The Bangladesh Qualifiers For VCC has come down to the Grand Finals with Exceeli and Regal progressing from the Semi-Finals at the cost of Insurgent Esports and Zeusaberz Esports respectively.
SF 1: Insurgent Esports vs Exceeli Esports
Insurgent had a promising run in the qualifiers but Exceeli, widely regarded as the best team in Bangladesh were the clear favorites going into the match. Breeze, Bind, and Haven was vetoed for the B03 clash between the two teams.
Map 1: Breeze(Insurgent Esports 5-13 Exceeli Esports)
Exceeli Esports had a typical strong start, picking up nine rounds in their favor, thus leaving only two rounds for Insurgent to play within the second half. Exceeli Esports won four more in the second half by the time Insurgent managed and brought home the first map.
Map 2: Bind(Insurgent Esports 10-13 Exceeli Esports)
A slow start for the favorites, thus making a closer affair with respect to the first map. Exceeli Esports taking seven more rounds sealed the fate for Insurgent, thereby booking their slot in the Finals against the winners of the second Semi-Finals.
SF 2: Regal Esports vs Zeusaberz Esports
Regal Esports were the favorites heading into the match but Zeusaberz are no pushovers. Both teams shared a fair chance of making it to the finals. Haven, Ascent, and Icebox were vetoed for the second semi-finals.
Map 1: Haven(Regal Esports 13-9 Zeusaberz Esports)
Regal Esports, having secured nine rounds in the first half was in a compelling position to close out the first map, and close they did. They won four more rounds and clinched the map.
Map 2: Ascent(Regal Esports 13-9 Zeusaberz Esports)
Regal Esports shared a 6-6 score in the first half but Zeusaberz managed only 3 before Regal took 7 more, closing out the series with both maps sharing the score of 13-9 in favor of Regal.
Regal Esports will take on Exceeli Esports for a spot in the VCC main event. Matches will be live-streamed on Nodwin Gaming’s YouTube channel.
