In the on-going CS_Summit 5, the tournament now heads towards the playoffs as four teams have been confirmed.

The names of the teams are:

  • G2
  • Virtus.Pro
  • mousesports
  • OG

First match-up of the Playoffs being held at Los Angeles will be on Sunday where G2 takes on And mousesports competing OG in a BO3 matchup.

On Day-3 at cs_summit 5, G2 added two wins to their tally defeating 16-8 on Train and 16-2 on Vertigo which marked the end of the Group Stage for G2 placed as the top performer in the Group A. Polish side played against MIBR, beating MIBR by a scoreline of 16-14 on Train which gave their Fourth Victory making G2 the only team they failed against in the group stage.

‌New MIBR lineup answered by winning on Inferno with 16-3 on the board but, losing back-to-back against OG in their ensuing matchup left Brazilian team at the bottom of the scoreboard which marked the end of the debut event for Ignacio “meyern” Meyer and his team.

‌Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen and his team OG won two maps which placed them up on the scoreboard by defeating another Brazilian squad in the form of FURIA. A 16-14 Victory on Overpass paved a way to a one sided map win on Inferno with a scoreline of 16-7 confirming the spot for the team in the Semi-finals. FURIA was left with a single chance as they took on mousesports to seek a spot in playoffs in the last matchup of the day.

‌In the Last match of the group stage, CS_Summit 5 witnessed a stellar performance from Robin “ropz” Kool and David “frozen” Čerňanský which ended up helping mousesports win on Mirage with 16-9 on the scoreboard. Mousesports kept this solid momentum going, and ended up taking down FURIA entering the playoffs with a one-side win on Vertigo by a scoreline of 16-5.
