FaZe Clan’s Rain becomes longest serving CSGO player for a single-team

FaZe Clan’s Håvard “rain” Nygaard is now the longest-serving Counter-Strike player for a single team overtaking Elige’s stint of 3013 days for Team Liquid.

Back in 2016, FaZe Clan acquired the G2 roster to kick off their journey in CS esports, a team that rain was a part of. Over the years, FaZe Clan went through serious roster changes with the organization fighting to find some consistency, while they went on to achieve great things, it took them 8 years to bring home a major.

FaZe Clan had a different look to their team now and then as they were quick to make roster changes when results weren’t coming their way and through every iteration of the team, rain was a name that had been there since the inception and remains a pillar of consistency to this day.

Touted as one of the best riflers in the world back in the day, rain may not be a superstar unlike some of the names that have donned the FaZe colors in the past, however, he has proven on the biggest stages that he is capable of going toe to toe with the best of the best. During his tenure with FaZe, the Norwegian has picked up 4 MVPs, one of which came at the PGL Antwerp Major in 2022.

faze clan vs g2 iem katowice 2024
FaZe recently picked up IEM Chengdu.

As the clock ticks, rain hits 29 in 2024 but has shown little to no signs of slowing down, especially with FaZe picking up IEM Chengdu in remarkable fashion with rain being a consistent performer for them every step of the way. By the looks of things, rain will put on the FaZe jersey for a few more years while taking his record of most days on a single to a new height.

Will Gray Zone Warfare Be on PS5 and Xbox?

Gray Zone Warfare

Previously, Madfinger Games’ officials showed interest in releasing the game on consoles. According to them, the primary target of the Madfinger Games is to first establish the game on PC.

Once they procure Gray Zone Warfare’s PC launch, they will start focusing on its console launch. While this type of game is hard to release on consoles like PS5 and Xbox, we hope that the developers have some big plan when it comes to the launch of Gray Zone Warfare on consoles.

Valorant Challengers EMEA: Promotion & Relegation System Explained

0

Stage One of Valorant Champions Tour 2024 is well underway, and some of the best teams from throughout the region are battling it out for a shot at the upcoming Masters Shanghai. With the current VCT season going on in full swing, Riot Games has revealed the finer details of the promotion and relegation system of Valorant Challengers EMEA.

Valorant Challengers EMEA Promotion & Relegation System: What You Need To Know

In a recent blog post, Riot Games has disclosed how the promotion and relegation system of Valorant Challengers EMEA will work.

The EMEA promotion tournament is scheduled to take place from May 4th to May 7th, and will consist of the following teams:

  • The top four Premier teams for their respective zones (Except the IBIT, which will send the top four teams from Spain, Italy, and Portugal).
  • Two relegated teams from the respective Challengers League.
  • Either the top four teams from the region’s VALORANT Regional Circuit (VRC) or the winning team from the VRC (Regions with no VRC will only include the top four Premier teams alongside the two relegated teams)

Format

The first stage of the promotion and relegation tournament will feature a single-elimination bracket. If there are four VRC teams in the tournament, then the top four Premier teams and the VRC teams will be a part of this bracket. Among them, only one Premier team and one VRC team will make it to the second stage.

The second stage will follow a double-elimination bracket, with the winning Premier team and the winning VRC team taking on the relegated teams in best-of-three games. The top two teams in the second stage will make their way to VALORANT Challengers League Split 2.

In the scenario where five teams are in contention—four from the Premier League and one from the VRC— the Premier-qualified teams will engage in a best-of-three single elimination bracket, while the lone representative from the VRC league earns automatic seeding into the GSL stage.

Fortnite Leaks: OG Chapter 2 Return Rumors and Midas Speculations

0

Rumors are swirling within the Fortnite community as a leaked image, allegedly depicting Epic Games’ 2024 roadmap, has surfaced on 4chan. Could we be in for a blast from the past? The image spotlights key art for Chapter 2 Seasons 1, 2, and 3, fueling speculation about a potential return to the fan-favorite era of Fortnite.

Fortnite leaks showcase three seasons of OG Chapter 2 returning, Midas might return during them

This wouldn’t be entirely unprecedented. Epic Games has previously hinted at revisiting “OG Fortnite” after overwhelmingly positive player reactions to the late-stage Chapter 4 Season 5 experience. The leaked roadmap aligns with these earlier hints, making a Chapter 2 revival seem even more plausible.

While the fate of Chapter 1 remains shrouded in mystery, veteran leakers are fairly confident about Chapter 2’s return. One question on everyone’s mind is whether Midas, the enigmatic figure who captured players’ hearts in Chapter 2, Season 2, will also make a comeback.

Midas: Agent of Chaos or Master of the Loop?

