oBo signs up for Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses on Twitter have announced the addition of Owen “oBo” Schlatter to their CSGO Division.

The Peter ‘Stanislaw’ Jarguz led side have found the fifth piece to their puzzle by bringing aboard oBo, who earlier represented Complexity CSGO roster from June – September 2020. At the latter, oBo had steered the side to their first-ever championship at the Blast Premier Spring 2020 Europe Finals after breezing past through Vitality in the Grand finale. The 17-year-old later decided to step down from the team as he found the play conditions “undesirable” back in Europe amidst the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic.

With civil unrest and inevitable lockdowns returning to the UK, I was not willing to risk being trapped in a foreign country. I never signed up to live in a foreign continent indefinitely, and after many months of uncertainty I made the very difficult decision

he stated in an interview with HLTV.org after being asked the reason behind his return to his homeland.

At Evil Geniuses CSGO roster, oBo would be filling in the void left by Ethan ‘Ethan’ Arnold who decided to call quits on his Counter Strike career after transitioning to 100 Thieves’ Professional Valorant team. EG have now completed their lineup with the addition of Owen and would debut alongside him at the upcoming ESL Pro League S13 where they have been seeded in the Group D of the same. They would be locking horns with the Danish Powerhouse, Astralis in the opener, and hope to culminate more firepower with their latest signing of the North American prodigy.
