VALORANT Patch Notes 5.07: Full Changes and Details Inside

The 5.07 Patch in Valorant is finally here which introduces a series of changes to the game.

The developers modified Skye, KAY/O, Reyna, and Yoru’s flash skills and improved both Fracture sites. Yoru and Reyna’s flash abilities were overpowered by Skye and KAY/O, therefore Riot made balance tweaks. The modifications should help duelists thrive in this setting as designed.

The Valorant 5.07 Patch notes are as follows :

Skye

“Guiding Light’s destructibility didn’t feel like meaningful counterplay, instead overtly punishing when Skye tried to throw them at a longer range. By increasing the top-end output and rewarding Skye for bending her birds into the right spots, we intend to foster more teamwork and differentiate her Guiding Light from other flashes in the game—especially when compared to duelists.”

⦁ Guiding Light (E) flashbang scaling paradigm changed.

⦁ The max flash duration of Skye’s Guiding Light now scales from one second to 2.25 seconds over a 0.75 seconds charge up after being cast.

⦁ Guiding Light can no longer be shot and destroyed.

⦁ New VFX, UI, and sounds added to communicate new gameplay intent.

⦁ Unequip Delay out of Guiding Light increased 0.75 seconds > 0.85 seconds.

KAY/O

“KAY/O’s underhanded FLASH/DRIVE (right-click) has been overperforming relative to other “pop” flashes (example, Phoenix’s flash or Yoru’s flash). And we feel as though labbed out left-click overhand throws aren’t generating a powerful enough reward for the mastery required to get them to pop in the right place. This tuning weakens the right-click when compared to pop flashes from duelists, with the belief that KAY/O should pay a cost for his versatility.”

⦁ FLASH/DRIVE (Q):

⦁ Underhand (right-click) flashbang max duration decreased from two seconds > 1.25 seconds.

⦁ Overhand (left-click) flashbang max duration increased from two seconds > 2.25 seconds.

⦁ Unequip Delay out of both flashes increased from 0.6 seconds > 0.85 seconds.

Reyna

“Reyna’s flash underperforms as a selfish entry-tool, especially at higher skill levels. This set of changes is intended to give Reyna more agency around how she decides to peek after casting Leer. Also, it should sharpen Leer as a powerful angle-breaking tool against Operators on maps with longer sightlines. We’ve also felt like individual casts of the eye remain in the world for too long when the eye isn’t destroyed. If Reyna is now able to make more selfish plays off her Leer, we then wanted to reduce some of the value it has when thrown for teammates.”

⦁ Leer (C):

⦁ Wind-up of nearsight effect decreased from 0.6 seconds > 0.4 seconds.

⦁ Range Restriction on Leer removed.

⦁ Nearsight unequip delay decreased from 0.7 seconds > 0.5 seconds.

⦁ Duration decreased from 2.6 seconds > 2.0 seconds.

Yoru

“Yoru is a tricky agent, as we need to balance him around his capability to throw flashes during his ultimate. We opted to go with a simple duration increase for Blindside as we feel maintaining the turning counterplay around his flash and clone is important to avoid excessively frustrating situations.”

⦁ Blindside (Q) duration increased from 1.5 seconds > 1.75 seconds.

⦁ Flash Visual Updates:

⦁ 3P visuals for flashed enemies and allies now render behind the player’s head the moment that the flash starts to fade. This should give a clearer indication if players are full flashed or if the flash has started to fade.

⦁ 1P visuals when fully flashed now shrink overtime to give a better indication of when the full flash will end and the flash fading out will begin.

⦁ Increased the window for awarding assists on flashes, nearsights, and concusses from one > three seconds after the debuff starts to fade.⦁ “We felt the assist window on these debuffs didn’t reflect their actual duration of impact, and want to make sure the supportive players are more often recognized and rewarded for setting up situations their teammates capitalize on.”

“Fracture is receiving quite a few quality-of-life changes alongside some larger updates to Dish/A Drop and A Ropes. Going to go in the order of minor to major changes.”

  • Arcade – “Opened a cubby here to make it easier for Attacking side to hold against Defender aggression from both directions.”

Are Overwatch 2 Servers Down?

The sequel to one of the best esport titles in Overwatch is finally here but it did not come without its fair share of troubles and issues. Overwatch 2 servers are having trouble connecting with the local clients but are they really down?

Many players have reported the Overwatch 2 server is not responding the way it is supposed to. Overwatch servers were taken down in order to facilitate room for Overwatch 2 but that did not age well. Thousands of players are logging in to play the game which may have resulted in the server malfunctioning.

Overwatch 2 servers are live now and the wave of traffic that it has attracted may be too overwhelming for it to deal with, thus several players may come across connectivity issues.

Valorant Servers Going Down For 5.07 Update: Maintenance Schedule

Valorant servers throughout the globe are expected to go down later today ahead of the 5.07 update. The October 4 Valorant maintenance will last for a few hours, and it will introduce the new patch 5.07 to the competitive shooter. 

Valorant patch 5.07 will bring a bunch of new improvements to the Riot Games title including changes to the kits of Reyna, Skye, KAY/O, and Yoru. These Agent changes will also be accompanied by some much-needed fixes for the bugs that have been haunting players for a while.

Who says you can’t keep vibin’ in paradise? The Grapple Glove from Chapter 3 Season 3: Vibin’ is unvaulted! How does the Grapple Glove work?

