Riot Games and Amazon are teaming up to throw a live event at the end of the year called RE//LOAD.

RE//LOAD is going to be centered around a variety of content creators, including a Pro-AM tournament with four teams to participate, as it was announced today by Crown Channel on Twitter. The captains of the four competing teams are bnans, Starsmitten, xChocoBars, and Mel, respectively.

The tournament, hosted by Crown and Riot Games, will kick off on December 16th. It will be hosted by Ali “Myth” Kabbani and Jacki Jing, who hosted VCT Stage 1 Masters in Iceland in 2022.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Amazon and the folks at Crown Channel to co-host the RE//LOAD event experience for our Valorant community,” expressed Nikki Lewis, Senior Director of Brand Marketing at Riot Games in a press release.

Four teams, namely Team Undercity, Team Vengeance, Team RGX, and Team Protocol, will battle for the honor of being summoned. According to the Amazon news release, the live event will feature three “Valorant-inspired” activities. DJ Dabin and Mike Dimes will also be performing live at the venue as well.

Shroud and Stewie2k, two players who have shown a desire to return to Valorant Esports, will be competing in this cup for the first time in a long while, and for some fans, it will be love at first sight.

Throughout Riot Games’ catalog of games, Amazon has been a reliable partner for in-game activations, Twitch drops and other events. According to Riot’s Sr. Director of Brand Marketing Nikki Lewis, the decision to host another event in Valorant, with live music and other product launches alongside Crown Channel, was made quickly and without hesitation.

“Valorant lives at the intersection of competitive gaming and up-and-coming music, so partnering with Amazon’s Crown Channel to throw an in-person event like RE//LOAD — both a gaming event, starring some of Valorant’s fan-favorite streamers, and a music event, featuring rising artists like Mike Dimes, Jae Park, and Dabin — was a no-brainer,” she concluded.

Everything about this Atlanta, Georgia event will be broadcast live online. Followers can tune into the RE//LOAD Twitch broadcast to observe the action.

With the Winterfest right on the edge, Fortnite will reportedly get popular basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo according to the latest leaks later attested by the teaser from Epic Gamers themselves. Great news for Fortnite players who can now enjoy a little flavour of NBA when they play the game. 

The former Milwaukee Bucks player will definitely make it to the game however we do not have a timeline. Epic did not announce an exact date for its release but it is predicted that the update will make it to the game by this month as a part of the Winterfest pack and he will not be the only NBA player in the game. 

However, in 2021, Epic partnered with National Basketball Association to bring in one of the all-time greats in LeBron James to the game. It has been one of their most successful ventures to date and marked the beginning of several collaborations to traditional sports.

Epic Games has revealed that Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 4 utilizes Unreal Engine 5.1. This update was released earlier today.

Epic Games’ cohesive approach to strategy is on display with the release of its first game. With its tens of millions of users and the ability to sell virtual goods within the game, Fortnite is the company’s primary source of income.

The developments described in Chapter 4 can be implemented using Unreal Engine, a platform for creating video games. Epic has built Fortnite with Unreal to demonstrate the capabilities of the engine and encourage other developers to adopt it.

Upgrades to the game’s visuals and performance can be found in Unreal Engine 5.1. The release of Unreal Engine 5 this year marks a significant improvement in graphic quality, allowing for more nuanced environments in games like Battle Royale Island.

Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Shadow Maps, and Temporal Super Resolution are just a few of the next-gen Unreal Engine 5 technologies that will help Fortnite Battle Royale stand out on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and cloud.

Epic has updated the Nanite virtualized micro polygon geometry system and virtual shadow maps, paving the way for games and experiences that run at 60 frames per second (fps) on next-gen consoles and suitable PCs. For material-driven animations and deformations using world position offset and opacity masks, Nanite has additionally implemented a programmable rasterizer. This allows artists to program Nanite-based flora with blowing leaves.

Nanite’s geometrical representation of buildings is extremely precise. Specifically, each brick, stone, wood plank, and wall trim is modeled and rendered as part of the building’s millions of polygonal geometry in real time.

The natural environments also have a lot of fine detail. About 300,000 polygons go into modeling each tree, and the same goes for modeling each stone, flower, and blade of grass.

Reflections on glossy surfaces and water are rendered with stunning realism using Lumen’s ray tracing technology.

BGMI servers went into maintenance break despite ban

Krafton, the developers of BGMI, pushed a maintenance break for their BGMI servers earlier this morning and took them down for almost 30 minutes. This action has confirmed that the servers are up and running with developers still checking them from time to time.

BGMI is currently unavailable in India with all the supply cut out due to the ban. The game cannot be downloaded from official application stores and now it seems that only the distribution network has been hampered and not the game itself.

BGMI was banned in a way similar to PUBG Mobile but the actions taken during these two bans are quite different. PUBG Mobile servers were almost instantly closed but BGMI servers had no news of being shut down.

In a recent development, it has been evidently confirmed that the servers are still up and running. This means that Krafton is still maintaining the quality of its services via maintenance breaks and other such things.

The maintenance break that happened today was not officially announced anywhere but players that tried to log in to the game around 12:00 PM were greeted with this message.

The new luxurious weapon skin bundle arriving at Valorant soon promises to be a worthwhile addition to the game. Cryostasis is so named because of the cold, frosty aesthetic it evokes. It may include upgrade tiers with special effects, audio, and a finisher.

The bundle hasn’t been revealed past Riot Games’ social media tease.

We expect to see the introduction of Cryostasis in the upcoming version 5.12 patch for Valorant on December 12th. There will be significant nerfs to the Chamber, along with adjustments to nearly all Valorant agents, in the upcoming patch. 

Although the fix will be released this week, the full rollout will not occur until the following week.
