Krafton Confirms BGMI 4.6 Update Release Date: Midnight Hunters, Vampires, New Items, Ocean Odyssey, and More

KRAFTON India has officially revealed the BGMI 4.6 Update, giving players a detailed first look at its main themed experience, Midnight Hunters. The upcoming update will turn familiar locations across Erangel into a much darker battleground filled with Vampires, Hunters, supernatural creatures, new missions, and special items. Players will also get a completely new way to continue fighting during a match by crossing over to the vampire side. Along with Midnight Hunters, the update will also bring back the popular Ocean Odyssey themed mode later in September. Check out the BGMI 4.6 update release date and other details.

BGMI 4.6 Update Release Date Confirmed

The BGMI 4.6 Update will officially release on September 16, 2026, KRAFTON India confirmed on September 11.

Its main themed experience, Midnight Hunters, will become available alongside the update on September 16 and remain playable until November 16, 2026.

There will also be another major themed mode during the same update cycle. Ocean Odyssey returns to Erangel on September 30 and will run alongside Midnight Hunters.

KRAFTON has said that more elements of Version 4.6 will be revealed separately in the coming weeks.

Midnight Hunters Turns Erangel Into a Vampire Battleground

Midnight Hunters keeps the basic geography of Erangel familiar, but several popular locations will look and play very differently.

Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry, and Gatka will become Vampire Takeover POIs. These locations will receive a darker atmosphere and will also be connected to a new set of missions.

Meanwhile, Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base will become locations for the Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild.

The Hunter Guild will work as a large indoor combat area. Players will also be able to search for secrets hidden inside tables, bookshelves, and murals.

New Activities Across Erangel

The changes will not be limited to major POIs.

Players will find a new Hunter Shooting Range, where they can train their shooting skills.

A special tower will also have an interactive mechanic. Shooting its bell will stun nearby supernatural creatures, potentially giving players an advantage during fights.

Another addition is the Scream Crate.

Players have to decrypt these crates to open them and collect the rewards inside. However, failing the decryption comes with a risk—the crate will make a sound that can reveal the player’s position to nearby enemies.

Players Can Cross Over to the Vampire Side

One of the biggest changes in Midnight Hunters is what can happen after players are eliminated.

KRAFTON has confirmed that players will be able to cross to the other side of the hunt, receiving a different appearance, new abilities, and a completely different way to play during the closing stages of a match.

This connects with the previously revealed Bloodline Awakening experience, where eliminated players can return to the battlefield as Vampires rather than having their fight end immediately.

It means the relationship between Hunters and Vampires will be more than just a visual theme and will directly affect how matches are played.

Bloodwalkers, Nightbats and Vampire Elder Arrive

Erangel will also be populated by several new supernatural enemies.

Bloodwalkers will hunt players on foot, creating a ground-level PvE threat.

Nightbats attack from the air and can use sonic waves, forcing players to pay attention to threats above them as well.

The most dangerous of these creatures could be the Vampire Elder.

The Vampire Elder is described as an ancient bloodline ruler capable of strengthening creatures linked to it. The longer it survives, the stronger those connected creatures can become.

This means eliminating the Vampire Elder could become an important part of surviving encounters with groups of supernatural enemies.

Nightkeeper Can Also Be Challenged

Hunters have their own important character: the Nightkeeper.

The NPC will appear at the Hunter Guild during each match. Players can interact with the Nightkeeper to learn more about the story behind Midnight Hunters and receive useful materials.

However, that is not where the interaction ends.

Players will eventually get an opportunity to challenge the Nightkeeper directly, adding another major PvE encounter to the themed mode.

Silvermoon Chain Comes to BGMI

Midnight Hunters will introduce several themed items, including the Silvermoon Chain.

The item has multiple uses rather than working as a simple weapon. Players can use it against supernatural creatures, but it can also function as a grappling line for moving across terrain.

The Silvermoon Chain can additionally be used defensively as a shield, giving players offensive, movement, and defensive options from a single themed item.

Twilight Bat Wings Allow Players to Fly

Another major item is the Twilight Bat Wings.

The wings unlock flight, introducing a completely different way to move around the battleground. Players will be able to use the item to travel through the air instead of relying only on traditional movement and vehicles.

KRAFTON has not revealed every detail surrounding the item yet, leaving some of its abilities for later reveals.

Hunter Bandage Brings Faster Recovery

The Hunter Bandage is another new themed item coming with Midnight Hunters.

Unlike a normal bandage, it is designed for rapid recovery, giving Hunters another tool to survive fights against players and supernatural creatures.

Together, the Hunter Bandage, Silvermoon Chain, and Twilight Bat Wings will form an important part of the new themed gameplay.

Ocean Odyssey Returns on September 30

Midnight Hunters will not be the only themed experience available during BGMI 4.6.

Following requests from the community, Ocean Odyssey will return to Erangel on September 30, 2026.

The underwater-themed mode brings back the Ocean Palace, where players can explore a submerged ancient kingdom. The mode also features the powerful Trident, the Kraken, and other underwater elements.

This means Version 4.6 will eventually have two major themed experiences running during the same update cycle.

BGMI 4.6 Update Is Coming Soon

The BGMI 4.6 Update release date is September 16, 2026, with Midnight Hunters available from launch until November 16.

The update’s main theme will transform several familiar Erangel locations while introducing Hunters, Vampires, Bloodwalkers, Nightbats, the Vampire Elder, and the Nightkeeper.

New items such as the Silvermoon Chain, Twilight Bat Wings, and Hunter Bandage will further change how players move, fight, and survive.

Ocean Odyssey will then return on September 30, giving BGMI players another major themed experience while Midnight Hunters remains active.

KRAFTON India plans to reveal more trailers and complete details through BGMI’s official channels ahead of the update’s launch.
