Melee Weapon in Fortnite: What Is It and How to Use?

0

There are numerous types of weapons available in Epic’s popular battle royale title Fortnite. One of them is the melee weapon as they seem pretty cool in hand. In this article, we will discuss what types of melee weapons are available in Fortnite and how to use them.

What are Melee Weapons in Fortnite?

Melee weapons in Fortnite are weapons that are used for close combat situations, where players need to engage in hand-to-hand combat with opponents. These weapons are designed to deal damage to opponents who are within a short range of the player.

Those melee weapons can be found in various locations such as chests, on the ground, and in supply drops. They can also be obtained by eliminating other players who are carrying them.

Let’s take a look at the different Melee Weapons in Fortnite:

  • Spear: The spear is a rare melee weapon in Fortnite that deals moderate damage to opponents. It has a long reach and can be used to poke at enemies from a safe distance.
  • Baseball Bat: The baseball bat is a rare melee weapon in Fortnite that deals high damage to opponents. It has a slow attack speed but can be used to knock back enemies.
  • Crowbar: The crowbar is a common melee weapon in Fortnite that can be found in buildings and other locations. It deals moderate damage to opponents.
  • Sword: The sword is an epic melee weapon in Fortnite that deals high damage to opponents. It has a fast attack speed and can be used to quickly take down enemies.
  • Katana: The katana is a rare melee weapon in Fortnite that deals high damage to opponents. It has a fast attack speed and can be used to quickly take down enemies.
  • Pickaxe: The pickaxe is the default melee weapon in Fortnite. It can be used to harvest resources and deal damage to opponents.

How to use Melee Weapons in Fortnite?

Follow the steps mentioned below to use melee weapons properly:

  • Equip the melee weapon: You can equip a melee weapon by pressing the corresponding button on your controller or keyboard. The default key bind to equip a melee weapon is “1” on PC.
  • Approach the enemy: In order to use a melee weapon, you need to be within close range of your opponent. Approach your enemy by moving towards them.
  • Aim and attack: Once you are close enough to your opponent, aim your melee weapon at them by pointing your crosshairs toward them. Then, press the attack button to swing your weapon at the enemy. The default key bind for attacking with a melee weapon is the left mouse button on the PC.
  • Dodge and block: If your opponent is also using a melee weapon, you may need to dodge or block their attacks by moving or using the right mouse button on the PC.
  • Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the enemy is defeated: Keep attacking and dodging/blocking until your opponent’s health is reduced to zero and they are eliminated.

VLT’s Journey in VCL SA: Exclusive Interview with Owner Manoj Kashyap

Velocity Gaming, one of India’s leading Esports organizations, recently announced the addition of two world-renowned Valorant players, Adam “ec1s” Eccles and Domagoj “Doma” Fancev, to their active roster. This move comes as a significant boost to the Indian Esports community and the Velocity Gaming squad.

In this exclusive interview with TalkEsport, Mr Manoj Kashyap aka VLT Sentinel, the Owner of Velocity Gaming, discusses the team’s journey in the South Asia VCL tournament, their motivation, and the challenges they face.

TE: What do you think are the biggest challenges your team will face during this tournament?

VLT Sentinel: Lack of practice mostly as we took time to finalize our imports. We don’t have enough practice time to build a good foundation on maps and agent pools.

Velocity Gaming debuted with their new roster at the VCL and defeated God’s Reign in their opener. India’s leading Esports organizations had earlier announced the addition of two world-renowned Valorant players, Adam “ec1s” Eccles and Domagoj “Doma” Fancev, to their active roster. This move comes as a significant boost to the Indian Esports community and the Velocity Gaming squad.

Q : Who do you think are the strongest teams in this tournament, and how do you plan to beat them?

VLT Sentinel: OG, GR, RGE, I mean teams at this level would not be easy opponents, we have never focused on building on something for 1 particular team it was always a plan to win the entire series. Just stick to the basics, focus on communication and trust your instincts.

Q. Can you contrast VLT’s previous iteration with the current one? What do ec1s and Doma bring to the table that previous rosters failed to..

VLT Sentinel: I would say loads of experience and calmness overall, both of them played valorant at the highest level possible and played amongst the top 5 teams in the world so the experience they bring and the different thought processes they bring to the table is unmatched.

