Esports Betting and How it is Developing in India

0

One of the most popular new ways to gamble online for real money is to bet on a wide range of esports events from around the world. Here, you can learn more about today’s most popular esports.

You can also learn about how to bet on eSports and which online sports betting sites are the best to visit if you live in India.

What exactly is an esport?

An eSport (or electronic sport) is a spectator sport involving two or more teams of players competing against each other in a video game competition (league or tournament) to win a share of a guaranteed cash prize pool.

eSports events are usually held at huge arenas in front of a live audience, plus you can also watch as the action unfolds from various trusted video/live streaming sites, such as Twitch and YouTube. A growing number of fully licensed sports betting websites with markets for these events also stream eSports events.

Where is it possible to bet on eSports events?

If you’re looking for trusted sites that have esports betting in India, the good news is that there is now plenty to choose from. The top 10 eSports betting sites that are worth checking out before trying any others are the following:

  • MegaPari
  • Bet365
  • Betway
  • Dafabet
  • Blue Chip
  • Betwinner
  • Bet Tilt

They all currently have an attractive sign-up bonus up for grabs for all new players, and you can find the full reviews for each site on the official ‘The TopBookies’ website.

What kind of eSports betting markets are there, and what games/events can I bet on?

Some of the most common betting markets that you can generally place a wager on during your average eSports match are Odd/Even Number of Kills, Total Number of Kills, and Outright Match Winner. You can also find one or two other markets, such as First to 5 Kills/10 Kills. Don’t forget that the match can potentially end in a Draw, not just Win/Lose.

Some of the most popular video games that you can place a wager on today include the following famous games:

Is it safe to bet on eSports in India?

Yes. eSports is now a multi-billion-dollar industry, and it’s properly regulated. In other words, it’s just the same as betting on the Indian Premier League (IPL), Formula 1, Spain’s La Liga, or any other major sport.

Also, the Indian sports betting sites that were mentioned above are among the safest in the world. They are fully licensed by one or more of today’s top-tier licensing authorities, and they are protected by what is known as SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology (128-bit or 256-bit).

They also only accept the most secure online payment options that are popular in India, such as Visa, MasterCard, Instant/Direct Bank Transfers, Astro Pay, Much Better, Jeton, Skrill, NETELLER, and Paytm, to name just a few. A couple of these sites also now accept certain major cryptocurrencies.

Valorant: New “Reverie” Skin Bundle Leaked

0

Valorant, Riot’s FPS, has been a resounding success since its release in 2020, thanks to its unique blend of tactical shooting mechanics and ability-based gameplay along with a wide selection of incredible-looking cosmetics that entice the player base to grind the game out.

Dataminers on Twitter have managed to dig up the upcoming Valorant skin bundle ahead of its actual release, and fans are excited to know more about what skins the Reverie bundle will offer.

The new skin collection has been named ‘Reverie’ and features unique upgrades across four levels and three variants, according to the leaks by popular Valorant data miner ‘ValorLeaks’ on Twitter.

The Reverie Skin Bundle has the following weapons :

  • Phantom
  • Guardian
  • Marshal
  • Classic
  • Knife

The set, probably titled Reverie, will feature both ranged and close-combat skins with artwork reminiscent of stained glass murals. Classical aesthetics can be seen in the skins, which is unusual for Valorant. In fact, they’re quite attractive, and when put together, the various skin tones bring to mind a religious mural, the likes of which are often spotted on a church wall.

Reverie debuts alongside the 6.03 Patch which also brings massive nerf changes to Raze and Killjoy’s ability draft. The update is rumored to hit the live servers somewhere around February 14.

As far as one can figure out from the teaser image, the skins from the Reverie bundle won’t feature any sort of animations which indeed makes them a Deluxe bundle. But what makes them an eye-catcher are their aesthetics which has been closely imprinted on the bundle.

The Reverie bundle is expected to hit the store with a price tag of 5100 Valorant Points and if you were to get individual items from the bundle, the guns would cost you around 1275 VP while the Melee comes at 2550 Valorant Points.

