G2 Esports revealed strategic partnership between their League of Legends and Mastercard during their League of Legends Worlds 2019 Finals match this weekend. The team will be partnering with Mastercard Nexus which will “help bring entertaining experiences” to all fans and supporters of the team.

Mastercard will be using G2’s facilities to create some behind the scene content for fans to enjoy by using the Mastercard Nexus feature. Mastercard will also sponsor digital content to showcase G2’s LEC season run, including weekly “Priceless Moments.”

G2’s CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez said:

This isn’t first time for Mastercard to enter into esports space, the company is also partnered with Riot Games and LCS, as well as Mastercard have featured as stream-partner on broadcasts of various tournaments and event.
