Lead Valorant Dev Responds To Streamer Harassment, Claims They’re Working on Behavior Tools

A clip shared by Australian streamer Taylor Morgan has recently gone viral on social media, showing her being harassed and receiving threats from a stranger while playing Valorant.

In her lengthy X (formerly Twitter) post, Morgan demanded a hardware ban for the player who threatened her while tagging Riot Games.

“The suspensions are not enough,” the streamer said. “Nothing will ever stop these men from acting this way until hardware bans go into play. They should never be able to play the game again”

Riot Games is usually pretty swift on imposing bans on players who verbally abuse or harass other players in their titles. However, these bans are often temporary and last only a few weeks.

“I know you hear us. I know you see us,” Morgan continued. “If this goes unpunished I am taking this as an active act from you that you do not give a single fuck about any of the women and minorities that play your game, and I will rally to boycott.”

Anna Donlon, the Valorant Dev Team Lead, replied to the post a day later, and claimed that they were “taking actions against this account.”

“Our teams are always working on our behavior tools, but we have room to improve…and we will,” Donlon further said.

A segment of the community also criticized Morgan for keeping the harasser unmuted “for content.” Some users shared a clip where Morgan can be seen saying, “The only reason I have him unmuted is for content.”

The VODs of the incident have since been deleted from her Twitch handle.

Epic Games fined €1.1m for in-game advertising in Fortnite

According to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM), game developer Epic Games was fined €1.1m (~£943,530) for allegedly “using unfair commercial practices” in Fortnite in the Netherlands.

After conducting an examination, the ACM discovered language in Fortnite’s in-game store that exploited children’s vulnerabilities. This includes making purchases within the game by utilizing phrases like “Get it now” or “Buy now.” ACM alleges that Epic Games engaged in “an illegal aggressive commercial practice” that resulted in one of two fines of €562,500 because of the wording employed. Another fine of the same amount levied by the ACM concerns the countdown timers for items in the game.

“In the popular game Fortnite, children’s vulnerabilities were exploited and were thus pressured into making purchases. With this decision, we are sending a clear signal: children must be able to play online games without being put under undue pressure. These practices by Epic erode confidence in the digital economy.” said one of the board members.

After the inquiry, the ACM gave Epic Games the order to “reduce the uncertainty” around the availability of things in the Fortnite store and to provide younger players who are under the age of 18 more time to make decisions before making a purchase.

Andrew Tate slammed for defending toxicity in Valorant, demanding ban on female players

Andrew Tate is getting slammed on social media for his misogynistic comments yet again and this time he has chosen to take on the gaming community.

Twitch streamer TaylorMorgan shared a video of herself playing Valorant earlier this week, just after a troll threatened to rape her. The comment stunned and offended the streamer, who ended the game and the video right after. The tragic video attracted attention from the whole community, including that of Valorant’s team lead, Anna Donlon, who assured her that the account would be banned.

Andrew Tate has chosen to speak against the streamer stating “Women join mens spaces and cry and bitch and ruin everything.” .

Andrew Tate has a history of making such comments so it came as a surprise to no one. The community has come together to express their displeasure against Tate’s comment, especially in an industry where he has no standing. Being a person who has been charged with assault, rape, and a plethora of similar crimes in the past, supporting dense comments suggesting “r*pe” fits right in his personality.

While playful banters are a part of the gaming culture, we have seen competitive gamers crossing the lines when things don’t go their way. Toxicity can not be supported under any circumstances and to stand behind a “r*pe” threat makes it far worse. The Top G is yet to come out and defend himself and only time can tell if he chooses to speak up.

How to Unlock Permanent & Exclusive Rewards in Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha

0

Marvel’s brand new card battler, Marvel Rivals, has kicked off its closed alpha, and the hype is real. But hold your horses, it’s only open until May 20th, 2024. Now, before you dive headfirst into the action, you gotta know that your in-game progress won’t make the jump to the official launch.