Midas’s role in the Fortnite narrative is fascinating and complex. His relentless ambition to break the Loop and his resurrection in Chapter 5, Season 2 have established him as a key player in the unfolding storyline. If Chapter 2 returns, it’s highly probable that Midas will once again be pulled into the fray, perhaps even renewing his attempts to shatter the Loop.

Although this is largely speculation, Midas’s motivations and his absence of any direct opposition with the Imagined Order out of the picture open up intriguing possibilities. With power vacuums to fill, what will Midas’s next move be?

The OG Experience: A Separate Mode?

While leaks suggest that the OG Chapter 2 experience could be offered as a separate mode, Epic Games has yet to confirm this. If history is any guide, the throwback content might surface in Chapter 5, Season 5 (update v32.00).

Fortnite Chapter 5 Glitch: No-Damage Issue with Shotguns Revealed

0

Fortnite Chapter 5 continues to stir up controversy with its problematic shotgun mechanics. A recent viral clip on Reddit has exposed yet another frustrating glitch that’s robbing players of well-deserved eliminations – shots from shotguns inexplicably failing to register damage.

In the clip, a seasoned player finds their Hammer Pump Shotgun shockingly ineffective against an opponent. Zero damage is dealt despite what should have been surefire hits. The player’s sarcastic “I guess my aim is just bad” comment resonated deeply with the Fortnite community, as many are all too familiar with similar shotgun malfunctions.

The ensuing discussions have revealed that the glitch may not be exclusive to the Hammer Pump Shotgun; rather, all shotguns in Chapter 5 Season 2 seem to be plagued. This revelation further compounds the mounting frustration players are feeling regarding the current state of combat.

Why Are Fortnite Shotguns Glitching?

While Epic Games is yet to offer a formal explanation, a possible culprit for this no-damage glitch could be the Movement Foregrip Weapon Mod. Some players have reported that temporarily dropping and re-equipping their shotgun fixes the issue, hinting that it might be linked to how the game recognizes weapons.

This issue is a significant blow to the integrity of Fortnite’s combat system. Shotguns are a core element of close-quarters engagements, and these glitches undermine the skill and precision that should be rewarded. The Fortnite community eagerly awaits a response and a permanent fix from Epic Games to address this increasingly problematic issue.

Stalwart Esports Reveals New PUBG Mobile Lineup for PMSL 2024 CSA Spring

0

In a strategic move that sent shockwaves through the Esports community, Stalwart Esports has announced its revamped PUBG Mobile lineup on the 20th of April, 2024. The departure of the former Mongolian squad earlier this year, despite their meteoric rise to global fame under the Stalwart banner, left enthusiasts reeling with disbelief. However, the organization wasted no time in assembling a new formidable team, predominantly comprising talents hailing from Mongolia, aiming to uphold its legacy of dominance within the region.

The spotlight now shifts to the impending PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) 2024 CSA Spring event, slated to kick off on the 22nd of May, boasting the participation of top-tier teams vying for supremacy. Notably, the top five contenders from this league will clinch coveted spots in the Esports World Cup (PMWC) 2024.

Recent developments saw the former members of Stalwart Esports finding a new home with Falcon Esports after a fruitful tenure spanning over two years. Despite their commendable track record, their debut with Falcon in the PMGO 2024 tournament witnessed a rather modest performance, signaling a new chapter for both parties involved.

The roster makeover introduces five dynamic players to the Stalwart Esports family:

  • Crita
  • Fearless
  • Kirito
  • LEO
  • Skryy

Of this quintet, LEO and Skryy emerge as seasoned veterans, boasting a wealth of experience garnered through participation in numerous prestigious tournaments over the past four years. The trio of Crita, Fearless, and Kirito, on the other hand, represent the emerging talents, having previously showcased their skills under the banner of Astra Academy. Noteworthy is Skryy’s return to Stalwart Esports following a brief hiatus, having initially joined the club in 2023 before a brief stint elsewhere.

Fresh off their triumph in the PUBG Mobile Dew National Championship 2024, where they outshone formidable opponents such as 4Merical Vibes, Sky Force, and IHC, the revamped squad has already made its mark. Their commendable third and fourth-place finishes in MESA Premier and PUBG Mobile Community Stars Season 2, respectively, underscore their potential as contenders to watch out for.

Notable among the recruits is LEO, whose journey in PUBG Mobile Esports dates back to 2019. His contributions to previous organizations, notably ZEUS Esports (now IHC) and Mabetex Esports, have been instrumental in securing podium finishes and high rankings in premier tournaments. Stalwart Esports, with its rich history of triumphs in South Asia, is poised to extend its reign with this new lineup, building upon past glories that include a runner-up finish in the Global Championship 2023.

As the countdown to PMSL 2024 CSA commences, all eyes are on Stalwart Esports, as they embark on a quest to maintain their hegemony in the fiercely competitive Esports landscape.