Adam “ec1s” Eccles, along with Domagoj “Doma” Fancev, who is a veteran In-Game Leader (IGL) has competed for elite international teams such as Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and 100 Thieves.

Q. What role does Amaterasu play going forward?

VLT Sentinel: Anuj is currently recovering from a serious back injury. I am sure he has a lot of valorant left in him. We will try and accommodate him to the best of our ability once he’s fully recovered. For now, he’s helping our coach DAV and IGL ec1s with the information he has regarding our region, play style etc.

Q. A plethora of Indian teams are turning their heads to International players, will that trend hold up

VLT Sentinel: It’s not easy to fund and run INT’L players for the long term, PC esports itself is difficult to monetise plus the INTL players cost more than our local talent so it’s definitely a money problem more than anything, that being said to achieve the larger goal we don’t see a way around this other than to invest in them.

Q. What’s the team motivation going into VCL? How have things shaped so far with the new roster?

VLT Sentinel: Motivation obviously is to join GE on the main stage and hopefully relieve VAL CLASSICO on the VCT PACIFIC level, it’s a long way out but this is where anyone has to start looking at all the other teams invest so much into this ecosystem where 3 years back where we sadly had 10 teams is really encouraging for me. Coming to my new line it’s been really good so far both players were able to adjust to Indian conditions quickly so looking good so far.

Q. How different is it for Indian players to play with International members than a full Indian roster? Were there any issues highlighting language barriers?

VLT Sentinel: Communication is a major part of FPS games and in clutch situations, you tend to speak your mother tongue. To come out of that and talk in English was not easy but my players put in the hard work needed.

Q. If you were to talk about scrims and other practice factors, how efficient would you rate your team on a scale of 1-10?

VLT Sentinel: Scrims would be 7/10, and other practice fronts would be 9/10. The idea is to get them both to be a 10/10. It’s a work in progress.

Q. Unfortunately, VLT didn’t make it to the franchising, how did you all take it from there all the way to playing your first match in VCL?

VLT Sentinel: Riot had a very comprehensive selection process, I knew it would be difficult for VLT from day 1 itself when I looked at the RFP.so to be honest we were kinda prepared for it but all we wanted to know the road map to franchising if we did not get selected and now that we know we are super excited for VCL.

Velocity won their VCL opener against God’s Reign and will play True Rippers in their next match of Group A. The top 3 from every group move on to the playoffs while the bottom 3 are eliminated from the VCL Split 1.

Tom Brady and MrBeast Collaboration in the Works? Details Inside

0

Tom Brady, widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in American football history, has sent shockwaves across social media platforms with a recent tweet that featured him alongside popular YouTuber, Jimmy “MrBeast”. Fans have been quick to speculate that a potential collaboration between the two might be in the works.

MrBeast, who has faced criticism in recent months for allegedly exploiting people in need to generate views and content, found an unlikely supporter in the form of Brady. The tweet from the former NFL star read, “Thanks for all you do,” followed by a couple of folded hand emojis.

Speculation on Social Media

The tweet has sparked a frenzy on social media, with many fans expressing excitement over the possibility of a Brady x MrBeast collaboration. However, others have criticized Brady for supporting MrBeast amidst the recent controversies surrounding his videos.

One user even went as far as to suggest that Brady’s legacy as a football player would be overshadowed by the content he makes, while another suggested that the picture “proved” that MrBeast was the Antichrist.

Despite the backlash, popular esports organization 100 Thieves tweeted in support of the potential collaboration, saying that they were excited to see what the future holds.

Tom Brady’s Legacy

Tom Brady has enjoyed immense success in his career as a football player, winning seven Super Bowls and being named MVP five times. His influence on the sport has been unparalleled, and he has been widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of all time.

However, with his recent foray into the world of content creation, it remains to be seen how his legacy will be remembered. If a collaboration with MrBeast does come to fruition, it could be a turning point in Brady’s career and cement his status as a media mogul.

MrBeast’s Crticism

MrBeast, on the other hand, has faced criticism in recent months over his videos that allegedly exploit people in need. While his philanthropic efforts have been widely praised, some have questioned the ethics of using people’s struggles as content for YouTube videos.

The controversy has polarized the online community, with some fans defending MrBeast’s actions and others calling for more accountability from content creators.

