Riot Games is offering you up to $100,000 to find bugs in Valorant anti-cheat

Riot Games is running a bounty program on HackerOne with up to $100,000 up for the grabs for Valorant's anti-cheat – Vanguard.

Riot Games’ foremost first person shooter (FPS) title – Valorant is arguably the talk of the town. If otherwise, Vanguard – its anti-cheat has categorically initiated a thorough deliberation within the community. The developer had put forth its plan of action to decisively ban hackers and maintain integrity of the game much in advance.

The critics, however, claim the anti-cheat to be ‘critically invasive’ since it runs continuously in the background even when the game is not being played. Apparantly, users defamed Vanguard on a cheaters forum as well to instigate psychological fear among players. Some users also reported performance reduction in other games due to Vanguard anti-cheat. Riot Games’ security team cleared the air with an avid response.

Riot Games is offering up to $100,000 on HackerOne (bug bounty platform) for finding “security vulnerability” in Vanguard – “a kernel driver to combat cheaters more effectively.” The developer expects comprehensive report with reproductive steps and utmost confidentiality.
