Steam records more than 22 million concurrent users as coronavirus keeps people home

Today, Steam set another record as more than 22 million concurrent users logged-in just 5 days after the previous 20 million concurrent payer mark.

According to Steams official stats, today concurrent users peaked at 22,378,747. Again this new record is in line with the Coronavirus lockdown due to which many people are to self-quarantine themselves and work from home.

Since Steam houses the most popular games in the market, it is no doubt the first choice of many as they turn towards gaming. Also, many publishers and developers are offering their games for free amid the Coronavirus lockdown and encouraging users to stay home and game.

Coronavirus is still at large with more than 2.90 Lakh cases and almost 12,000 deaths. A worldwide emergency has been called upon by WHO and since then more countries are undergoing lockdown and asking their people to work from home. Due to this more people are expected to log-in into gaming to pass time and entertain themselves.
