StarLadder and ImbaTV to host the third Minor of the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit

StarLadder and ImbaTV are joining forces once again to host a Dota 2 Minor tournament, the organizations announced today. The Minor will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine and it’ll be the third edition of the competition.

StarLadder and ImbaTV have allied together once again declaring the third DPC Minor of the Dota Pro Circuit 2019-20 to be held in Kyiv, Ukraine at the <> from March 5th to 8th.

The event is set to take place from March 5th to 8th and teams hustling their way up for a share of $300,000 prize pool and 660 DPC points. The winner of this minor will earn a ticket to the ESL One Los Angeles 2020.

Valve’s new qualifier rules for this season’s Dota Pro Circuit combined the qualifiers of Major and Minor altogether. The top seeds who failed to qualify for the major will automatically be sent into the minor qualifier that is supposed to take place on February 14th-15th.

Some things to seem sure is that we can expect some big names to walk in for this Major/Minor combined regional qualifiers. There have been rumours around that OG will finally make a return for this season as they have been off a while.

The format of the Minor will be similar to the one that was held earlier this January, WePlay! Bukovel Minor.

Eight teams will be attending the minor and further will be divided into two groups of four. These groups will follow the GSL format, two-game series for group stages. Bottom two teams from each group will be eliminated while the top seeds will advance into a double elimination while the playoffs to have best-of-three series.
