The BMSD 2026 Grand Finals reach their last day today, October 18, at Savaaya Convention in Hyderabad. KRAFTON India’s cameras have been everywhere since Day 1. They’ve caught the walkouts, the stares at the booths, the casters between games and a crowd that turned up painted orange with posters bigger than their torsos.
Sixteen teams are playing 18 matches across three days for a ₹1 crore prize pool. The champion walks away with ₹30 lakh and a direct ticket to PMGC 2026 in Türkiye. The top six also book a place at BMIC 2026 in Mumbai. Our BMSD 2026 Grand Finals preview has the full team list and format.
Team 8Bit go into Day 3 on top with 116 points after 12 matches, ahead of K9 Esports (100) and Blitz Epigrotive Gaming (99). That puts the Match Target Point at 126, per the BMSD 2026 points table. Six matches are left.
These are the 16 best photos from the BGMI Showdown so far, with the story behind each one.
The Trophy and the Walkouts

An empty stage, two crossing spotlights and a gold trophy on a black plinth. Rows of booths sit ready with fans and headsets, and green “BMSD 2026” lettering glows along the front.
This is only the second BMSD. The first edition in 2025 had 24 teams, and KRAFTON India doubled the invite list to 48 this year. The Qualifiers, Semi Finals and a Last Chance stage cut that to the 16 now in Hyderabad. KRAFTON India runs the event with Tesseract Esports.

The walkouts gave each team a few seconds to show some personality. Team Apex Gaming used theirs for a gag. Jonathan, in his No. 16 jersey, mimed a grenade toss across the stage, and his four teammates huddled on the other side of the trophy and “took” the hit.
Jonathan co-founded Team Apex Gaming in April 2026 after more than four years at GodLike Esports. Before the finals he told TalkEsport the plan was simple. “This time, you know, no heart attacks,” he said in our pre-finals interview with Jonathan Gaming.
Faces on the Stage

Hand up, lips pressed tight, eyes on the screens. Jonathan has a reputation for slow starts, and he owned it before the event: “your bhai’s car starts slow.” The tattooed arm and the cream-and-orange Apex jersey made him easy to spot from the back of the hall.

Every booth had a small desk fan, and Omega made sure his pointed the right way before the lobby loaded. Team Outrage started Day 1 well. After three of the six matches they sat second with 42 points on our live Day 1 points table.

Team Soul came in as BGIS 2026 champions, and Joker looked relaxed about it. The Apex logo on the screen behind him is a reminder of how tight these booths are. Rivals sit a few metres apart all day.

Sarang leans in to swap notes with a teammate between games. Team 8Bit took the long road here, coming through the Qualifiers before the Grand Finals.
The Voices of BMSD 2026
Every match streams on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel in Hindi and English. These are some of the people you hear on it.

iSuperJonny is one of the main English voices. Orange hoodie, boom mic, cue card in hand. The card carries the Showdown logo and the event’s “…THE THRONE” line, though his finger hides the first word.

Nekrou and Icybaby share the English desk as caster and analyst. Nekrou points, Icybaby throws a double thumbs-up, and a can from official beverage partner Monster Energy sits in front of them.

Event host Rohit Varghese works the booths with a mic between matches. Here he catches DragonOP of Meta Ninza, another Qualifiers team, while a spotlight picks out the trophy in the background.
The Crowd and the Jonathan Effect

Mid-match, the hall goes quiet. Most of these fans are staring straight at the big screens, a few are filming, and behind them the Monster Energy booth runs a “Grab A Can In: 03:58” countdown next to the Google Play zone. Google Play is the event’s official gaming partner.

One barricade, two fanbases. The Team Apex Gaming banner in front ends with the words “ON TOP”. The handmade sign behind it says “SOUL” with a red heart.

This fan went all in. Orange paint from the waist up, the Apex logo and “TAG” on his chest, and a poster reading “ABSOLUTE LEGEND, G-OnAThan” held over his head. The poster shows Jonathan from behind in his No. 16 jersey with a goat at his side, a nod to the GOAT tag his fans keep giving him.

He didn’t sit down much. Here he punches the air while another fan takes a turn holding the poster.

Look at the people around him. A fan in a Nebula Esports jersey stands on the left and an Apex jersey on the right, with phones up and handmade banners hanging over the rail.
The Grind and the Payoff

Punk of Version1 x Blue Army hunches over his phone with his cap on backwards and his mic wire close to his mouth, calling for his team. Day 1 tested everyone’s patience. Two matches were rehosted after some squads never made it into the lobby from the stage, and Blue Army were one of the teams affected, as our report on the Match 5 rehost explains.

Then there’s the release. Aaddiii, the in-game leader of Nebula Esports, clenches a fist and shouts after a win, with the trophy standing on its plinth over his shoulder. Nebula arrived in Hyderabad as BGMS Season 5 champions, so they know what a title run feels like.
What’s Next at BMSD 2026
The Grand Finals end on October 18. Day 3 uses the Smash Rule: a team that passes the Match Target Point (the Day 2 leader’s total plus 10) and then wins a match takes the title on the spot. Our Smash Rule explainer breaks it down.
The top six then head to Mumbai for BMIC 2026, played October 30 to November 1 at The Dome, SVP Indoor Stadium. For the latest schedule, standings and results, keep our BMSD 2026 hub open.
