Mysterious Astralis Tweet may hint to a return of Xyp9x

The mysterious tweet shows the silhouette of a player who is speculated to be Xyp9x.

On September 7th, Astralis tweeted out a mysterious picture with a seemingly random caption of “17.09.2020”. The tweet seems to be pointing towards something interesting which is about to happen on 17th September, but the picture itself didn’t seem to make any sense. However, the enigma unfolds a little upon taking a closer look at the picture.

A closer look at the picture reveals a faint silhouette of a man standing towards the right, close to the red light. The silhouette becomes even more prominent when you turn up the brightness of the image.

While the Danish organization hasn’t said a word regarding what the tweet is about, fans have already started speculating all sorts of possibilities the mysterious tweet may imply.

The most popular speculation among the fans is that the tweet indicates Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth returning to the team after a long break from competitive Counter-Strike. According to many fans, the silhouette looks like a faint impression of Xyp9x.

The speculations were further fueled by the fact that Xyp9x had made a recent tweet congratulating team Heroic with a comment “Enjoy it while it lasts.”

The 24-year-old pro has been away from the competitive scene since late May. It will certainly be a delight for Astralis fans to see him back in action after a long break of over three months.
