How Pros and Influencers Reacted To Team SouL in PMWI

Team SouL recently represented India at the biggest PUBG Mobile tournament of the half season called PMWI 2022. This grand event was hosted in Riyadh and had top eighteen teams from around the world. Team SouL could not win the tournament but left their footprint on the global roadmap. Here is how Indian pros reacted to their performance at the PMWI.

PMWI 2022 had a major prize pool at stake as the best of the best were fighting for a prize pool of $2 million over a weekend. This was the first global appearance for Team SouL after a span of two years and even though they did not perform very well, they made Indian fans proud.

Soul Omega was in the limelight for his incredible game sense that led to Team SouL rotating perfectly and gaining a favourable spot at the end circles almost every round. GodLike Ghatak commended his performance and said the following:

Soul MortaL, the founder and co-owner of Team Soul, expressed his views on the performance of Team SouL. He took the loss on a positive note and praised the team for their stellar show.

Rushindra Sinha, the owner of Global Esports, commended Team SouL with his encouraging words. He reminisced about the final chicken dinner that is like a ritual for Indian teams whenever they appear on a global stage.

Team SouL is one of the most dominating teams in India and yet, they lacked fire power while facing global competition. Their presence and win at the last map is a very commendable feat.

Indian and Korean teams ineligible for “fan favourite” award at PMWI Afterparty

Indian BGMI team, 7Sea Esports, is ineligible to participate in the “fan favourite” award that will take place in the second phase of PMWI called Afterparty event. Teams from South Korea and China were also not eligible to participate in this event along with some other major awards with huge prize money.

PUBG Mobile has several variants across the world and some of the major consumers such as India, China and Korea play on their own localized version. Even though the game is currently banned in India, other regions are also ineligible to take part at this award.

The fan favourite award was going to be different this time as PUBG Mobile Esports was planning to engage their audience more on social media front. A post was apparently going to decide who will win $10,000. Players from all the participating teams were to comment on the post and the comment with highest likes would win the award.

Apparently, Indian and Korean teams are not participating at the event. The fans will not see comments from DAMWON Gaming and 7Sea Esports under this post. Chinese teams were also not allowed to comment but as they have not qualified for the event itself, they are automatically out of the competition.

There are some other awards as well where Indian teams could not participate. The name of these awards are “Best Watchparty” award with a $50,000 prize and “Best Team Presentation” award with $20,000 prize.

The entire prize pool of PMWI Afterparty is $1 million and considering the staggering amount they have spent on such awards, it is evident that teams from these regions will face a minute loss in the upcoming weekend.

0

The League of Legends World Championship, often known as Worlds 2022, is one of the most thrilling competitions to watch since the best teams from all of the world’s regions compete against one another to see who will emerge victorious. Worlds 2022 is just around the corner, and regions around the world are wrapping up their summer splits to determine which teams will make it.

The victorious team gets the trophy, money, and personalized skins for all participants. This year, the World Championships 2022 are slated to take place in North America, and the League Championship Series (LCS) is going to serve as the event’s host. Following a period of two years in which COVID-19 prevented them from doing so, fans are extremely ecstatic about the fact that they will soon be able to attend all of the stages of Worlds.

Seeding for the League of Legends World Championship 2022:

Riot Games has announced that the League of Legends Continental League (LCL) will not be sending a representation to this year’s international competition, which will include a total of 24 teams from all over the world competing.

  • China ( League of Legends Pro League – LPL) – 4 teams
  • Korea (League of Legends Champions Korea – LCK) – 4 teams
  • Europe (LEC) – 4 teams
  • North America (League of Legends Championship Series LCS) – 3 teams
  • Southeast Asia (Pacific Championship Series – PCS) – 2 teams
  • Vietnam (Vietnam Championship Series – VCS) – 2 teams
  • Brazil (Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends – CBLOL) – 1 team

LEC (Europe) :

The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) will receive four seeds at Worlds 2022, and it will be the only region with two teams competing in the Play-In stage. This was revealed by Riot Games. The European league has done well at international tournaments, and since Korea and China all had four seeds, Europe got this one.

G2 Esports is the only European team with a playoff spot. Additionally, G2 Esports is the first team from all regions to qualify for Worlds 2022.

Following the end of the LEC 2022 Summer Playoffs, three additional teams will have ensured a spot for themselves in the Worlds tournament.

LPL (China) :

The Chinese league has not yet decided who would represent them in Worlds; there could be four different people. The LPL will adopt the same approach as the LCK to choose its four Worlds teams: one will be directly seeded after winning the summer split, the second through Championship Points, and the third and fourth through Regional Finals.

LCK (Korea)

There is currently no confirmation for any of the Korean teams at the World Cup in 2022. The LCK’s summer playoff is scheduled to get underway on August 17th of this year. The Summer Playoffs champion automatically qualifies for Worlds, while the team with the most Championship Points qualifies second. The LCK 2022 Regional Finals will be used to determine who will take the final two berths.

LCS (North America)

The three best teams from the LCS will advance to the World Championship. The top two players will move on to compete in the Main Event, while the team who received the third seed will compete in the Play-Ins. The LCS Championship begins on 20 August and ends on 11 September.

In a similar vein, the LCO, LJL, PCS, VCS, LLA, and TCL, as well as the CBLOL, have not yet decided who will serve as their delegates. After each region’s summer playoffs have come to a close, this article will be revised to include a list of the clubs that have qualified to represent that region.

