year Event Pass in Valorant includes a bunch of free rewards, including Player Cards, Gun Buddies, and more, that players can obtain by simply playing the game. But that’s not all, since there’s also another exciting event for players looking to grind their Valorant Battle Passes and reach the max tier as quickly as possible.
The Squad XP Boost event is a recurring Valorant event that we’ve previously seen on multiple occasions throughout the game’s history. The event enables players to accumulate XP at a rapid pace by playing alongside their friends.
Valorant Squad XP Boost Event Explained
Throughout the 5-Year Event Pass, Valorant players will be able to earn loads of additional XP with the Squad XP Boost. But how does it work?
During the event period, you can party up with your friends and queue for any game mode to receive additional XP for your Battle Pass (or event pass). The amount of bonus XP depends on the number of friends that you play with.
Here’s a breakdown of the XP Boost percentages available during the event:
- 2 Players: +8% XP Boost
- 3 Players: +12% XP Boost
- 4 Players: +16% XP Boost
- 5 Players: +20% XP Boost
As you can see from the list, you can get the maximum bonus XP by playing in a full lobby with your friends.
The Squad XP Boost event runs until June 24, 2025, so you’ll have plenty of time to grind for all the rewards that you need.
