Skyesports announce Valorant League 2021, to have LAN Finals

Skyesports have released a teaser for the sequel of their mega-successful Valorant series named Skyesports Valorant League. The 2021 edition is all set to go on floors on April 9, 2021 as per the Instagram teaser and will feature the same team owners from the previous iteration. This signifies that the cities might also be retained as the team owners set about finding players or a squad to represent them for the event.

What is even more magnanimous is that Skyesports have further revealed in response to a comment that this edition will have a LAN feature, with the Finals set to be held ‘offline’. Valorant has thus far, not had a LAN final in India, with the fact that the game was released amidst the spread of the ongoing pandemic a large reason.

The last season saw the team of Team Hyderabad, who were represented by the squad of Team Mahi, then known as VLT Gaming, emerge victorious over Team Rajasthan in the Grand Finals of the event, with the latter being a concoction of several stars from the Indian Esports scene, Valorant included. Team Hyderabad will look to retain their crown while Team Bangalore would look to improve upon their Semi-Final finish at the initial event.

It will be interesting to see how the squads shape up by the time Skyesports Valorant League 2021 arrives and whether there are changes to lineups on both sides of the coins – the teams represented by professional Valorant rosters or the concocted lineups made up of influencers and professionals from Valorant and other Esports titles.