Play-ins for the World Championship 2022 is scheduled to take place in Mexico City and are scheduled to begin on September 29.

GeT_RiGhT to Join f0rest and friberg for European RMR CS:GO Open Qualifiers

0

Legendary CS:GO players Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, and Adam “friberg” Friberg will be reuniting once again since playing under Dignitas in 2020 to participate in the upcoming open qualifiers for the European Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournaments.

This comes as a surprise to the CSGO community since GeT_RiGhT had previously announced his retirement from the competitive scene following a 14-year-long run in June 2021 and had pivoted to streaming instead.

The trio will be playing under the tag “d00m” alongside Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson and Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsso in the open qualifiers that are scheduled to start today at 9 AM PT.

GeT_RiGhT has confirmed that he’ll be streaming their entire campaign in his Twitch channel.

In the past, CSGO veterans GeT_RiGhT, f0rest, and friberg have been a part of the former Ninjas in Pyjamas roster and had managed to secure an 87-map win streak with the squad on LAN between 2012 and 2013.

Needless to say, the CSGO community is hyped for the return of the legendary trio to competitive Counter-Strike and fans have expressed their support for the ‘d00m’ roster across social media platforms.

The European RMR A and B tournaments are set to be played in October 2022 and will see a total of four open qualifiers being organized before then. Teams that manage to qualify through the open and closed qualifiers will get a chance to battle it out against the best European teams from the PGL Antwerp Major in the RMRs.

Is Legolas From The Lord Of The Rings Joining MultiVersus?

0

MultiVersus is a newly launched fighting game launched by Warner Bros, Interactive media. It has a lot of characters from DC, Disney and other major catalogues and there are rumours that Legolas from LOTR is joining the Multiversus soon. Here is what we know about it.

The developers of MultiVersus are already doing an exceptional job by adding more and more interesting characters to the game. It has already been confirmed that Rick and Morty are joining the game and to spice it up even more, a collaboration with Lord of the Rings might be on the horizon.

The characters currently present in MultiVersus do not resemble or represent anybody from LOTR even a little bit but some evidence point out that they are present in the game, but not on the screen.

Data miners have already found evidence like Gandalf and the Eye of Sauron were spotted in the game files itself. This does not directly imply that Legolas is joining MultiVersus but the hints are pretty strong.

In a recent tweet posted by Tony Huynh, the Game Director of MultiVersus, a character with bow and arrows might join the game. This refers to two characters like Green Arrow and Legolas but the in-game files tell a story which favours the latter.

The developers of this game have not confirmed the introduction of LOTR in MultiVersus saga in any capacity but all the hints point towards the release of Legolas in MultiVersus with the launch of Season One.

Is Andrew Tate Really A Trillionaire?

0

Andrew Tate’s fame has grown in the recent days, making him one of the most popular faces on the web. It is very natural for someone like him to flex a flashy lifestyle, it is clear that he is a multi-millionaire but the claims of being trillionaire is extremely far-fetched just off the back of boxing and internet fame.

Lets be clear, a Trillionaire is no joke, only a handful of companies are worth over a T, let alone any individual, the richest man on Earth, i.e Elon Musk is worth north of 200 Billion, making him around 700 Million short of becoming world’s first trillionaire.

How He Makes His Money?

Andrew Tate’s primary income “source is his online business, Hustler’s University, which the controversial influencer runs with his brother, Tristan Tate. For the uninitiated, Hustler’s University is an online program that sells a range of courses on making money, getting with women, and connecting with other business-like-minded individuals.” according to GINX TV.

In a Twitch live stream with Adin Ross, the ex-kickboxing champion discussed the timeline of his financial success. He claimed, “I was broke for a long time. I made my first million when I was 27, and then I had a hundred million [dollars] by the time I was 31.” Andrew Tate continued, “I became a trillionaire quite recently … the world’s first trillionaire.”

Trillionaire claims are outrageous for sure but let it be known, according to several financial websites, Tate is rated to be worth around $250 million making him $750 million away from becoming a Billionaire, let alone a Trillionaire.

CS.MONEY Hacked: Over $1.6 Million in CSGO Skins Stolen

Weapon skins in CSGO can often be incredibly valuable cosmetic items with prices ranging from a few cents to millions of dollars. With the constantly growing skin economy of Valve’s competitive shooter, the number of frauds in the CSGO community is also increasing steadily.

On August 13, 2022, a whopping $6 million worth of CSGO skins was stolen from the popular third-party skin trading website CS.MONEY. This was one of the biggest attacks launched on a CSGO skin marketplace to date.

The incident was brought to light by CSGO skin collector ‘Arrow’ on Twitter, who initially reported that over $1.6 million in skins were stolen and 30 accounts linked to the hackers had already been found.

CS.MONEY later released a statement on their Twitter, confirming the attack and informing users that the website would be temporarily down till they manage to fix the issue and restore normal services.

In a follow-up Tweet, CS.MONEY thanked its users for the support and claimed that they were working on returning the stolen skins.

It was later found out that the hackers gained access to the Mobile Authenticator files for the  CS.MONEY trade bots and managed to take control of them.

The CSGO community has come forward in support of the website on various social media platforms and has requested Valve to investigate the incident.

Whether or not Valve decides to step into the situation and reverts the trades made by the hackers still remains to be seen.