  • To begin swinging, shoot its grappling hook at a hard surface like a cliff, prop, or building. Each successive swing gets faster until the third swing and beyond, when you’ll be at max speed.
  • If you miss a shot and land on the ground, you’ll have a brief window of time to shoot the grappling hook and come back swinging. You’ll have an even longer window if you slide out of a swing, so don’t be afraid to combo some slides into your swinging action!
  • Don’t worry if your window of time runs out: after a brief cooldown, the Grapple Glove will ready itself back up. When the Grapple Glove’s ready again, get back in the air… or get something out of reach — its grappling hook can also be used to pull items towards you! Keep shooting the grappling hook until your Grapple Glove’s out of charges.


Unlike in Chapter 3 Season 3, Grapple Gloves aren’t stored in Grapple Glove Toolboxes. This time, they can be found from the ground, Chests, Supply Drops, and Legendary and Mythic Reality Sapling Fruit. Grapple Gloves will be available until the v22.20 update.

An enemy was here! Look, loot over there! Starting with v22.00, you may have noticed a more robust Squad Comms Wheel. Hold your Ping button to pull up the Squad Comms Wheel and place pings with more detail for your squad — or send orders to your hired Characters. 

While your squadmates may ignore the added details to “Watch this spot” or “Defend here” when they’re halfway across the map, Characters you’ve hired on the Island will follow your every command. Place markers for them to move up to a point, follow you, or even go revive a downed teammate!

MISCELLANEOUS UPDATES

  • Boogie Bombs have been vaulted in both non-competitive and competitive playlists.
  • Most one-handed Pickaxes, such as the Gum Brawler and Tribute’s Flail, would previously equip by flying into the player’s hand. Epic adjusted this to be a new equip animation in v22.10.
  • In case you missed it, the developers recently released a balance hotfix affecting EvoChrome Shotguns and EvoChrome Burst Rifles:
    • Their floor loot availability is now increased.
    • Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary versions can now be found in Chrome and regular Chests.
    • The damage needed to upgrade an EvoChrome weapon at each rarity tier is now greatly reduced.

COMPETITIVE NOTES

  • The Grapple Glove is not included in competitive playlists.
  • In case you missed it, the Ranger Shotgun has recently been added to competitive playlists.

MAJOR BUG FIXES

  • Players on controller are now able to consistently navigate the inventory with the left thumbstick.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the map to default to the Map tab even when previously closed on the Quests tab.
  • Lennox Rose’s hair no longer obstructs the reticle while crouching.
  • Players should no longer get stuck when phasing through Chrome-ified structures at Herald’s Sanctum.
  • Chrome-ified building pieces now lose their “on fire” visual effects when the fire has ended.
  • Fixed an issue that caused visual/screen effects from a Chrome Vortex to persist in specific circumstances.
  • The “Reset to last saved position” button in the HUD Layout Tool on mobile is again returning all buttons to the last saved position.
  • Fixed an issue involving hair clipping through headwear on several Outfits.
  • Blackheart’s Character indicator is again appearing on the minimap.
  • The Storm notification no longer appears towards the middle of the screen.

Valorant patch 5.07: All Agent Nerfs and Buffs

It is anticipated that Riot Games will soon release a new patch for the Valorant game.  

The previously released content will undergo much-required adjustments and enhancements with the application of patch 5.07. Four Agents and their flashing powers will transform the in-game meta in the forthcoming release.

Riot has not yet released a formal announcement on the patch notes for the forthcoming update. Players saw it when PBE 5.07 was announced. The PBE allows developers to test new improvements in a limited audience before distributing them in the game.

Agents and their abilities to be affected in 5.07

Skye, KAY/O, Reyna, and Yoru saw major modifications in Valorant’s latest PBE phase. While Skye and KAY/flashes O’s are nerfed, Reyna and Yoru’s are strengthened.

In Valorant, Skye and KAY/O are both going to be getting some improvements made to their ability to blind their opponents. These nerfs aren’t very harsh, but they will significantly reduce their effectiveness in one-on-one combat settings. The developers aimed to make Skye and KAY/O less effective as solo Agents than Reyna and Yoru.

Skye and KAY/O will be nerfed, but Yoru and Reyna’s Blindside and Leer will be buffed, making them more capable of winning alone.

Skye’s Guiding Light will now have a maximum flash duration that is shorter than before. The hawk that she rides will no longer be vulnerable to attack from her adversaries’ firearms. The time required to remove her Guiding Light from her inventory will be lengthened (this alteration was not tested in the PBE).

It is anticipated that Riot Games will soon release a new patch for the Valorant game.

2) UI changes

    • Note Location #1: From the Teleport Waypoint at the City of Mondstadt, go southeast from the city square, keeping to their left, and behind the With Wind Comes Glory souvenir shop is the Fecund Hamper.
  • Clue #2: “How do you do, friend? I have placed my gift near a venerable hotel in Mondstadt City (that is now being occupied by a group of guests from afar).”
    • Note Location #2: From the same Teleport Waypoint in Mondstadt City, climb the face of a hotel nearby the waypoint until reaching the balcony area. Nearby some patio furniture is the second Fecund Hamper.
  • Clue #3: “The giant leaves turn with the wind. The gift is close to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.”
    • Note Location #3: Travel to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters Teleport Waypoint before gliding over the building towards the windmill. At the top level, wrap around the windmill to find the hamper with the next note waiting inside.
  • Clue #4: “How do you do? I have placed the gift beside Cider Lake, where I usually feed the ducks. Don’t startle them while you’re getting it!”
    • Note Location #4: At the Mondstadt Outskirts Teleport Waypoint, walk towards the river bank to find the Fecund Hamper beside a flat rock and Snapdragon flowers.
  • Clue #5: “People travail endlessly on the south wind’s road, but gifts go unnoticed at the lake’s side gate.”
    • Note Location #5: At the City of Mondstadt’s Teleport Waypoint, go down the cobblestone staircase and make a right turn, where they can find the Fecund Hamper resting in a wooden cart by the city gates.
