Dota 2: OG’s ana on a break for another DPC season

Anathan “ana” Pham will extend his break until next season.

It was the only day before yesterday where we talked about that the qualifiers which are bound to happen onwards second week of February might witness some big names such as OG and today, Team OG has announced Anathan ”ana” Pham will be out for the remainder of the season.

About one week before their official return to professional Dota 2 scene to defend their title for the third time in a row, Ana is not going to be around.

Team OG announced in a tweet post that their carry would not be returning this season.

The tweet read as:

Our carry player and Io god @anadota99 will extend his break and come back for the next season.

Rest well Anathan!

And a short video attached to it in which the OG squad is celebrating their International 2019 win. At the end of the video, it faded out with ana to show ana on the island with the caption saying “Relocating to pro dota next season”.

ana taking a break from the Dota 2 is no surprise to the fans. Every year since 2017, ana has taken an extended break from the competitive Dota but always made it back either way and has played with OG for the grand tournament twice resulting the team defending it making history.

As mentioned we were just one week away from next round of qualifiers the team eventually confirmed out that OG is returning. Multiple players associated with their team have acknowledged this, but there has been nothing but silence from ana since November.

Meanwhile, the premiere date for TI9 True Sight Documentary is marked as 28th of January and ana’s replacement yet being unknown, OG is going to host an ”OGNight” talk show at the event which might reveal the new player to join for the TI10 road.
