The ex-100 Thieves quartet and Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand find themselves on the bench at EXTREMUM after spending just eight months with the European Organization.

EXTREMUM on Twitter have announced the benching of their current CSGO squad in the wake of the defeat suffered at the hand of Evil Geniuses in the North American RMR event for the final spot at the forthcoming PGL Stockholm Major 2021.

As said, EXTREMUM picked up Aaron “AZR” Ward, Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad, Jay “Liazz” Tregillgas, Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai when the quartet were in search for a new home after being released by 100 Thieves in October 2020. The team then went on to add BnTeT, an inactive player for Gen.G Esports and re-sign a familiar coach in the face of Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović who had previously mentored the 100 Thieves roster.

Having been forced to start from scratch, EXTREMUM led by AZR never got to play in top-tier tournaments and were only seen playing in championship cups like Pinnacle and a plethora of tournaments organized by Relog media. They opted to battle out at the North American RMR events where they finished third at the Cs_summit 8 North America and bagged a total of 1400 points towards the PGL Major, to be held later in Stockholm. Although defeats to paiN and Team Liquid did cost them their major spot, as they were further denied the same by Evil Geniuses in the decider.

The European organization decided to call it quits on their then-current roster and cited their loss to EG as the lone concern which indeed sabotaged their goal to book a seat at the major.
