Harbor disabled in VALORANT Due To Game Breaking Bug

0

Riot Games disabled Agent Harbor from competitive Valorant queues due to an “unintentional” lag spike from his Reckoning ultimate.

Players can no longer lock Harbor in competitive games as of November 17. This occurs as a direct consequence of a problem that his Reckoning Ultimate introduced into the game. The ability’s huge visual effect could cause “unintentional lag spikes” when cast, Riot confirmed.

The one-of-a-kind ultimate effect that Harbor possesses makes use of the “whole strength” of his ability kit. When it does this, it creates a massive tidal fleet on the ground, which knocks out any opposing players that are trapped within its radius. Some players may have experienced choppy performance due to this visual cue as Valorant struggled to keep up with the action.

This isn’t the first time in the past few years that a matchmaker has been removed from the VALORANT matchmaking service. In 2020, players that utilized Omen discovered a bug that allowed them to traverse some walls.

As a consequence of this, you will still need to exercise extreme caution if you load in against an adversary Harbor while playing in any of those modes before a solution is implemented.

Specifically, he was able to get through certain doors. After discovering this flaw, the Riot developers took immediate action and pulled him from the game until they could ensure his proper functioning.

The Agent has been removed from the competitive pool while the developers work on a fix. However, you would be able to play Harbor in other game modes like Deathmatch, Spike Rush, Escalation, and Replication.

Riot addressed the issue right after the bug surfaced on and over the internet which puts them in a position to come up with a quick fix. It is possible that it will just be a matter of hours before Harbor is placed back into the queue, but it is also possible that it will take a few days if the problem is more complicated than was initially anticipated.

Jax and Rell’s mid-scope changes confirmed in League of Legends

The first two champions to receive mid-scope upgrades are Jax and Rell. Following the release of those patches, Riot Games’ focus will shift to Neeko.

August Browning, League’s lead champion designer, tweeted that he and Daniel “Maxw3ll” Emmons are working on Jax’s mid-scope update. According to Browning, Stephen “Raptorr” Auker is presently working on Rell’s upgrade. Browning cites this information.

Mid-scope upgrades in League of Legends are not comprehensive reworks of champions but incremental adjustments to their kits to boost pick and win rates. Riot Games releases these upgrades in an effort to resurrect these champions and make them available for use on Summoner’s Rift once again.

Last month, information regarding Rell’s rework was discovered to have been stolen. Should the leaking hold, the Ferromancer’s skills could be altered, with some techniques exchanging keyboard spots.

According to a leak, Rell’s ultimate, Magnet Storm, will become her E, and Ferromancy: Crash Down (W) will be her new ultimate. Alterations to her passive ability, as well as the manner in which she communicates with champions to whom she is bound, are to be anticipated as well.

Season 12 mini-reworks and ability kit modifications have helped the publisher keep champions relevant in the current meta. Riot Games has now announced, following the pre-season presentation, that Jax and Rell will be receiving the upcoming mid-scope update.

Champions such as Taliyah, Sivir, Syndra, Swain, Olaf, Ahri, and Janna were among those who received mid-scope upgrades during Season 12 of League of Legends.

In addition, the developer mentioned that Riot Games will begin working on improvements for Neeko around the beginning of 2023. August continued, “Also, we have not neglected to think about Neeko. The beginning of next year will find her fully prepared.

Design Manager on the League Champions team Stephen “Raptorr” Auker will work on Rell’s update, while Modes Team Design Lead Daniel “Maxw3ll” Emmons, who designed Lillia, Yuumi, Gwen, and K’Sante, will take charge of the Jax mid-scope update. Emmons is responsible for designing Lillia, Yuumi, Gwen, and K’Sante.

Has the mid-scope update provided by Rell been made public?

Iron Maiden LoL Rell is a support champion that debuted in 2020. She was designed as a long-lasting tank champion with crowd-control abilities. Rell was a popular pro pick despite Riot Games’ early nerfs.

In May, team leads Ryan “Reav3” Mireles said Rell could get a mid-scope change like Swain/Olaf/Taliyah.

With that upgrade, we may be able to mitigate some of the problems discussed. We haven’t started one, but she’s a Champion who deserves high regard.

Mireles said Riot “missed the point on her dream” Leona and Rell are both armored tank supports. “Right now, if you like Leona, you probably don’t have a good reason to play Rell,” he said.

A Reddit user posted a thread about Rell’s mid-scope update last month. The post offered a list of potentially improved abilities. The leak suggested Rell’s abilities were rearranged. Riot Games hasn’t confirmed these changes, so users must wait for the Public Beta Environment update.