Five Expert Tips for Choosing the Best Online Slot Machine

0

Slot games are one of the most popular casino games in both land-based and online gambling sites. This game provides players with anticipation, excitement, and a whole other range of emotions online slots after each spin.

Plus, there are no waiting times for players with slot machines, unlike other games where players need to wait for their turn. This lack of wait time is another reason why many players prefer slot games over other casino games.

Gone are the days when players had to travel to enjoy pokies machines. Nowadays, players can simply go online and start playing real money online slot games. Choosing the right slot machines, however, tends to be a daunting task given the thousands of online slot titles available.

If you are one of those players having a hard time choosing the best online slot machine, then here are five expert tips you can follow.

Pick Your Favorite Theme

Online slot games have different themes. These themes can range from movie-inspired titles to ancient Egyptian storylines. Slot machines may offer multiple bonus rounds and are fast-paced while others have slower faces but offer great top-notch graphics and crisp audio.

Here are some of the common slots themes.

  • Norse mythology/Viking
  • Ancient Egypt
  • Oriental
  • Horror
  • Music
  • Fruit
  • Movie-inspired
  • Book-inspired
  • Alien and Space
  • Irish

Make sure to pick your favorite one or a slot game with a theme you find interesting. Doing so will make your online slot gaming experience more memorable.

Determine How Much You Can Spend on Slots

It’s common for first-time casino players to get carried away playing games. Slot machines, in particular, can be very addictive given how straightforward their game mechanics are. Players having too much fun can sometimes, and sadly may spend more money than what they originally planned or can afford.

Before you start playing slot machines, determine first how much money you can afford to spend. Don’t be tempted to keep on playing real money slot games in the hope of recovering the amount of money you lost.

Plus, make sure to stick to this budget and pick an online slot game within your budget. For example, if you wish to spend one euro per spin, then look for an online slot game with that value offering.

Read Online Slot Reviews

Slots reviews are much like most online reviews: they help consumers or players make well-informed buying decisions.

The same can be said when picking an online slot game. Reviews offer insights into other players’ thoughts and experiences on a specific online slot machine title. Slots reviews will provide you with a glimpse of what you can expect from the game.

These are just some of the questions online slots reviews can answer.

  • Is the game exciting?
  • Are the bonus rounds worth your time?
  • What’s the payout percentage of the slot game?
  • How are the graphics and audio of the slot game?

Likewise, you can also read online casino reviews to find out whether the online casino offers responsive and easy-to-reach efficient customer service. Casino reviews will also help you know about the withdrawal process and timelines.

Know How RTP Rate Works

Return to Player or RTP in short refers to the percentage of the bet money that has to be given to casino players in the long run. RTP is determined by dividing the total wagered amount by all the money already cashed out as winnings.

The RTP rate varies from one slot machine to another but is typically roughly 90% or higher. It is strongly suggested that you avoid an online slot machine with an RTP rate lower than 96% since the house edge is in the casino’s favor.

Take Advantage of the Free Versions

Online slot machines typically offer free versions so players can try the game before shelling out real money. Playing the free versions helps players become familiar with the game rules and have a better feel of how the slot machine works without spending money.

Many players are not keen on trying various slot games as they don’t want to lose money. But the free version helps you determine if it’s the right machine for you.

Once you’re ready to play the real money version, then search for an online casino with generous bonus offerings. Many casinos, after all, give new players amazing sign-up bonuses so they will have more money to use for real-money casino games.

Final Thoughts

Many casino game lovers prefer online slots over other games. But given the many online slot games available these days, it can be difficult to find one that works best for your budget and preferences. We hope that the above five expert tips will be of big help when you choose an online slot game.

Valorant: Raze and Killjoy hit with nerfed heavily in Patch 6.03

0

Riot Games has recently announced the nerfs to Killjoy and Raze agents in the Episode 6 Act 1 update of VALORANT. The update, released last month, includes a variety of changes that aim to balance and enhance the gameplay meta based on community feedback. The update has been launched just before the VCT International Leagues kick off the following month, and it also features a reworked version of the latest map addition, Lotus.