However, there’s a silver lining: some exclusive rewards you earn during the alpha will be yours to keep forever! If you wanna deck out your collection with these limited-time goodies, you’ll wanna know what they are and how to unlock them. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.

Galacta’s Quest

First up, we’ve got Galacta’s Quest, basically a mini battle pass packed with cosmetic rewards like skins, sprays, and nameplates. But here’s the kicker: only a few of these items will stick around after the alpha ends.

  • Test Elite (Alpha) Nameplate: Prove your alpha skills by reaching level 7 in Galacta’s Quest.
  • Moonlit Witch Scarlet Witch Skin: This one’s for the dedicated grinders who hit level 30 in Galacta’s Quest.
  • Dawn of Legends Title: To earn this prestigious title, you’ll need to be among the top 32 players in the Dawn of Legends 6v6 tournament. Talk about bragging rights!
  • Galactic Glories Spray: It’s all about luck with this one. You might just score a match against the devs themselves in Creator Clash, which happens daily from 6 to 8 PM. If you’re lucky enough to get matched and win, this spray is yours.

How to Climb Galacta’s Quest?

Earning those coveted rewards in Galacta’s Quest is pretty straightforward: just complete daily and weekly missions. The more you play, the more XP you rack up, and the closer you get to unlocking all those sweet, sweet prizes.

No Access? No Problem!

Even if you missed out on getting into the closed alpha, you still have a shot at those permanent rewards. You can either tune into the official Marvel Rivals livestream, where they might be giving away codes, or hit up a friend who’s already in the game and ask for an extra code (if they’ve reached level 6).

So there you have it, your go-to guide for snagging all the permanent rewards in the Marvel Rivals closed alpha. Get out there, show off your skills, and earn those exclusive goodies while you can!

Fortnite Supercharged XP | Battle Pass Boost (Chapter 5 Season 2)

0

The clock’s ticking on Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2, and if your Battle Pass is looking a little bare, Epic Games has thrown you a lifeline: Supercharged XP. This isn’t just another XP weekend – it’s a turbo boost designed to help you snag those coveted skins before they vanish.

How Does Supercharged XP Work?

Think of Supercharged XP as a temporary XP multiplier. Every match, every quest, and every action you take in-game will reward you with more XP than usual. It’s like finding a hidden shortcut on the Battle Pass track.

This isn’t a free ride to Tier 100. Supercharged XP only lasts for a set number of levels. It’s a helping hand to get you back on track, not a cheat code. Once you’ve gained a few levels, the boost will expire.

Maximize Your Supercharged XP

Don’t let this golden opportunity go to waste! Combine Supercharged XP with the remaining weekly quests, match quests, and special event challenges (like the LEGO and Fortnite Festival quests). If you’ve got some V-Bucks and are eager to spend, consider the Perseus Level Up Quest Pack for even more XP potential.

Beyond Supercharged XP: Team Rumble Tip

Supercharged XP

If Battle Royale isn’t your style, give Team Rumble a shot. It’s a faster-paced mode where you can rack up kills and complete quests without worrying about starting from scratch after every elimination.

Remember: Supercharged XP is a limited-time event. Don’t miss out on this chance to catch up on your Battle Pass progress. Get in the game, complete those quests, and unlock those rewards while you still can. The clock is ticking!

BGMI: How to Become a Pro at the Game

BGMI has several game modes with maps like classic Erangel, TDM, Versus AI and so on, but there is a greater purpose at play that dictates the existence of all these modes & that is: Getting more chicken dinners.

Well, we’ve got you covered. Here are some tips that will (hopefully) make you better at the game, and if not, for the best case unleash the professional in you.

  • Feeding the goat before having it for dinner

The first step is to cater to your brain before you begin a game. No one gets up in the morning to jump into a marathon immediately. The same goes here, always hop into a TDM or training ground where the stakes are low, to get warmed up. This helps you feel the gameplay, sets the tone for the matches and helps you be agile.

