The BGMS 2026 Grand Finals Day 1 is finally here, with 16 teams beginning their fight for the BGMI Masters Series Season 5 trophy today, September 4. After almost a month of competition, only the best teams have reached the final stage. Team Soul, Orangutan, Genesis Esports, Apex Gaming, Revenant XSpark and other finalists will now compete across three days. Day 1 will be especially important because teams need to build a strong points base before the Smash Rule comes into play on the final day.
BGMS 2026 Grand Finals Day 1 Match Schedule and Maps
Day 1 will feature six matches across Rondo, Erangel and Miramar. Each of the three maps will be played twice. The first match is scheduled for 4:00 PM IST, with games following at roughly 40-minute intervals.

A total of 16 teams will compete on Day 1. Six teams qualified directly through the Super Weekend Leaderboard, while the other ten earned their places through the Playoffs.

BGMS 2026 Grand Finals Format
The BGMS 2026 Grand Finals will be played from September 4 to 6. There are a maximum of 18 matches, with six games available on each matchday.
Day 1 and Day 2 will use the regular points system. These first 12 matches are important because they will help decide the Match Point threshold for Day 3.
After Match 12, the first-place team’s total will be used to set the threshold by adding 20 points. From Day 3, teams that reach this target become Match Point Eligible from a subsequent match. An eligible team that then secures a WWCD will become the BGMS 2026 champion. If nobody completes the requirement by the end of Match 18, the team with the highest overall points will win.
This makes Day 1 much more than just a starting point. A strong opening six matches can put a team much closer to Match Point eligibility before the final day.