The Nerfs to Raze and Killjoy

Riot Games’ recent Twitter announcement confirmed that two agents in VALORANT, Killjoy and Raze, will be nerfed in the upcoming update. The changes, despite being revealed on Valentine’s Day, could significantly impact these agents’ pick-rates, particularly Raze, who falls under the duelist category. Only time will tell how the nerfs will influence the current meta.

Since Chamber’s recent nerfs, other Sentinel agents, like Killjoy and Cypher, have come back in the game. Duelists, including Raze, Jett, and Reyna, have increased in popularity and are now considered “stable” picks across all divisions.

In December, the ability draft of Killjoy was buffed, which increased the health of her Nanoswarm and Lockdown, her ultimate ability. These nerf seemed to have adversely affected the competitive matches, and Riot has declared their necessary adjustments.

As for Raze, the Boombot’s active time has been reduced to five seconds from ten, making her less efficient at tracking down enemies during long recon missions.

Other Changes in the Update

Apart from the nerfs, the update also introduces Swiftplay, which has passed the beta check and will soon be shipped out to the main game.

The patch notes for the following 6.03 update are as follows:

Agent Updates

Killjoy

  • Turret (E) health decreased 125 >>> 100
    • Reducing the total health of the Turret will allow opponents to have an easier time destroying it, particularly with weaker weapons.
  • Lockdown (X) point cost increased 7 >>> 8
    • We’re happy with Killjoy’s Ult being powerful when opponents don’t have a plan to push or contest it but feel the frequency is too high for the reliability it now offers.

Raze

  • Boom Bot (C) duration decreased 10s >>> 5s

Modes Updates

Swiftplay

  • Remember when we told you the Swiftplay Beta would end in January. We sorta lied. Everyone decided to just keep it on. Please keep sending us your feedback, though!

Social Updates

  • Added Real-Time Text Evaluation (NA only to start) to the Agent Select screen.

Bug Fixes

  • Adjusted Sage, Neon, Jett, and Yoru’s hair heights to fit within our standardized vertical range
  • AI (such as Skye’s Seekers [X]) will now travel through the crouch-only connection on Pearl near the Defender’s spawn area
  • Fixed a bug where KAY/O would sometimes be able to move after being downed during NULL/cmd (X)

Riot Games has taken the community’s feedback into consideration and introduced the necessary changes in the Episode 6 Act 1 update. The nerfs to Killjoy and Raze are expected to bring balance to the game, and the upcoming VCT International Leagues will test the impact of these changes. VALORANT players can expect the game to be more refined and enjoyable, and the new update to take their gameplay experience to the next level.

Steam Account With Largest Game Collection Only Plays Dota 2

0

In the vast and ever-expanding library of video games on Steam, gamers can find virtually any game they desire in only a few clicks. Whether it be action-packed first-person shooters, open-world RPGs, or laid-back simulation games, there is something for everyone.

However, for the Steam user with the largest public Steam library, there’s only one game worth playing on the platform. Despite having the largest Steam game library in the entire world, this user has devoted almost the entirety of his playtime to one game – Dota 2.

At first glance, this may seem like a waste of money and an incredibly boring gaming experience. However, for Steam user ‘Sonix’, Dota 2 is the only game that matters. Having owned over 33,000 games on the gaming platform, the user has spent a whopping 83.32% of his playtime playing the MOBA by Valve.

Sonix has over 6,089 registered hours in Dota 2, and he is still active on the Steam account. Some other games on his most-played list of games include ‘Alien Swarm’, ‘Team Fortress 2’, Euro Truck Simulator 2’, and ‘Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms’. It’s interesting to note that even with a collection of over $334,245 worth of games on Steam, four out of his top five most-played games are actually free-to-play.

Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Valve Corporation. The game has a steep learning curve and its depth, strategy, and competitive nature have made it a cult favorite among gamers around the world and provided it with great replayability that enables players to indulge in the 5v5 title for thousands of hours without a sense of boredom.

In a world where there is an overwhelming amount of choice, it is fascinating to see someone who has found what they truly love and stuck with it. While some may view this as a missed opportunity to explore the vast world of gaming, for Sonix, Dota 2 is all he needs.