  • Expert Cartography

The game is half won, when you set yourself up for success by analysing the map thoroughly. Have a plan in mind, know the map well enough to understand where to land. Look at the crowd, be wise and take a call, rather than cold landing and then die holding 10 first aid kits in your hands.

Mazy Hints at a Potential BGMI Tier-1 Team List by Krafton
  • Gun em down

Choose your weapons wisely since various kinds of guns exist in the game. They’re mainly – Meeles, Crossbows, Pistols, SMGs (Sub Machine Guns), LMGs (Light Machine Guns), SG (Shot Guns), AR (Assault Rifles), SR (Sniper Rifles), DMR (Designated Marksman Rifles). You can go Rambo and play the pan only challenge or like a sensible person try and get your hands on an AR & sniper combo, slowly transitioning into an AR / LMG combo in the later stage of the game, where the circle gets smaller.

  • Please make some friends (WE’RE NOT KIDDING)

We don’t judge you, Mr. Sigma male Lone wolf. But BGMI at the end of the game is a team game and playing in squads drastically helps with support and survival in the game, meaning play like a team & look out for your teammates when needed.

  • Go outside and maybe touch some grass

By this, what we mean is don’t be the overexcited player who wants to rush and kill everything in their way. Play the game whilst keeping digital wellbeing in mind and remember that the “key” to winning a match is taking breaks once in a while and remembering to be patient when it comes to engaging. Take cover, be patient and choose your battles wisely.

And yeah, about the grass bit, seriously guys. Go outside. Take a walk once in a while because your backs look like croissants.
Jokes aside, try and follow these practices for getting some Chicken dinners back to back and keep pushing your rank to then flex it on your instagram bio! And while you’re at it don’t forget to give us a like and follow on our page.

Are you ready to transform your M16 into a fully automatic beast on the battlefield? The JAK Patriot conversion kit is the key to dominating your opponents in both MW3 and Warzone. Here’s how you can get your hands on this game-changing attachment and what it means for your combat strategy.

The JAK Patriot: A Burst Rifle’s Evolution

The M16 is well-known for its burst-fire precision, but with the JAK Patriot conversion kit, you can take this classic rifle to new heights. The kit converts the M16 into a fully automatic assault rifle, offering a significant shift in how you engage in firefights.

How to Acquire the JAK Patriot

To unlock the JAK Patriot, you’ll need to complete the Week 7 Challenges in MW3, Zombies, and Warzone. Each game mode presents seven unique challenges, ensuring that players of all preferences have a shot at obtaining this powerful conversion kit.

Understanding the JAK Patriot’s Impact

Once equipped, the JAK Patriot replaces the standard attachment slots on your M16. This means you’ll be trading off customization for the kit’s inherent benefits, which include:

  • Full-Auto Fire: Unleash a continuous stream of bullets without the need to repeatedly pull the trigger.
  • Gun Kick Control: Keep your shots steady and on target even as you hold down the fire button.
  • Recoil Control: Maintain accuracy with reduced weapon kickback.
  • Damage Range: Engage enemies effectively from a greater distance.

However, it’s not all upsides. The JAK Patriot does come with a couple of drawbacks:

  • Reduced Damage: The conversion may slightly lower the damage per bullet.
  • Increased Hipfire Spread: Expect less accuracy when firing from the hip.

Mastering the JAK Patriot

To make the most of the JAK Patriot, you’ll need to adapt your playstyle. The full-auto capability allows for aggressive pushes and sustained fire in close to mid-range combat. However, be mindful of the increased hipfire spread and potentially lower damage output. Positioning and aiming down sights become even more crucial to ensure each bullet counts.

The JAK Patriot is a formidable addition to any player’s arsenal in MW3 and Warzone. By completing the Week 7 Challenges, you can transform your M16 into an automatic powerhouse, capable of controlling the battlefield with its enhanced firing capabilities and stability. Just remember to weigh the pros and cons and adjust your tactics accordingly to fully harness the potential of this conversion kit.

Are you ready to rise to the challenge and claim the JAK Patriot for your own? The battlefield awaits your newfound firepower.
