How to Check Play Time in Valorant?

0

Valorant has garnered a huge player base ever since its release in June 2020. The first-person shooter quickly established itself as a prominent game due to its fine balance between ‘tactical shooter’ and ‘agent abilities’ aspects of the game. Having played this game for hours, a question recently crossed my mind – How to check the playtime in Valorant? I am sure some of you might also have the same question. Don’t worry, I have the answer you are looking for.

Unlike Steam, the Riot Games launcher does not show us how many hours we have played their game, but there is a way we can track the status of our gameplay. Here is how you can check the amount of time spent in Valorant:

  • Visit Tracker.gg
  • Click on ‘Valorant’ under ‘All Games’
  • Now click on ‘Sign in with Riot ID’
  • Enter your Riot Games Account details
  • Now click ‘Authorize’

You should now see all your stats from Valorant. Although there is no way to see the overall time you have spent in Valorant, you can still see the time you have spent in different game modes. If you add up all the time you spent in different game modes then you should have an approximate idea of how much time you have spent in total. Make sure to select ‘All Acts’ otherwise, you will see the stats just from the current Act.

You can also track a lot of other stats like KDA, kills with different weapons, win-loss ratio, maps you won the most, your most played maps, and much more via tracker.gg.

This site can give you much needed insights to improve your gameplay. So what are you waiting for, go get to know which agent suits you the best so you can dominate the competitive matches.

In a recent announcement on their official X handle, Riot Games introduced their new Executive Producer, Andy Ho. With this announcement, Riot Games also confirmed a feature they are working on for the Valorant Replay System. Keep reading to know more.

In the announcement/update video posted on X, Riot Games has explained how they work on each aspect of Valorant. They talked about how the competitive map pool will be rotated and what their approach is when balancing agent abilities and the tactical shooter aspect of the game.

Riot Games also confirmed that they are working on a Replay system for Valorant. They also showed a short clip of the ‘Prototype’ Replay system. Despite this, Marcus Reid, Valorant’s Technical Lead explained that the replay system is “nowhere near launch.” This suggests that the replay system is still in the works and needs some ironing out. He went on to explain that the game was never developed for a replay system. Their original aim while developing the game was to “maximize performance, stability, and competitive integrity.”

Riot Games Announces Valorant Replay System

Reid further explained the challenges they are facing while developing the replay system over a comparison video of real-time gameplay and the prototype replay system they currently have. This confirms Reid’s earlier statement suggesting the feature is nowhere close to being released.

Just the news of a replay system being in the works has created a lot of hype in the community. It would be exciting to see an accurate version of the replay system in the game. Having said this, Riot Games has not indicated when we can expect to see the working replay system. Be on the lookout for the upcoming 8.11 patch for Valorant in early June.

Riot Games have recently released a post on the official X handle, giving us a glimpse of the direction they are planning for our beloved first-person shooter – Valorant. They also announced a new executive producer to guide them further. Keep reading to know more.

In a post shared on their official X handle on May 21, Riot Games introduced Andy Ho as their new executive producer. Andy Ho is not new to the organization as he has been a Senior Director of Game Direction since April 2021. Andy has been a part of Riot Games since 2009. In a 1 year sabbatical Andy took from Riot Games during 2016-2017, he worked on Product Insights at Phoenix Labs.

While the previous Executive Producer at Riot Games, Anna Donlon has not left the the organization, she will be working on other aspects of the game and managing the Valorant team taking the role of Valorant Studio Lead.

In addition to Andy Ho’s introduction as an Executive Producer. Riot Games also announced a huge update to the game which is expected in June. This update will be about “map rotations, balance, skins, and replays.” Yes, you read it right, replays are coming to Valorant.

While Andy Ho brings a ton of experience to the table and is more than qualified to take the role of Executive Producer, it will be exciting to see the direction he plans to take Valorant on. Having said this, keep your eye out for the update in June.

New Twitch Feature Is Letting Users Hide Suggestive and Mature Content

A new feature on Twitch will let users fully personalize their experience, even down to the ability to blur the thumbnails of streams that include explicit content.

Since the emergence of the hot tub meta, Twitch has been facing a backlash as such streams were pulling more viewers than actual video game streams. While Twitch did its best to bring the situation under control, suffice it to say that it wasn’t completely subdued.

“Hide content labeled with CCLs: Choose whether you see content labeled with Content Classification Labels when browsing and searching on Twitch. Thumbnail Blurring: Blur out preview thumbnails of content labeled with the Sexual Themes CCL. Visit your new Content Display Preferences, located under your Profile settings to manage these settings.” read their Tweet.

If you’re not happy with the new filters, you’ll have to manually adjust them as this policy is now the default for users. Just go to your profile’s settings and select “Content Preferences.” You can then tweak anything to your heart’s content to get the most out of your viewing experience.

As competitors keep on growing, Twitch has been making subtle changes across its platform to make the user experience more pleasant. Unless you are interested in suggestive content, filters are a good way to keep them out of your way and given they are enabled by default, users on the platform who are only looking for video game streams will have a better experience when browsing through the platform.

Valorant Devs Reveal Patch 8.11 Changes, Haven’s Return, Replay System, & More

0

On May 21st, the developers behind Valorant announced several major changes coming to the title shortly. The announcement sheds light on some of the contents of the upcoming patch 8.11, map pool changes, replay system, and more.

To kick things off, the devs announced a bunch of changes to the Agents that they plan on introducing to the game via the upcoming patch 8.11. These include buffs to Iso, Reyna, and Neon, alongside some nerfs to Raze and her Blast Packs.

However, what Valorant players are perhaps looking forward to the most is the change to the active competitive map pool of the title. Through their announcement, Riot Games confirmed that Haven will be making its return to the Valorant map rotation with patch 8.11 in early June 2024.

With the re-entry of Haven into Valorant, Breeze and Split will be leaving the map rotation. The empty slot in the map pool will presumably be filled with the new Valorant map ‘Bastion’ that is likely to be unveiled at the VCT Masters Shanghai finals, which is scheduled to take place on June 9, 2024.

Lastly, the developers revealed that they were actively working on a replay system for Valorant and also showcased a prototype to the community, but it doesn’t seem that fans will be able to see it in-game soon.

Valorant’s Tech Lead, Marcus Reid, further explained the problems that they’re currently facing with the replay system.

“For example, if you’re viewing a replay, time might be paused, and you might want to view a specific round in a match. Unreal gives us a lot for free on replays, but we didn’t plan for these scenarios up front. There are a plethora of issues with maps, abilities, weapons as well as visual and audio effects that we need to work through to make them replay-ready,” Reid said.

He then shared clips from the current version of the replay system, showing closing doors floating in the air on Ascent and Brimstone smokes not displaying correctly.

Unfortunately, the dev team did not provide a timeline for the replay system’s implementation into the live game.