GodLike unveil new Valorant roster

0

GodLike Esports on their Instagram handle announced the signing of five players to their Valorant roster ahead of the 2023 Pro Season.

The roster includes the likes of Tejas “Rexy” Kotian, Jude Patrick “Zey” Gunhuran, Norbu “Karam1L” Tsering, Franz “Astro” del Rosario and Shakir “hikkA” Razak.

GodLike Esports entered PC gaming after a successful mobile gaming roster in New State. They had encouraging results with their PUBG Mobile roster, and they hope to have the same level of success with their Valorant roster.

Despite the team’s inability to compete with the likes of Velocity Gaming or Global Esports on a regional level, they were widely regarded as one of India’s top squads thanks to their reliable performance.

Back in September 2021, GodLike Esports parted ways with their Valorant roster, an iteration then led by Vishal “haiVaan” Sharma and men, stating “unfortunate” circumstances following the release of the squad. Rexy re-signs with GodLike Esports after being a part of the previous roster under the GodLike Banner while Hikka reunites with the former whom he played with at XTZ.

Astro joins GodLike after spending almost 4 months of inactivity but once represented Nigma Galaxy. With Astro, Nigma Galaxy finished fourth at the Zotac Cup where they were denied a chance further by FULL SENSE in their Lower Bracket Run of the same.

For Zey, GodLike Esports would be a fresh venture for the 24 year-old after having last played for NAOS Esports.

Despite missing out on the VCT Partnership, GodLike Esports plans on staying in the scene and climbing all the way up through regional tournaments and the forthcoming VCT Ascension which would give teams an opportunity to secure themselves a berth among the top elites.

How a Solid Academic Foundation Can Propel Your Esports Career

0

Do you want to pursue a career in esports? Then you might start thinking that your esports activity and records are the most essential when it comes to this. And indeed, these skills are crucial to success in this domain. However, having a solid academic education comes with many benefits that can propel your esports career. You might not see the benefits, but they are many. An esports career is not only about gaming skills and talent but about your abilities too.

So, are you wondering how to work in esports? Can you just start with an esports internship? But above this, what is the power of education? How can a solid academic foundation propel your esports career? Let’s find out.

Time Management

You might feel that if you sign up for college, you learn nothing there that could help you in your future esports career. However, things are a little bit different than they may seem. So, to excel academically, you need to be organized, disciplined, and have great time management skills. Attending classes that are scattered through your schedule, writing papers, and collaborating with peers while having a social and personal life too is challenging.

However, it is exactly through these moments that you learn how to manage your time effectively. And all these skills are transferable to your esports career. You learn to balance your responsibilities with other activities you want to do and this will help you tremendously. You can hire a writer to write my essay or experts from Edubirdie to deliver an admission essay from professional writers. Which will help you meet all your academic demands. Acquiring time management skills does not happen overnight, so asking for help is always recommended. Either way, you learn to follow a schedule, something you will need to do when you will start your career in esports. You will have a rigorous training schedule, but also competition obligations to meet. You will learn how to balance all your obligations, hobbies, and passions and the time for each of them.

Cognitive Abilities

At first glance, you may wonder if you need any cognitive abilities when playing video games and making a career out of it. Well, yes, you need to. To be successful in this domain, you do not only need gaming experience and talent, but cognitive abilities and skills that help you make the best decision on the spot. Many unpredictable things can happen in a match. You need excellent decision-making skills, but also problem-solving and critical thinking.

And education stimulates exactly these skills, as they are crucial and determine the outcome of a match. Getting an education and going to college helps you develop a sharp mind. It helps you learn how to adapt to different scenarios and situations, but also analyze them effectively and make decisions under pressure. Which you will need to do within competitions in your esports career.

Communication and Teamwork

When you will start your career in esports, the chances are that you will be part of a team. You will participate with your teammates in contests and win prizes if you manage to progress. Well, this progress and success are fueled by the synergy, communication, and teamwork within the team. Esports teams require excellent and effective communication and strong teamwork to succeed.

