South Korean Fortnite Pro ‘FaxFox’ Announces Retirement

South Korean professional Fortnite player Park “FaxFox” Sung-Bin has announced his retirement from the battle royale today. The former OP Gaming member shared the news in a Twitter post.

He proceeded to thank his fans and explain the reason behind his decision through a Twitlonger attached with his Tweet.

The 19-year-old claimed that he was losing motivation for competing and said that he had “no will and passion” left for Fortnite. “All I have for 3 years is a really fun and happy memory,” FaxFox said.

FaxFox was a part of team OP Gaming for a span of 14 months from July 2018 to September 2019. He was quite successful throughout his professional Fortnite career and the news of his sudden retirement is certain to catch his fan base by surprise.

The competitive Fortnite scene has been in a steady state of decline over the past few months due to the receding prize pool and professionals retiring to pursue other titles. The retirement of FaxFox caused further damage to the Epic Games title that it may take a while to recover from.