The Future of YouTube

Regardless of the outcome of the potential collaboration between Tom Brady and MrBeast, it is clear that the world of YouTube and online content creation is rapidly evolving. With more and more people turning to social media for entertainment and information, content creators have a significant influence on society.

It remains to be seen how the industry will evolve in the coming years, but one thing is certain: the influence of YouTube and its creators is only going to continue to grow.

What is Angle Snapping in Valorant? Is It Bannable?

0

Riot Games’ flagship first-person shooter Valorant is an extremely competitive title that requires players to have precise aim and hit consistent flicks to be able to reach the top levels of the game. However, most players are prone to errors in their vertical aiming when trying to hit flicks in Valorant. This is where ‘Angle Snapping’ comes into play.

What is Angle Snapping in Valorant?

For the uninitiated, Angle Snapping is an aiming mechanic in Valorant (and other FPS games) that has been a hot topic within the gaming community recently. It is a feature that’s available in certain mouse programs that utilize predictive algorithms to eliminate small, incidental movements in vertical directions, resulting in a smoother and more precise horizontal mouse movement.

This can often make flicks much easier to hit since your crosshair is much more likely to be already on the enemy’s head if you’re flicking across the screen on the same horizontal level. However, is this setting bannable in Valorant?

Valorant: Is Angle Snapping Bannable?

While Angle Snapping can certainly be used to gain an unfair advantage over your opponents, it can’t get you banned from Valorant. It isn’t regarded as an aim assist by Vanguard, which is why it doesn’t get detected as a cheat.

Also, it goes without saying that Angle Snapping alone can’t make you a better Valorant player. You still need to practice regularly if you want to be able to hit consistent flicks in the game. However, it can help you if you’re struggling with keeping your mouse movements horizontal and maintaining your crosshair at head level.

That’s everything you need to know about Angle Snapping and Valorant and whether or not it can get you banned. If you want to learn more about Angle Snapping and how to enable it, check out our guide here.

How to use Angle Snapping in Valorant?

0

It’s common practice for players of competitive multiplayer games like Valorant, a first-person shooter, to experiment with a wide variety of options in order to find the optimal balance between fun and challenge.

Using Angle Snapping while moving the cursor around can help players maintain their crosshair levels. Some versions of gaming mice include it, and you can enable Angle Snapping from the embedded software itself.

Valorant offers a plethora of options for optimal gameplay. Believe it or not, some software choices from industry-standard mice can help players hit their headshots faster and better. This all can be achieved by downloading the software from your brand’s official website which is quite user-friendly and easy to adjust.

Angle Snapping is a gaming mouse feature that improves enemy snapping. This feature lets players move their mouse laterally. This feature stabilizes the crosshair for headshots during small jerks.

Your mouse’s angle-snapping function is an external add-on. It’s an efficient aid for keeping your aim steady as you switch targets with a wrist twist.

There is no angle-snapping option in VALORANT’s menus; you’ll need to break into the bundled software with your gaming mouse. It won’t take you long to locate the angle-snapping option in your mouse’s preferences.

Soon after, VALORANT will have the ability to use angle snapping, and you won’t be permanently barred from doing so.

Most high-end gaming mice, and typically those of S-tier leaders of the industry, have the unique feature of “Angle Snapping,” which helps stabilize movement and keeps the cursor moving in a straight line even if the user moves their arm slightly.

As seen in Corsair’s software which goes by the name “iCue”

By disregarding erratic hand movements, it is able to accurately anticipate where the mouse will go next. In-game accuracy can be improved by activating this function, and it’s also helpful for players of all skill levels.

While Angle Snapping is not a configurable option in Valorant, it can be activated via the mouse’s manufacturer’s bundled software. Players may find that the option is grayed out or completely missing from the software, indicating that it is incompatible with the mouse.

Angel Snapping can currently be accessed if you have  purchased your gaming mouse from the brands listed below:

  • Republic of Gamers
  • Lioncast
  • Corsair

Angel Snapping exclusively requires using bundled software as mentioned above and is not a part of Valorant’s available features. We highly recommend players to install the bundled softwares and not other third-party ones as they might conflict with the game’s anti-cheat resulting in a permanent ban.

We at TalkEsport are not responsible if you stumble across any mishap if ever a third-party software is used to enable Angel Snapping.