And you develop these skills during college when you will have collaborative papers to work on with your peers. You might have group projects or presentations to do as part of your assignments, which will help you develop your communication and teamwork skills. They increase your ability to work well with others, which is essential for achieving objectives when you are part of an esports team.

Final Thoughts

If you want to build a career in esports, you may think that only your gaming skills, experience, and talent matter. However, even though these skills are indeed essential, you need others too. Skills that you develop while signing up for college and getting an education. You learn to manage your time, as you need to balance your professional and personal life.

You develop cognitive abilities and skills like problem-solving, strategy, analysis, or critical thinking skills. You learn how to communicate effectively and be a great team player. All these skills and abilities are developed during college years and they are transferable to your esports career. Education is powerful and it helps you build a strong foundation that will propel your esports career.

VCT 2023 LOCK//IN Day 1 Recap

0

The VCT 2023 LOCK//IN got underway last night at Sao Paulo in Brazil. A total of 32 teams entered the competition to grab the LOCK//IN Championship title alongside a lion’s share of $100,000 USD from the prize pool.

The first two matches were played between KOI and NRG followed by Detonation FM and Giants both played on LAN in Brazil. NRG and Giants both advanced onto the ROund of 16 while Detonation FM and KOI were sent packing home due to the format being a single elimination.

Below we have jotted a quick breakdown of events between these four teams in Brazil at the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN

NRG Vs KOI : (Best of 3, Played on : LAN, Single Elimination Bracket)

1. NRG ban Ascent

2. KOI ban Split

3. NRG pick Icebox

4. KOI pick Haven

5. NRG ban Fracture

6. KOI ban Lotus

7. Pearl was left over

Map 1 : Icebox (Picked and won by : NRG, Final Score : 13-11)

KOI’s Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko and his men came alive on NRG’s map pick, with the former on Sova scoring a triple kill haul to help enable a 9-3 start to the map for his team. NRG showed signs of life toward the latter portion of the first half and clawed back to post eight rounds of their own thanks to Sam “s0m” Oh and his heroics which halted KOI’s onslaught.

As we speak about the onslaught forced upon by KOI, the European-CIS side were hit by the 9-3 curse with NRG successfully being able to chart a comeback into the map and go 1-0 up in the series.

Map 2 : Haven (Pick : KOI, Winner : NRG, Final Score : 13-9)

On Haven, no side got off to a commanding start with NRG and KOI having traded rounds back and forth. But gradually it seemed as if NRG were the better team to have posted unrelenting efforts to bag the first half in their favor with Ardis “ardiss” Svarenieks going berserk on his Jett pick, picking off on KOI’s defenses.

The first half ended with NRG beating KOI to settle on 8-4. Early trading of rounds gave KOI a chance to run away with 4 consecutive rounds over NRG on their attack but the North Americans began to leave no stone unturned when it came to locking out KOI off from the blast sites.

NRG comfortably cruised to a 13-9 win over KOI as they advanced onto the Round of 16 where they play Giants in 3 days.

Detonation FM Vs Giants : (Best of 3, Played on LAN, Single ELimination Bracket)

Map Veto :

DFM ban Split

GIA ban Fracture

DFM pick Haven

GIA pick Icebox

DFM ban Lotus

GIA ban Ascent

Pearl was left over

The second match of the VCT//LOCK IN 2023 Brazil was played between DetonatioN FM and Giants Gaming. DetonatioN added two new players, while Giants added star fragger nukkye, hoody, and IGL rhyme to their active roster in the transfer window.

Throughout the Best of 3, Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas and his men never let DFM have the honeymoon period to come to life with their new roster. The Giants were instrumental in picking both maps over Detonation with both seemingly played in a one-sided affair.

13-4 and 13-7 read the score lines for both Haven and Icebox in favor of the Giants as they now lock horns with NRG in the Round of 16 bracket. Detonation have been eliminated from the tournament due to the event being a single elimination which itself makes the tournament brutal.

The VCT 2023 LOCK//IN tournament continues today with 3 star-studded match-ups scheduled. FunPlus Phoenix plays Karmine Cops while BBL Esports take on DRX and to end the day, we will see a new faced Cloud9 take on Paper Rex.