Riot August said the changes to Jax will be minor and focus on his ultimate ability.

TSM Debunks Reports of Its Entry into Dota 2 to Plead with FTX

0

When bitcoin exchange FTX filed for bankruptcy in the US facing an $8 billion shortfall, its sponsorship relationships with F1 team Mercedes, MLB, and Miami Heat failed. North American esports superpower Team SoloMid [TSM] distanced itself from FTX by suspending their collaboration on 16 November.

On November 13th, TSM said that it was seeking legal counsel to determine the next actions to protect the teams, staff, fans, and players following the signing of a 10-year, $210 Million USD naming rights contract with FTX in 2021. FTX, a Bahamas-based crypto exchange, filed for bankruptcy on Friday after a rush of customer withdrawals earlier that week.

Earlier this week, TSM addressed the whole FTX stir where they talked about the organization having been built on a strong foundation.

Riot Games banned TSM from using the FTX tag in League of Legends and Valorant broadcasts because a name and jersey sponsorship would violate Riot’s restrictions about cryptocurrency exchange agreements.

The Washington Post reported today that TSM and FTX have expanded into other areas of esports where event organizers and publishers would allow them to use the moniker. According to the report, one of these endeavors was the company’s foray into Dota 2, in which it acquired Team Undying earlier in the year 2022.

“Prior to FTX, Andy and TSM leadership had no interest in ‘Dota,” stated a former employee. “[But] the FTX people love ‘Dota’ so much, and that’s why TSM got a ‘Dota’ team.”

“This is completely untrue,” responded TSM Spokesperson Sheldon in response to The Post’s questions. “TSM did not pick up a ‘Dota’ team for the benefit of the FTX partnership.”

TSM’s foray into the professional Dota 2 scene

TSM entered the NA Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) in January and signed Team Undying, which finished second in Tour 1 and qualified for the Regional Finals. TSM’s Dota 2 team had an up-and-down season, placing second in Stockholm but last in The International 2022. (TI11).

As mentioned above, the Washington Post reported that current and former workers said TSM entered competitive Dota 2 to please FTX. It was stated to The Post a former employee revealed that prior to the FTX deal, Andy “Reginald” Dinh, the CEO of TSM and its other leaders, had no interest in Dota. On the other hand, the FTX folks liked Dota, which was the complete opposite of the situation.

TSM spokesperson Gillian Sheldon told The Post that it was inaccurate and that TSM did not pick up a Dota squad at FTX’s request.

While the investigation explored Dota 2 player salaries, deals, and the team’s recapitalization, TSM vehemently claimed that it will remain in the professional arena and that it hopes to win NA DPC.

CSGO: KRIMZ sidelined following a hand injury

0

Veteran CSGO player Freddy Johanson aka KRIMZ has been sidelined from Fnatic for an indefinite period of time following a hand injury.

Fnatic revamped their roster before the Major which saw him bring in players from different regions, something that the Swedish organization is not known for. The new roster seemed to be working for them given their impressive display of form in the Rio Major, however, the roster will have to go into the new year with a stand-in that will likely see a break of momentum for the otherwise improving lineup.

Losing KRIMZ will be a big blow for Fnatic as the veteran rifler brought experience as well as firepower to the Internation roster. Following the revamp, Fnatic let go of some of the big names but retained him despite his age, which speaks to his importance as the new roster has been largely built around him as the core.

In a video uploaded on Twitter, KRIMZ revealed the situation.

“I have a hand injury, which I’ve had since two days after the RMR qualification,” KRIMZ said. “Before this Major, I didn’t practice or anything with the team sadly, but it was my own choice to keep on playing at the Major. “It’s basically a nerve in the middle of the hand, it’s getting pinched by the muscle, so the muscle doesn’t repair itself,” “I might see you next year. I hope everything goes ok with the rehab of the hand, thank you for the support.” he added.

He also revealed that the man taking his place will be none other than Fnatic Rising youngster Peppe ‘Peppzor’ Borak. The 20-year-old rifler already has some experience under his belt which came from his brief stints with the serious roster twice before, so it can be argued that he would fit right in without much effort.

Fnatic’s upcoming match is against Bulgarian side 500 in the Elisa Masters Espoo on the 17th of November 2022. They will be playing with Peppzor in said event and all the coming ones heading into 2023 as long as KRIMZ is fit to compete again for which we do not have a confirmed timeline.
